Horrible company
Horrible company. Received new bibs “$300” zipper was jammed at the bottom and wouldn’t move. First pull to try on and it snapped off. Called Simms customer service and got told would be a warranty repair and I have to send pics and go through all the step. These are brand new! Never work! Received like this and this is what I have to go through. Oh and my pictures with request sent in 2 days ago and still no contact back. These, along with the coat will be sent back and I’ll never do business with Simms, strictly for the customers service issues.
The customer service at Simms just…
The customer service at Simms just sucks. The staff are either too cool for skool or totally burned out. I'm guessing a little of both. Such a shame when you spend a premium to have good gear and then have terrible attitudes on customer service. Do better Simms!
Simms Flyweight Wading Shoe
I bought a pair of the Flyweight wading shoe (not the boots). They were touted as both a hiking and wading shoe for accessing remote areas. I needed them to hike six miles over easy trail. First, they are not light. Second, they are bulky. Third, they are slippery. Fourth, and most importantly, they have caused nasty blisters on both feet. I’ve tried to wear them in, thinking that’s what they need, but despite bandaids they still cause blisters. Since I’m past 60 days I can’t return them. I’m really disappointed in the product, so much so that I’m returning to Patagonia that sticks by their products.

This product review deserved less than 1-star... *** Warning*** to Dry Creek bag owners...
I'll let the Customer Service dialog tell the story...Spoiler alert - they botched it!
Now I own the damaged-Simms Bag and a brand NEW Filson Drybag (that I should have purchased in the first place!).

Hey Mike,
Thank you for reaching out regarding this case.
Taking a look at that bag with my repairs center, this is something that does not constitute a replacement or warranty issue. This is purely a cosmetic issue that had to do with the sanitizer stripping the color off of the pack.
The color is also something that we would not be able to fix because it looks as if the color was stripped right off of the bag.
Although we aren't able to repair your replace this bag, we are happy to extend a discount code if you would like to purcahse a new bag, or anything else of off our website.
Please use this code during the checkout screen:
Best regards,
Layne P.

Hi Simms warranty department,
I’m a Simms superfan of your fly-fishing equipment from 5-6 sets of waders, multiple boots, vests, bags, hats and more…
About 2-3 years ago I purchased a Simms Dry Creek Z Fishing waterproof backpack as I was shifting from Alaska trips… to Belize and Mexico for Bonefish and Permit…
However, last week as I was flying to Mexico for this Bonefish/Permit trip, and my hand sanitizer attached to the outside of my Simms backpack opened up in flight and spilled down the outside of my Dry Creek backpack. To my surprise, the Purell hand sanitizer stained my backpack (see picture attached).
I have repeatedly tried to clean the backpack with water, and again with light soap, and nothing has removed the stain on my backpack! Do you have any suggestions or remedy I can try?
Frankly, I’m shocked, surprised and frustrated that this $300+ Simms Dry Creek Z backpack would get stained from hand sanitizer. Moreover, if hand sanitizer (or similar alcohol solution) can stain this backpack and shell material -- there should be a WARNING label or additional warning with the packaging material (my backpack was sold without box or packaging material/information?).
So, I’m respectfully requesting Simms repair or warranty replace this bag. Let me know if you have any questions or recommendations how you can assist.
Kind regards,

Nice Guarantee eh?
I hope their products are better than…
I hope their products are better than the customer service. Very cavalier attitude from the bros out in Bozeman. After allowing me to order wader and boots online only to find that the boots were on back order brah!!! Have been back ordered for 2 months and the attitude and carelessness of support staff is disgusting. No willingness to assist. Buy literally any other brand.

1-star Google Review I just Posted online:
I bought a pair of their top-end wading boots. The retailer assured me they were best out there and Made in USA like all Simms gear, and Simms was known for standing by it products. Well, I for one, can tell you that has not been my experience. The toe rubber has cracked on both boots and is separating after three outings of use. I sent Simms pictures and they told me to send them in under Warranty. After waiting weeks to hear from them they tell me they won’t repair or replace them. They claim the problem is cosmetic only. No, its not, the cracks go right through the seams, sand is getting jammed in there, and these are going to fail early.
Oh, and I find out the boots are MADE IN CHINA!!
I let Simms clearly know they have dissatisfied this customer and I can’t recommend them or their products, because in this case, the product is defective and they are unwilling to make it right with this customer. So, this company isn’t as good as retail fly shops claim. With the premium price one pays I expect better treatment when there is a problem.

I e-mailed Simms regarding an item of tackle that broke and if it could be repaired. Three e-mails and no answer at all from them. Customer service terrible.
