24 Hr Delay Issue

I was trying to exchange USDC to SOL and after deposit i waited like 40 min then nothing changed. After that i connect to the their SUPPORT and they said exactly "Unfortunately, the system did not recognize the deposit for the exchange as it was sent via a smart contract. Can we complete it at the current rate of 0.0279711 SOL? ". I accepted it and now they told me to wait up to 24 hr for it. i prefer you to use another exchange platform.

Hi!

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your experience.

The delay occurred because the USDC deposit was sent via a smart contract, which our system does not process automatically. In such cases, the transaction needs to be handled manually by our team.

We understand that waiting is frustrating, and we’re working to make this process smoother in the future.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience. If you decide to give us another try, we’ll be happy to assist you!

Simpleswap is a scam

Read simpleswap.io reviews on Reddit and you will see droves of people that have been scammers by them

All there 5 star reviews are fake.

They list their address as Marshall Islands but it seems they Russian scammers hiding in a country cut off from other countries where there is not extradition.

Seems the honourable Artem Eremenko behind this company scamming the customers from Russia.

This company is a scam. They find their registration number, try to find their address, try to find their phone number, try to find their office bearers, try to find any profile of their, try to find anything of them and all you will find is a mirage.

They have no oversight, have no registration, and no decency either.

Run away from these people.

Report them to the FBI and your companies crypto scam investigators.

Give a reward for information on their address and the people behind the scams whereabouts.

They give crypto a bad name

Hi Alfred,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and would like to assist you.

Please provide the transaction hash (TXID) and submit it via our support form or ticket system so we can investigate your case in detail.

Also, regarding KYC — we only request verification if a transaction is flagged by our security system based on international compliance standards. KYC is not required for every exchange and is applied only in specific cases, such as suspicious activity or when funds must be returned.

We do not hold funds without reason, and we’re happy to resolve this once we have the necessary details.

Scamming platform

This seems like a scam where they keep customers funds based on their ‘internal risk assessment’ and give no logical explanation of why they are keeping and no answer to when they would send the funds back.

How can they tell people that?

When they keep the customers funds who can the customer complain to? The people who have taken their funds?

Where the fairness in that?

How wonderful for them that if they find fault with you for any arbitrary reason that isn’t explained clearly then they keep your funds for them. They must love that.

They advertise themselves as no KYC then tell customers they keeping the funds as the customers must do KYC

Seeming we are sending them our money would it be too much to ask for the address of their company, the names of their office bearers, their audited financial statements, their ‘team’, work history and education backgrounds?

Certainly a reputable company would publish this.

We all know who works at coinbase, Binance, even the FTX scammers were all known.

Their workers, headquarters, CEO’s etc

This is a ghost company.

I think people must stop sending a ghost company in an unknown country run by unknown people money.

If they dissapear with your funds who will you apply to for help?

They certainly aren’t under any oversight.

I think this ‘company’ is under pressure and now is starting to pull the rug out from under their customers.

I think someone must track them down and make a documentary of them and show the world who is simpleswop.

Who runs the show? Who works in the office, where is the office, so we can see who we dealing with as it is only guilty or fearful people that hide.

Why must they hide in darkness when they want their ‘customers’ details and particulars. Surely theirs should also be known

Surely it is time these people come under some scrutiny.

They give a street name as their address (no number given) in the Marshall Islands. Google their address and see if u can find them.

What honest person would hide?

After further investigation I found this scam is run by Artem Eremenko

Read Kabula’s review giving an overview of the scam and addresses and shell companies

I found Mr Artem runs this ‘company’ from Florida USA . Wonder why they don’t use that address in their company filings?

Strange how the international fraudster makes his home in US.

Hi Swordsman Noble,

We understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to address them.

SimpleSwap is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange. This means we do not hold user funds — coins are exchanged and sent automatically, without storing them in a third-party wallet. However, in rare cases, a transaction can be flagged by AML systems for further review. This is not arbitrary — it’s a requirement to stay compliant with international financial security practices and to ensure we are not facilitating illegal activity. Many reputable platforms, including non-custodial ones, follow similar risk-based approaches.

