Great atmosphere

Alhamdulilah the team behind this has produced a very comprehensive, easy to follow guide on tajweed all in once place. May Allah swt accept and help them grow & improve in the future.

Overall a great tajweed course. The structure and style of teaching was different from what I was used to. However, it was easy to follow and understand. Thanks to this course, I find it easier to recognise certain rules when reciting the Qur’an, and I am able to apply these rules which I had learnt. The course was quite content heavy, so it does require consistency in order to keep up.

A very good resource for anyone to learn Tajweed - all the concepts and rules are explained well and can be simply understood by the average person.

The course was amazing! I loved the short digestible videos. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to improve their tajweed.

The course does a great job of bringing together all the key elements of learning Tajweed and manages to present it in a well-structured and simplified way which is accessible for people of all ages and abilities.

Alhamdulillah, I found the course really well organised, and the concepts were explained in a simple way.
The sifaat section was also very accessible – I’ve seen it taught in a much more complex way before, but this approach kept it simple, and the examples made it easy to understand without overthinking the theory.

I was abit nervous about starting this class due to the idea of learning tajweed being daunting at first. However ustadh Mohammed and Bilal made me feel at home in the class and really opened my eyes to the science of tajweed. I’ve really enjoyed every moment of the class, from the structured curriculum to the fun interactive games we’ve played along the way. I would highly recommend this class to anyone at any stage of their tajweed journey. May Allah make it easy for us all and draw us closer to him.

SimplyTajweed has been a great beginners course into Tajweed - helping you learn the complexities of Tajweed in an easy and digestible format. The lessons have been fun and engaging thanks to both teachers - Islam and Bryar. May Allah bless and reward them both immensely.

I attended the course through my University and honestly it's a game changer. I really struggled with my pronunciation and tajweed and genuinely, I've seen such a change in my recitation. I feel like a next level sheikh when I'm reciting now lol. The ustaadh really keeps the classes engaging [by picking on us], it's truly a safe space to get things wrongs.

One of the most engaging and entertaining classes I've been to. Follows a clear structure that keeps students both engaged and clear on materials. Designed for all skill levels and is led by two wonderful individuals.

Very well structured classes mashAllah and amazing content in store for those at any skill level of reading the Quran. Helps understand the words of Allah better and the teaching is good. As for my teacher Qusay, extremely knowledge mashAllah and able to help in any area during this course. Alhamdulillah I could read Quran with Tajweed prior to this course, however, there was so much more to learn for myself.

Alhamdulillah for Simply Tajweed. I’ve struggled with pronouncing letters of the Quran and to read with fluency but the teacher, my class mates and the simple to follow books made it a lot easier. I have nearly finished the course with simply tajweed. I really appreciate all the resources that are available. The teachers are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the content and make it easier to learn when you feel the teacher has genuine interest. The course has a great atmosphere with alot of support such as the buddy system. The course its self is very well organised. I really appreciate that each lesson is compact which helps me concentrate and feel as sense of accomplishment. The lessons are explained well and has examples so you can practice. There are also tables and diagrams to help more visual learners. I would really recommend this course for anyone who has not formally studied tajweed.

I signed up to this course through University of Manchester ISOC. The classes are very thorough and simplified so anyone can understand. Mohammed Saeed and Bilal Shariff are both great teachers and answer any question very clearly. They have helped me to become more confident in reading. The lessons are really engaging and structured, covering all aspects. I can definitely see an improvement and would recommend these classes to everyone. The lessons are taught in a way that is really easy and simple to understand and this helped me correct mistakes I didn’t know I was making. I have learnt so much in these lessons and find the teaching tailored to people of all levels in terms of tajweed.

I was part of the Manchester 2024/25 Programme. Would highly recommend this course to those wanting to learn or refresh their memory on tajweed rules.

I learnt tajweed to the same high level when I was 11, SubhanAllah, so this refresher was definitely necessary after a whole decade!

The course started off with the basics on how to pronounce each letter correctly - very important - before moving onto our favourite qalqalah, ikfhaa, izhaar etc.

This tajweed class has motivated me to read more quran and in turn has made me closer to my deen. The weekly classes has pushed me to study the work and catch up when needed.
The lessons are structured really well and have very through diagrams and explanations.
I would highly recommend this to anyone that requires a little push to stay on track with reading qur’an :)

I am really glad I signed up to this course. It has not only helped me improved my Tajweed, but has also helped me get closer to my Deen!

The course is well structured, starting from the very basics (the Arabic alphabet and articulation points) and gradually progressing on to more advanced material. The books that are provided are very detailed and do not overwhelm the reader, with a beautifully structured layout and text that is easy to read and understand (ensuring that you can use them both whilst on the course with the teachers as well as on your own). There are also exercises at the end of each book and QR codes that allow you to listen to helpful audios.

Of course running a successful Tajweed class would not be possible without great teachers. Both Mohammed Saeed and Bilal Shariff were the absolute best! They were very knowledgeable, informative, clear and always made sure to provide very detailed explanations throughout each module as well as when answering any questions the students had. They ensured the classes always remained engaging, with great presentations, quizzes and class recitation periods.

On top of this, even though they were firm at times, as teachers must be, they always remained incredibly kind and thoughtful and genuinely invested in providing a great learning environment for the students. May Allah reward them immensely for every effort they have made.

I cannot recommend this course enough. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, there is plenty to learn and I would do it all over again in a heart beat! The feeling you get when you open the Quran and realise how much you have improved after these lessons is priceless, and I am really grateful to have had this unforgettable learning experience.

The Leeds ISOC 24/25 programme was amazing, the teaching was world class and was very inclusive. Both Islam Elserougi and Bryar were very helpful and supportive throughout the course; providing excess materials outside of class to help us improve our tajweed.
