Select by Sirf Coffee presents itself as a premium matchmaking service. In my case, however, matches were largely unsuitable - often outside my stated age or location preferences and felt reactive to my reach outs rather than proactive. At times, I felt pressured to proceed even when it was clear the profiles did not align. One match openly told me he had not paid for the service and was later banned after disclosing that fact. I was told verbally in my initial call that all members were going to be financially committed and vetted.

When I raised concerns, the eventual response I received was to extend my membership indefinitely - but that was useless as no further matches were provided. Refund requests were denied, and instead of working with me to resolve the under delivery, the company eventually (after much pushing) suggested a settlement paired with conditions about not “bad mouthing” the company. I want to be clear: I never intended to “bad mouth” the service, only to be honest about my experience so I did not take this offer.

Ultimately, I pursued the matter through my credit card company not knowing what would happen and received a refund after submitting documentation showing what was promised versus what was delivered. For potential clients, I strongly recommend either asking for a split-fee arrangement or, at minimum, ensuring all commitments about match timings, match criteria etc. are confirmed in writing. This not only sets expectations but also gives you recourse if the service does not meet what was represented.

The founder himself acknowledged onboarding 90 women and 0 men in the month of July due to lack of “sufficient quality” men, which made me question whether they had the right pool to deliver on their promises for anyone. My advice: ask the hard questions before paying a lump sum, and make sure the answers are documented.

I like Sirf Coffee's approach to getting a feel for each of their customers and matching them accordingly. For the most part, I've had some common ground with the matches I've been introduced to and the dates have been enjoyable. They apply their judgement when setting up matches based on their understanding of their customers.

I've been using Sirf Coffee for a few months now, and it's been surprisingly effective. Applying and setting up a profile is easy and straightforward. What I appreciate most is the quality of matches—I've had meaningful conversations with people who share similar interests and values. While I wasn't too sure about the concept of blind dating, I do like that I'm allowed my privacy and the freedom to share as much as I'm comfortable with. Overall, it's been a positive experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to meet someone new.

I had my moments of frustration or wondering when the next date might be set up and I had dates that were very much not for me, but throughout the experience, I could always understand why, at least on paper, it seemed like the person I was set up with might be a good match for me.
One thing I learned early on was that many people don't give proper feedback of what went well and what didn't; I would highly recommend you think about what you're looking for and why and give the Sirf team clear feedback for every date. My first date was someone who enjoyed going out almost nightly and hanging out with different friends or going about; I'm more of an ambivert myself. I gave Sirf this feedback and never got matched with someone like that again (no judgement on him and I hope he's also found his person, but it just wasn't going to be for me).
What I also loved is that there was no pressure to get married, but it was clear that people who signed up were looking for some kind of longterm relationship so I didn't need to waste any time wondering about that.

As far as dating options for Indians / British Indians go, Sirf Coffee is best in class. I signed up on their "Select" package, which I thought was a tad pricey. It took them about a month before they set up on my first date, which was a bit disconcerting at first. However, Sunil and his team took the time get to know me, and I have been set up on four dates (three in London, one in Dubai). UPDATE: I'm currently dating someone from the platform. Fingers crossed!

Thrilled with the experience, the team understands all your preferences and what you look out for in a partner. Attention to detail and personalised approach is what sets them apart. Its nice straight up meeting via a real conversation in person or on a video call after a brief intro. Its like a blind date set up by a friend who knows what might work for you. A lot more efficient than swiping through photos and exchanging 50 text messages before meeting.

Their services were professional and their approach sets them apart from mainstream matchmakers. They took out the ambiguity from online dating in the way the pre and post date processes were structured. I believe irrespective of the outcome, the RoI could have been better. I recieved inadequate number of matches (<6) for the 8 months I was enrolled, and sometimes the matches were not a mutual fit. I would have also liked to see some proactive visibility around my next date.
