the hire shop were freindly but …

the hire shop were freindly but unfortunately not experienced in snowboards.Firstly they had a very limited selection of snowboards. Also there was a big problem as I was told that paying for insurance was to cover loss or snapping the board however if the board was only damaged you wouldnt have to pay. At some point I must have ridden over a rock and put a deep scratch in the base of the board. They then charged me the full price 200 euros for the cost of the board saying it couldnt be fixed. This is not true as it was a bigger then normal repair but completely repairable. I tried to argue but they wouldn't return my passport without paying and as we were leaving early i didn't have time to sort it out. This was a very bad ending to our trip and i would wait to rent once at the resort to make sure it is a experienced snowboard shop.

Insurance useless

No problems with skis or boards in Belle Plagne. But my son injured himself and had to take back his board on the first day. I tried to claim against the Ski Discount insurance on the first working day after we returned, but was told it was more than 5 working days after the incident, so too late. There is a third party insurer. Neither the insurer nor Ski Discount then returned my emails, including those submitted from the Ski Discount web site. It seems sharp practice to impose such a tight limit. If we had returned them on the second day of the holiday then claimed as soon as we got back, perhaps we could have got a refund.

All worked well.

The ski shop was fantastic. All the equipment was ready to take out. In 10 mins all 5 of my party were kitted out and walking out of the shop in Courchevel 1650. The online order form worked well.

Great value

Got what i ordered at the price i ordered in an excellent ski shop with excellent service in Arc 1950. I did take out the local ski insurance which added a couple if Euro a day but that was my choice. Will def use again.

The worst experience ever / La pire expérience jamais / Die schlimmste Erfahrung aller Zeiten

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in my long and varied history of renting skiing equipment (+25 years) across France, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

SkiDiscount.com seemed like a great deal at the time - I could book and pay for my "premium" snowboarding equipment ahead of time and get a great discount at the same time - I did think to myself at the time, was this too good to be true?

The answer was yes.

Upon getting to the store in question (Les Gets, Contat Sport 2000) the gear offered to me was not 'premium' and was not in a good condition - it had dented plastic fenders, chips and stickers all over it. Plus the wax job on it was atrociuous.

Essentially, the equipment offered to me was not as advertisied (I had picked the most expensive black prestige package). I was not happy. Plus, having seen my friends excellent snowboarding equipment from a store next door (Berthet Sport), I knew I had been completely ripped off by Contat Sport 2000 and SkiDiscount.com

Therefore, I respectfully requested a refund as I had paid ahead of seeing what they were going to offer me. The staff at Contat Sport 2000 told that yes, I would get a discount. All I had to do was contact the staff at SkiDisount.com and they would help me get this arranged. Upon hearing this, I went to Berthet Sport and rented some fantastic gear (Burton Progressive board in a pristine condition with excellent boots and bindings).

I then tried to contact SkiDiscount.com. This is where the real trouble started. I called them over 15 times but only ever got to their answering machine. I then emailed them. This took me 4 attempts to get a response. Upon hearing my complaint and request for refund - they said they needed to contact the store to do this. This took them 3 weeks and then finally they said they could only offer me a coupon back to the same store with the poor gear.

And so, here am I am absolutely regretting my choice of SkiDiscount.com. This was the only bad thing about my holiday - everything else was fantastic!

So, let us this be a warning to you! Tell all your friends, families and strangers who ski, to never ever under any circumstances use SkiDiscount.com. You'll get ripped off.

SkiDiscount.com semblait beaucoup à l'époque - je pouvais réserver et payer pour mon "premium" équipement de snowboard à l'avance et obtenir un grand rabais en même temps - je me suis dit à l'époque, était-ce trop bon pour être vrai?

La réponse était oui.

En arrivant au magasin en question (Les Gets, Contat Sport 2000), l'équipement offert n'était pas «premium» et n'était pas en bon état. Il avait des ailes en plastique dentelées, des puces et des autocollants partout. Plus le travail de cire sur elle était atroce.

