So, I just got scammed by Skinswap.
A bit of background: I don’t use item trading websites very often, and this is the first time I’ve encountered a situation like this.
I was browsing different trading sites to see what I could exchange my unwanted items for, and eventually my attention landed on Skinswap. I was offered a trade: my items in exchange for an M4A1-S | Fade with a small additional payment on my side. You can see the list of items I put up for trade below. The price of the Fade skin remained stable, even after I refreshed the page several times.
After topping up my balance with the missing amount, I refreshed the page again to make sure the final price of the item hadn’t changed. However, after I sent my items, the site simply showed an error. Following that, it credited the value of my transferred items to my site balance but did not send me the item I intended to receive.
When I went back to the trade page, I saw that the exact same item I had just tried to get was now listed at a price €200 higher than the original one. Because of this, the balance credited to me by the site was no longer enough to withdraw that item.
I then contacted support and asked them to resolve the issue. I offered two possible solutions:
Simply send me the item I was originally trading for.
Return my items to me.
The support agent refused both options, stating that “they do not have such a possibility.”
It’s quite surprising that the item’s price on their platform increased only after I had sent my items to their bot. Just a scam.

We’d like to clarify how Chinese market purchases work on SkinSwap, as this process is different from direct P2P trades.
In this case, you used your own items to place a purchase from a third-party Chinese seller. To do this, your items are first sent to us so we can attempt to complete the purchase on your behalf.
If the Chinese seller fails to send the item or the purchase cannot be completed, a full refund of the exact amount paid is automatically credited back to your SkinSwap balance. This is what happened here, no items were taken or lost.
Prices on Chinese listings are controlled by external sellers and can change at any time. If a seller does not deliver and the listing price later increases, we cannot guarantee the same item at the old price. For this reason, clear warnings are shown before confirming these purchases, explaining that delivery depends on the seller.
At no point are items kept without compensation, and refunds are always issued when a seller fails to deliver. If you’d like us to review your specific transaction in detail, please contact support with your SteamID64 and order information.

You cannot buy items in bulk. On the Chinese market, you have to purchase items one by one, which wastes a lot of time, especially when orders keep failing. I do not recommend using this site.

Horrible pending money system. 24 HOURS+
I've used the site for over a few months now with over $1k spent. STILL my money keeps getting put on hold whenever i deposit. (it doesnt matter if its $1 or $500)
They then tell me the ADMIN has to look into it.... and that takes 24-48 hours. And as you can guess, the skin i wanted to buy has been already been sold.
Support always kept ignoring me, leaving me on read or just stopping to reply when i had actual questions.
I asked for a refund but they've ignored me, so one can guess that this site is NOT secure for your money.
I am defenetly going to STOP using this site and rather move to a better option: UUSKINS, CSFLOAT or straight up just buy from YOUPIN yourself.
