Skiset refund policy

I've always rented Skiset, it seems easy and convenient and you get lots of emails prior to your trip with "offers" to temp you to order prior to departure. The problem with that is cancellations which seems to be very unfair. Their rules are small print, like all rules, but we had a case where one of the party could not travel at the last minute with a medical issue. I cancelled the rental the day before thinking I'd get a refund. Small print, I could not get a refund. Seemed unfair, but was the rules. I then got to the shop and said I would take the rental as I could not get a refund, but was told the rental had been cancelled so I could not get a refund and not get the rental. That seemed very unfair. Skiset offered a future discount (which of course I'll get by the emails anyway), so it seems very unfair that you can pay for something, not be provided with the service and then not be able to get a refund. Cleary that is how Skiset operate. My advice would always to be wait to rent until you get up the hill, the prices seem to be the same, and general experience is independent shops offer better advice, products and service than Skiset branded shops.

Skiset in St Martin de Bellville

Skiset in St Martin de Bellville

My group hired here over half-term, a busy time that they were unable to cope with. Shop way too small, there was no space or time to give customer due diligence.
Those of us who paid for better equipment did not get it - we were just given the first thing that came to hand and pretty poor it was too.

They had taken on orders that they were unable to fulfil and were not particularly pleasant in dealing with the customers.

I've been hiring skis for decades - I wont be going back here.

Worst place I have ever rented skis

Worst place I have ever rented skis.

The lady at the shop was super rude and claimed, that i ruined her skis, and she wanted me to pay for them. When i tried to talk to her, she laughed me in the face and said i should stop being so annoying (i tried to tell her, that i didnt ruin her skis, since im a beginner, been on blue slopes and weigh 55 kg) otherwise I would have to pay more for the skis (and then she went from a price of 100 eur til 350eur - eventhough i had bought ensurance on all of the equipment). she was super rude and told me, that i could just call my mom and dad and ask them to pay for it. Im 24 and my dad is deceased and i have zero contact to my mother. I got so frustrated with her, that i started crying in the middle of the shop, and she just continued to laugh in my face.
i have never experienced a more unprofessional, rude and humiliating experience in a shop. wouldnt recommend this place to anyone !
