I had a unique situation, because my husband asked me to sign up for SitterCity to start looking for baby sitters for our 17month old. I use my email and password, but his work details since the benef... See more

Very helpful customer service and wonderful nannies
I used it to find our nanny for our baby a few years ago and it was very helpful. Recently I contacted sittercity in order to get premium benefits my employer provides. Adrienne from customer service quickly responded to my request and helped me get these benefits.

Dee was very helpful in addressing my concerns and helping me with needs.
Very helpful
Well it was really easy to contact them and the woman who e-mailed me about the support, the woman named Adrienne S was really helpful and I was able to log in.
Dee was super helpful!
Dee told me their policy was not to give refunds and that everyone is automatically on auto renew but she also understood my circumstances in not being able to afford the unexpected auto renew charge right now and got me the refund I needed. I am sooo grateful!
I have found nannies via sitter city in the past and this experience meant that I'd feel comfortable using them again in the future, knowing that they understand things like this.
Also - be careful to downgrade your subscription once you're done using them so you don't get an unhappy surprise like I just did!

Adrienne was extremely prompt and helpful with my request. Great service!
Dee Was Great!
Dee was extremely efficient, thorough and kind. I wished more companies had employees like Dee. No negativity or attitude from Dee at all. I truly appreciate that.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I tried to sign up. I uploaded my driver license photos and my photo. They “couldn’t match” them. Like what?? I emailed and they said they need approval from trust and safety team . I’ve been waiting for over a week. What kind of website is this? Now they have my driver license and I don’t feel safe. We need a better website for finding nanny jobs. I’m really upset
Was a customer on and off for 10 years
Was a customer on and off for 10 years. After I found my last nanny, I attempted to cancel services (but I missed the 3rd button you have to press to "downgrade" your membership, assuming it was done. I asked for a refund for charges since then but they basically told me they don't believe me and won't refund. They would rather take those months of payment and lose a customer of 10 years, vs doing right by me and what is morally the right thing to do. Terrible company in that regard
Don't sign up with them
I signed up for sittercity.com and then I got terminated. When asked why, they are unable to provide a reason for removal. This is extremely unprofessional because how can we know if we did something wrong which I do not think any wrong was done of me.
Horrible customer service and no explaination for account termination
I had a bad experience with a babysitter on Sittercity.com so I gave her a 1-star review and listed the facts of why she deserved the rating. My account got deleted. Reading the terms of services I can only assume it was because of the 1 star review I left. First and last 1 star review I gave. Usually, I only left 5-star reviews or no reviews, but this last sitter was a menace and tried to scam me when I asked her to leave. I felt others should know of her actions, so they are not mistreated as I was, but I guess that goes against their TOS.
Confusing and flawed verification process
I signed up for SitterCity a few weeks ago as I am looking for a part-time sitter. I was pleased to get a lot of interest. However, a premium membership was required to respond to applications. I have been trying to sign up for a premium membership for a week. My card kept getting declined despite there being no lack of funds or issue with the card information. Ultimately I contacted their support email (I was also unable to send a message to their support team through the site after talking to a completely unhelpful chat bot) and was told that my account was flagged and I needed to verify my identity or my profile and ad would be deleted in one week. Please note nothing in the account set up process indicated a verification might be required.
I was directed to a third-party verification site to upload a government issued ID and confirm my identity. That was also a frustrating process, but I will skip that part of the story. Once I finally uploaded a copy of my driver's license to the site and passed the verification test, I reached out to SitterCity to ask if I could go ahead and sign up for Premium now.
They have not responded to this email. I have tried, again, to sign up for premium and my card is still being declined. No response to a second email and their help function on the website doesn't work.
I guess they don't want my business.
Deceptive charging practices
Deceptive charging practices. They will charge a large renewal fee with 0 prior notification and a no refund policy leaving you stuck with a year membership you might not want.
Unethical charges and policies
The company is unethical in their charging, they did not notify me they were going to charge me for a 1 year membership and tell me that it's non refundable. I won't be using the service at all and they won't give the fee back.
Stay away from this company
Their business model is predicated on charging you as much money as possible without you realizing it because they know nobody would ever pay their ludicrous fees willingly. Stay away from this company.
They use predatory practices for their…
They use predatory practices for their billing. They make you send an email to cancel your auto renewal, but they do not sending billing receipts (they send plenty of other spam and garbage emails but not bills). We just found out they have been charging our card for 2.5 years after we canceled. They refuse to refund more than a very small amount of the money. The customer service rep is extremely rude and threatening. Never ever pay them. They will charge you forever.
Removed my account without explanation
They removed my account without (1) telling me that they were doing it and (2) without telling me the reason why. They only provided the general reasons why I gets removed from the site, like not following the terms of service. Seems shady when they can't even allow someone a chance to defend themselves against being accused of not following the terms of service.
Sittercity.com: Consistently good experiences over 2-3 years, several years ago
Consistently good experiences!
I used sittercity.com (SC) several years ago to find work as a childcare provider. I was pleased with how the SC website worked, and also with the work I was able to find.
I very much preferred SC over another well-known online childcare/babysitter referral agency (C_ _ _.com). Once I began using SC to find work I didn't return to the other online agency. The reviews written by those who used the other agency say it all, and I agree with the reviews that I read about that agency.
Thank you Sittercity.com for being so user friendly and intuitive. I have recommended you to parents several times.
I was not asked to write this review by anyone.
As a previous child care provider with a little experience in the field of Elementary Education and also being an older parent myself then, being able to read reviews to help me make important decisions about matters like childcare has always been very helpful!
I only recently learned about Trust Pilot, so this review is from several years ago, but I still wanted to share it. I searched for SC on this site and shared my thoughts to hopefully help other parents and providers who have to make the same important decisions. I hope this might be helpful ☀️