Essentiellement, l'équipement offert à moi n'était pas comme annoncé (j'avais choisi le paquet de prestige noir le plus cher). Je n'étais pas content. De plus, après avoir vu mes amis excellent équipement de planche à neige dans un magasin voisin (Berthet Sport), je savais que j'avais été complètement arnaqué par Contat Sport 2000 et SkiDiscount.com

Par conséquent, je respectueusement demandé un remboursement que j'avais payé avant de voir ce qu'ils allaient m'offrir. Le personnel de Contat Sport 2000 m'a répondu que oui, j'obtiendrais un rabais. Tout ce que j'avais à faire était de contacter le personnel de SkiDisount.com et ils m'aider à obtenir cela arrangé. En entendant cela, je suis allé à Berthet Sport et ai loué un équipement fantastique (Burton Progressive board dans un état impeccable avec d'excellentes bottes et fixations).

J'ai alors essayé de contacter SkiDiscount.com. C'est là que le véritable problème a commencé. Je les ai appelés plus de 15 fois, mais seulement jamais arrivé à leur répondeur. Je leur ai envoyé un courriel. Cela m'a pris 4 tentatives pour obtenir une réponse. En entendant ma plainte et demande de remboursement - ils ont dit qu'ils avaient besoin de contacter le magasin pour ce faire. Cela leur a pris 3 semaines et puis finalement ils ont dit qu'ils ne pouvaient m'offrir un coupon retour au même magasin avec le mauvais équipement.

Et donc, ici je suis absolument regretter mon choix de SkiDiscount.com. C'était la seule chose négative de mes vacances - tout le reste était fantastique!

Alors, que ce soit un avertissement pour vous! Dites à tous vos amis, les familles et les étrangers qui ski, à jamais jamais en aucune circonstance utiliser SkiDiscount.com. Vous serez arraché.

SkiDiscount.com schien sehr viel zu der Zeit - ich konnte buchen und bezahlen für meine "Premium" Snowboard Ausrüstung vor der Zeit und bekommen einen tollen Rabatt auf die gleiche Zeit - ich dachte, mich zu der Zeit, war das zu gut Wahr zu sein?

Die Antwort war ja.

Beim Einsteigen in den Laden (Les Gets, Contat Sport 2000) war die Ausrüstung, die mir angeboten wurde, nicht "Premium" und war nicht in einem guten Zustand - es hatte plastische Kotflügel, Pommes und Aufkleber ganz darüber verbeult. Außerdem war der Wachsjob daran schrecklich.

Im Wesentlichen war die Ausrüstung, die mir angeboten wurde, nicht wie angekündigt (ich hatte das teuerste schwarze Prestige-Paket ausgewählt). Ich war nicht glücklich. Plus, nachdem ich meine Freunde ausgezeichneten Snowboardausrüstung von einem Geschäft nebenan (Berthet Sport) gesehen hatte, wusste ich, dass ich vollständig von Contat Sport 2000 und SkiDiscount.com abgerissen worden war

Daher habe ich respektvoll eine Erstattung beantragt, da ich vor dem Sehen, was sie mir bieten würden, bezahlt hatte. Das Personal bei Contat Sport 2000 sagte, dass ja, würde ich einen Rabatt erhalten. Alles, was ich tun musste, war, kontaktieren Sie das Personal bei SkiDisount.com und sie würden mir helfen, diese angeordnet. Als ich das hörte, ging ich zu Berthet Sport und mietete einige fantastische Ausrüstung (Burton Progressive Board in einem unberührten Zustand mit exzellenten Stiefeln und Bindungen).

Nach Anhörung meiner Beschwerde und Antrag auf Erstattung - sie sagten, sie brauchten, um den Laden zu kontaktieren, dies zu tun. Dieses nahm sie 3 Wochen und dann schließlich sagten sie, daß sie mir nur einen Kupon zurück zu dem gleichen Speicher mit dem schlechten Gang anbieten konnten.

Und so, hier bin ich absolut bereut meine Wahl von SkiDiscount.com. Dies war das einzige schlechte an meinem Urlaub - alles andere war fantastisch!

Also, lassen Sie uns dies eine Warnung für Sie sein! Erzählen Sie all Ihren Freunden, Familien und Fremden, die Ski, niemals unter keinen Umständen verwenden SkiDiscount.com. Du wirst abgerissen.
