OH NO! NOT AGAIN!! Yes, it's been at least a couple of years and now that I'm going through it, again, it's even more ridiculous.
Ok, there are companies out there who make just a few plugins....and their installations go so smoothly! Perfectly. Whether it's the trial, the single product or the monthly subscription. But not so with Slate Digital! By now you ought to have figured this out.
Firstly, visiting the website was frustrating! It's very difficult to find your way around with all the images of products to try and find your way around. It's clear that the company is overambitious offering vast amounts of products and services yet clearly, EVEN STILL AFTER A FEW YEARS, has not yet made the installation of their products easy. I shudder to think of going back to the subscription which I quickly ended a few years ago.
I have given one more star because THEY HAVE SOME AMAZING PRODUCTS which are difficult and frustrating to install. Thank God I'm only purchasing one! This is difficult enough and actually hilarious after installing five or six other plugins seamlessly. Get your crap together Slate Digital! It's been long enough!

Please find a solution soon! I mean really soon for the iLok Dongle for perpetual licenses. It makes having the few Slate plugins I own useless. I really hate the Dongle. I have over 600 license from other companies that can either use the cloud or machine licensing. It’s been almost a year since you said you were working on a solution. Come on already! Get her done!

For a few years I was listening to this and that about plugins, and what they can do for my mixes, and masters. And foolishly, I bought into it. Hundreds, and hundreds of dollars later I found myself still giving in to the latest sensational plugin to end all plugins. I new about Slate plugins for a long time, but I wasn't willing to invest in a yearly All Bundle, All Access Pass. Long story short...I tried Slate Digital All Access Pass and fell in love with it. I was blown away with the ease of use, and the massive sound quality difference I was getting, not to mention the vast savings as a result. The professionalism and customer service is truly awesome. I know it is a to each his/her own world, but I highly recommend you start with the trial version of the All Access Pass and decide for yourself. I don't think you will be disappointed.

These plugins are now a stable in my modern mixes !!!

Slate is a company that releases products at $999 to drop the price to $499 couple years later.
I lost all my trust in this company after buying the VML-1 a great product that lost half its value, which is the opposite of what strong brands like Neumann produces.

The plugin offer is ridiculous you can't buy a plugin below $200 but you are pushed to subscribe to the all access that I personally do not want.

I've been a Slate customer for around 5 years so far. The All-Access Pass, VSX and the Steven Slate Drums packages are all state of the art, easy to use, have concise tutorials if you're not sure how to use something and their support team is prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Although I am pretty much just a hobbyist, I have been mixing music off and on since the 1970s. I trust Slate. I think you can too!

For me, this is a no-brainer. Everything I could possibly need in one giant bundle. And for less than $15 a month. So much value. So much vibe. Use it on everything. The VMR is worth it just by itself. But don't take my word for it. Dirty deeds done dirt cheap!

All I need to make it sound right. Easy updates, great value for the price, lovely tutorials. All-round great

The FG-S-Compressor Emulation is really the only emulation i found to have the real SSL Snap on a Snare Drum. I really tried all Plugins. This one sounds like my my 500-Series-Module! Thank you guys!

Tried updating the Slate Digital Connect program a few months back and I tried updating the plugins and it showed that the plugins are done downloading and have started installing, but that's just it, it kept installing for the whole night and still nothing was actually getting installed. Now in August I downloaded the new update for the Slate Digital Connect program thinking they have fixed it but NO, still the same problem. Contacted them 2 times already before this review and still nothing. They have good quality products but this new update isn't it.

Best mixing plug-ins in the game. Hands down. Anything else is a huge bonus.

Plugins are great. No debate about it. Technical support is below standards. They take a whole business day to reply back with a question. A question. The day after... another question. Simple questions. Windows or Mac? OS version? Do the plugin works on any other DAW? Did you check this or that? Terrible. No sense of urgency. Zero proactive thinking. Just reactive attitude. I had to go to their Facebook group to find more information regarding my issue. Ridiculous.

A company who constantly launches new products behaving like they have 3 months on business. Very disappointed.

If the idea behind that slow assistance is to buy time because you guys are working on solutions. Just... be... honest... say it. 2022. You make feel like expectations are nothing.

AMAZING plug ins , trailblazing in every way ,easy to to install , pro support and even a tutorial academy !
Why wouldn't you want to use the best plug ins based on THE best Eq's , Compressors ,Effects ever made?!
TOTAL value for money, absolute no Brainer !

...first and foremost : their CEO. Steven Slate is polarising, to say the least. And from the very first time you end up on their page, it's made clear that this isn't about music : it's about Slate being the best.
But.
- The desktop app is a bit instable at times
- The whole subscription bundle is somewhat messy : loading times, bugs, artefacts, etc
- M1 support came way too late for a subscription model
- The 6 month engagement you get when you wanna stop your subscription
- The way Slate interacts on its social medias
So many other things.
When, all things considered, its products are really great. They sound absolutely amazing.
But in the end, subscribing without any counterpart - even tho the bundle is absolutely stacked with plenty options - and the way it bugged out on me many times on many critical jobs (iLok model for subscription? Really?) was the end of it for me...and some other producers I know.
Will still keep an eye out for their products. But couldn't justify keeping a subscription model that instable on my systems.

The plugins are fine, worse than UAD IMHO, Too much plugins, a lot useless, and you will use only a few and the pack become really expensive for a home studio. I prefer to buy those i like not all of them yearly for nothing. I have to mention the crashes, issues, and bad ilok design. Slate must think about a cheap tiny pack for home customers

Best in class support team, plus a constantly expanding lineup of software with no change in subscription price. This approach is what today's creative consumers demand and Slate Digital delivers in spades.
