When I set out on the course I was full…
When I set out on the course I was full of willingness and energy to complete it quickly, unfortunately I have encountered some personal problems with my father and the onset of the corona virus and the issues it has caused me at work has consumed all my time trying to run a contract with no support due to furlough of staff.
I have fallen behind in my course.
thanks to amazing help and support from Tara, Kirsty and Rachael at Skills4 stem things are looking brighter, they have helped me with a revised programme to get me back on track and I must say a huge thank you to them.
its now for me to crack on and get it done.

Good Enquiry Service
I have been enquiring into completing a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment with Skills4Stem. The customer service so far has been brilliant, courses are clearly explained from a financial and curriculum perspective.

Assignments and NVQ
Getting feedback for a recent assignment has been very slow. However the staff are keen to get issues sorted which is good to see. With regards to NVQ management I haven't been contacted since we began in October which is slightly concerning.

I have highlighted your concerns about your lack of 1-2-1 NVQ assessor visit with our Delivery Team manager and she will be in contact, it is unusual to wait that long for a 1-2-1 site visit . However despite a delay in your assessor coming out to see you (Which we will follow up with you), the group NVQ sessions you will have had at the beginning and throughout your programme are also very important to help you understand what evidence you should be uploading and help you as a group maintain progress on your NVQ, so if there is a delay in setting up the 1-2-1 site visits it should not slow up your NVQ progress.
I have arranged for my delivery manager to proactively make contact with you, but if you are still concerned please feel free to email her direct: tara@skills4stem.co.uk and she will respond during office hours.

L4 Site Supervision (Construction)
I've been learning and studying at the Skills4Stem I-Lab in Bedford. Right from the beginning I didn't feel out of place and the members of their team are extremely helpful when it came to paperwork and answering any specific questions we had. They supported me brilliantly through a family bereavement which I can't thank them enough for! I do struggle sometimes with theory based assignments (I'm more numerical), but our lecturer ensures that our classes are engaging and interactive. I really recommend Skills4Stem, as I've been able to continue with my current job and study for a degree at the same time, they've got the balance spot on to be honest.
