What a great experience
What a great experience. From a warm and friendly welcome to an impressive visitor centre that is packed with surprises. We spent far longer looking around than we expected and for good reason, there is so much to see.

The aquarium experience is very short for the the price of admission. Excluding the the dinosaur experience you get around in half an hour. Letting too many people in at once we could not get to look properly at the fish. The dinosaur experience is run down, old tatty model's, dirty uncared for area. Cafe is ok with indoor play but the food is not bistro food as the cafe title suggests, it is quite low grade. I've visited much better places for the price we paid, £44 for 2 adults and one child.
FANTASTIC!, great place to go, friendly staff, clean interesting, love the sharks, reasonably priced, only thing I didn't like is that they moved the seats in front of the large tank, and the air-conditioning wasn't on in the cafe, on the honest day of the year, but still a MUST GO place
Big shout out to the cleaning lady we met this morning (sorry we never got your name), you are a credit to the business and so thoughtful and helpful.
Couldn't do enough to help us when my autistic child started having issues.
Gave us tips to try, took time out of her day to chat with us and try to help console the little one.
This took some stress out from our side too, never easy with special children
Got us hand stamps incase we had to leave and come back and pointed out there was soft play
Due to this we spent 30 min or so having a breather and due to that my little one calmed down significantly
This meant we got another 2 full laps of the aquarium, 2 laps of dino land and another 30 min or so of soft play
In the end we didnt need to leave and the morning was rescued
As without this we were going to have to leave after only being there 20 minutes (expensive morning).
So a massive thanks from myself, my wife, my little one and his sister
We had the most amazing time visiting Skegness Aquarium. From start to finish every member of staff we came into contact with made the experience more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend snorkelling with sharks, my 9 year old loved it. We can’t wait to go back and try a diving experience. I even left my swim bag and the aquarium went above and beyond to post it back to us, the manager Kerry also phoned to check it had arrived safely. Thank you.
Not enough credit given to these guys. Had one of my best experiences in that place
Skegness aquarium dive with Sharks and more
My absolute thanks, and praise, goes to Skegness aquarium and all its dive team. For my 70th birthday I was transported to another world when I scuba dived with the team. Meeting Josh, Adon, and Jamie, and the supervisors, who were all amazing, helping myself and the other divers on the day, to understand all their instructions, keeping us calm, and ensuring we had the best time. Our scuba equipment was waiting for us in the changing room. Although it was a strange experience donning a wet suit, for the first time, it helped enormously when told to stay under the shower all the time you were getting into the wet suit as it really did make it easier. Masks were available in all sizes and fitted really well. The introduction included how and when to do all things, where to stand, and when to move along the bottom of the aquarium. Granny shark (Pauline) was a very calming presence as she joined us as we dived.
Once we were acclimatised to the full face masks, which were so comfortable, and took some of the worry out of the experience, our jackets and tanks were fitted. Each step was carefully explained to me as a complete novice, although I had previously had the opportunity to take a “try-dive” in Gosport, Hampshire to allay any fears I had, and that helped keep me calm.
Once we were fully submerged in the aquarium, our party of three divers, were given further instructions to help us get the most out of our dive. We were diving in a tank with sharks, rays, guitar fish, and a plethora of multicoloured fish, of all shapes and sizes. I cannot explain how amazing this experience was, I had the most wonderful time, it really took my breath away. my husband was taking lots of pictures and videos from the viewing rooms, and I still can’t believe that I did dive with sharks etc., I also took advantage of the video package, a bargain at £24.99.
Visiting this very well run educational Aquarium before my dive was an complete honour, I have a better understanding of the work Skegness Aquarium does, and it was so entertaining.
The other parts of the venue were run so well, Paul at reception helped my husband find his way around, and gave me so much literature and pamphlets to take always. The staff in the cafe looked after my husband so well whilst he waited for me to enter the water.
The conservation work of the team at Skegness Aquarium is second to none. Ensuring everyone who visits goes away with a new understanding of the plight of sharks throughout the world. Save the sharks is their constant message.
I applaud the staff and dive team at Skegness Aquarium.
I would advise anyone thinking of doin this to visit YouTube and look for how to put on a wet suit and how to use a full face mask, as it really helps when you visit for a shark dive.
