I'm fairly flabbergasted (that's 'very surprised' for the younger crowd!) because I received an in-person visit from A SIRO rep this morning to review my issue and his explanation turned the responsibility back to a crumbling Eir network so that's me signing up to Sky!
The workers who did the groundwork outside our home were freindly and hard-working. However, one year later we now find that Eir cannot install their service to us because the pipe through which the cable will go is blocked by some concrete arising from the SIRO job. So the SIRO work blocked the Eir service duct and I cannot contact anyone in Siro as they provide no telephone number. Their website allows only two things: The first is to check if your area has highspeed broadband and the other is to tell you to contact your service provider if you have a problem. Oh yes, the infoatsiro.ie where it's lost in the ether!

I've had Siro through differnet providers since it came into my area a numnber of years ago (Balbriggan). I have never had any issues with it and it has never dropped. I have had a wifi issue but that is the eproviders fault on their modem and not SIRO.

Very bad experience were trying to get insulation done to the house and trying for weeks to get rid of this black box installed on our house we had Vodafone broadband then switched to sky.We contacted sky they were useless half of them don't even speak English eventually they passed this issue onto activo..they were useless also sent an engineer out to have a look and pf course they passed this issue onto siro but there zero communication through all these useless company's I had to do all the work tracking it down on who's doing what.Eventually u got sick of this and told them I was going to pull it off the wall meself cause I couldn't wait any longer.Siro are useless all they have is an email to contact them..found and email god knows how but this woman who works for the company was very good and got the box removed asap(amanda.glancy@siro. ie)

Awful experience!!... Been a client of Digiweb for a month and had my SIRO network down twice already. I work from home and need a reliable internet to get my job done! SIRO IS NOT RELIABLE at all! Stay away if you have other options.
SIRO - Exceptionally poor service.
I signed up for Sky Ireland's high speed broadband three weeks ago. Since then, there has been two outages on the SIRO network. Sky say it's "not our problem"... but the fact is, they are not providing the service that I've paid for. Exceptionally poor service in every way.

VIRGIN MEDIA AND SIRO - USELESS
Oredered Virgin media broadband with their "red house expierience", date for SIRO technician to come was 08/01/2024. Waited till 11/01 riand virgin and while on the phone they made new contract (never asked for one), date for technician was set 18/01. After 2 days lady from virgin called me and confirmed that 18/01/ IS CONFIRMED. still waiting....

No wifi and no response
We moved in on the 15th of December to the Ballymakenny new builds in Drogheda. As I work from home Wifi was my top priority. SIRO website said I had fibre to my house so I purchased Sky Broadband. Engineer came out on the 5th and was unable to install as the box had no signal in any of the ports.
On the 5th I logged a ticket with SIRO to enquire about it (10 working days response time apparently). After waiting 12 days I still have no response.
Actavo who work on “behalf” of SIRO are waiting on SIRO to send somebody out to connect our estate. Actavo logged a ticket with Siro and SIRO still havnt even gotten back to Actavo. The communication is horrendous between both parties.
I will post again in 2 months if I even get a response to my ticket by then!
Ridiculous waiting times for technicians
We have spent 7 days without internet with Virgin Media because of a problem with the siro white box. Siro is not sending a technician til the 8th of January, which leaves us a whole month without broadband. On top of that it is impossible to contact siro directly, I messaged them in Facebook and they do not reply. We go with this service because it is the only available in our area, but I had EIR before in my previous house and it was infinitely much better.
Siro - where are you???
I registered for Sky Fibre Broadband over 2 months ago and despite the Siro website informing me that the service is available at my address, Sky tell me that Siro have work to do and the message on my account is to "tell me to wait" with no indication of what I'm waiting for or how long. I have tried to contact Siro multiple times but get no answer. I am beyond frustrated with the delay but even more so with the lack of communication and information. If I had any other option I would not be choosing this service but the I have been informed there is no other service available in my area for new connections. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has alternative options.
If I'm on a list for work to be done how gard can it be to provide me with that information.

Great customer support
My broadband went down yesterday and engineers Paul and Mick arrived this morning they had me up and running within an hour. I'm so happy with Siro for the past 21months. Many thanks to Paul and Mick who made this old man feel at ease.

Dont get upset because you cannot get siro broadband, It's rubbish.
I have siro broadband, it has never got near the speed it is supposed to,I have contacted the provider twice and they were helpful enough and emailed me a list of suggestions on how to fix it myself to no avail, you could not make it up If you tried so do not be to upset if you cannot get connected it's rubbish.
The only assistance you will get from siro is " it is nothing to do with us contact your provider" I contacted the provider " Oh sorry Dermot nothing wrong with Siro it must be your brand new laptop computer, try a different one. If you connect to Siro you are in for a world of disapointment I am paying for 1000Gbps Download and 100Gbps upload It might run at 500Gbps if it is in the humour and the glorious speed of 5Gbps upload not bad out of 100.

SIRO laid Fibre but cannot connect
SIRO laid Fibre in our neighbourhood last October 2022. I ordered service from in March 2023 but, TLI came out and said the that due to the ESB duct size they would need SIRO to dig up the car park which is fine. I was called the next day by TLI informing me that SIRO could not do this and basically "tough luck". Now, my neighbours and I can't get high speed internet. Not sure what to do now, I guess we all need to move to get better internet....

Can't get broadband/wait till till October
Siro pole is available in the area , neighbours already have broadband and when I contacted siro through email to get connected as well they replied I should wait till October. The broadband is very important to anyone nowadays especially for work.I only need a cable from siro pole to my house which is about 10 meters but I am still struggling and going no where .

I contacted Siro at there info email as I wanted the Siro cable and box removed from the front of my house. The connection speed was always unsatisfactory and grey box on the front of the house is unsightly. Basically got the run around that they were not responsible for doing this and I would have to organise through Sky. Of course Sky won’t help you if you’ve cancelled. If Siro own the cable they should be responsible for disconnecting it as it’s their cabling. I’ll have no choice but to look at having some other 3rd party remove it as they refuse to.

Siro avail to town, just not me..
Contacted Siro as according to their site, they are available in my area. I'm smack in the middle between businesses and houses, but apparently it's not available and not going to be as they have no intention of rolling it out. Surely that's false advertising in some way. Very disappointed, my home apparently even though is in the middle of the town is a black hole no company will touch. If a company states it's available in the area it needs to be, other wise don't lie and falsifiy the data to make your company look better than it actually is.

Disappointing experience, would not recommend.
I have been trying to get an Internet provider for weeks to install my broadband. Both vodaphone and sky have said its a building issue and siro are at fault. Would highly not recommend this company. Disgraceful service!!