Regarding KYC, we do not require identity verification from all users. KYC is only triggered in specific situations involving risk flags and this is clearly stated in our Terms of Use.

As for our legal structure:

Our company is legally registered and operates in accordance with relevant jurisdictional laws.

We are transparent about what we are: a crypto-to-crypto swap platform, not a brokerage, not a bank.

We do not publish personal information about employees, just like we don’t share yours — for privacy and security reasons.

If your transaction is under review, we welcome you to contact our support team with your Transaction ID so we can look into it and provide direct help.

We aim to offer a secure, smooth, and compliant experience, and we regret if your experience didn’t reflect that. Let’s resolve it constructively.

Still waiting on $50,000 XMR transaction, no update in days

I submitted a 165 XMR transaction (~$50K) on July 21st, and after passing KYC and submitting all requested documentation, including transaction sources, wallet proof, and invoices, I’ve received no update in over 5 days.

The support team was initially responsive but has gone silent despite my polite follow-ups.

I understand the need for AML checks, but the lack of transparency and prolonged silence around a large transaction is extremely concerning.

I’m happy to update or revise this review if the issue is resolved promptly, but others should be cautious about sending large amounts, especially with privacy coins.

Hi!

Thanks for your message and for sharing your concern.

To assist you promptly, could you please provide the transaction hash? Also, we kindly ask you to reach out to our support team via the ticket system if you haven’t already — this helps us ensure your case is properly tracked and escalated.

Please note that KYC is not required for all transactions. It is only triggered when our security system flags a transaction based on specific compliance criteria (for example, large amounts or unusual patterns). In such cases, KYC becomes mandatory to proceed.

These checks can sometimes take time, but they are a critical part of keeping the platform secure and trustworthy.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding!

Stealing customer funds

Sent 2.8 eth for swop to usd

They froze my coins and asked for kyc
I passed kyc and asked then asked them to compete or send the funds back

They did not do either and said they can’t send the funds back, and asked for more documents of where the funds have come from etc

I send them proofs of the payment and where I got the funds

Still they have not refunded or completed the exchange

This ‘company’ has no registered address or place where you can go to them

No oversight to make complaints to

Hello!

By our AML/KYC policy, we reserve the right to stop the deposit for verification if our security system has notified us that the funds may be involved in illegal activities.

Your case is currently under review. We'll do our best to speed up the review process and notify you as soon as we have any updates. We apologize for the delay in resolving this case.

Warning to other users

Warning to other users: I’ve used SimpleSwap in the past without issues, but now they’ve withheld 1 BTC and are refusing to release it.

I provided full KYC and proof of source of funds, yet they continue to delay with excuses. Transaction ID: 1mwa1oz6oz9l3oso.

After checking Trustpilot, I found many others reporting the same issue. This seems like a pattern of stalling and withholding funds.

I plan to escalate to cybercrime authorities.

Avoid SimpleSwap — this platform is no longer trustworthy.

⚠️ Update:
This warning still stands. The exchange continues to respond to complaints here with the same generic lines about “KYC” and “AML” procedures. This is a facade. Nothing meaningful is being done behind the scenes—it’s a delay tactic while users are systematically scammed.

Be warned: Many users, myself included, are being scammed under the guise of compliance. The platform is not operating in good faith. Stay away. Protect your funds !

Dear customer,

Unfortunately, your exchange for was flagged during AML screening due to a combination of risk indicators, which requires enhanced due diligence. The initial KYC attempt was automatically rejected, and our security team requested additional Source of Funds documentation.

At SimpleSwap, we are deeply committed to maintaining a robust and effective framework to prevent financial crimes, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other illicit activities. Our approach is rooted in a strong culture of compliance, upheld by strict adherence to regulatory obligations.

We understand this delay is frustrating. However, as stated in our Terms of Use and in line with AML regulations, we cannot proceed with the exchange or issue a refund until the verification process is complete.
