Pure trash

Started out normal enough. I was able to connect pretty well at the sites inception around 2015 to 2016. Mature level headed adults seeking genuine friendship and connection. I STILL maintain meaningful contact with a few of those users and enjoy doing so.

Enter 2017 onward. It became a haven for fetishism , punk kids with big mouths , cyber trolls , and basically anyone who in normal life would be ostracized and perhaps sent for a psych eval.

On top of that. The moderator staff protects those who speak ill of Western Society and values. They lean STRONGLY left and routinely target those who stand up for themselves when bullied by the ANTIFA activist hordes and don't sheepishly apologize and comply. Its hypocrisy at its pinnacle laced with weirdness and leftist politics taboot. I received virtually no warning. And was permanently banned off the bat. Which surprised me because I have seen FAR WORSE posts and trash talk than I ever engaged in go unanswered and tolerated.

Normal people should avoid it.

A honest review of similar worlds

I've been there from the start and I read the reviews of some of this people and wonder what is compelling them to exaggerate the conditions at similar worlds to the point it sounds like a cesspool, I have never gotten a nude picture sent to me. In the yrs it's been open. There are smart mouth people and bullies, some pervs all ages and male and female. If one says something you have a option to block. I seen fussing about only 500 blocks are aloud. That could be so I don't know. I might have blocked Three people. And the reason was I got tired of them try to intimate me. I blocked and they were gone. I mean if 500 isn't enough then something is wrong with you not the site. Get your feelings off your sleeves and take some criticism for the things you post. They are there for others to read and express there opinions on. Freedom or speech remember. There are catfish accounts but honestly aren't there on every site. People don't do anything more here than anything other social media site. It has members that are to sensitive because it's not as perfect as the think. As far as the categories go, there are some that could be done away with, alot are duplicates there from sexual ones to I love God but it's what we have to work with for the time being. So making do is a given. I think in all honesty that my review is the only one accurate and honest. I can tell some were written in anger. That's not a reliable review in my opinion. Similar worlds is still a work in progress if you want a perfect site to socialize then you won't find it there. But if you want one that is from my point of view a fairly good one as good as any other right now then it's perfectly fine. If you decide to come see us then welcome to the site and have a wonderful time.
If you have have this review helpf please give it a thumbs up

I love SW but at times it seems to me rules for some and some for others

I find the vast majority of users to be decent honest people but there will always be those who think they are above anyone else

Iv'e had lot's of warnings about being banned yet when i ask for proof of what i supposedly did to break the T.O.S. None is ever shown to me which leads me to believe i get reported and flagged over the silliest of opinions yet i'm the one who gets warned

I do thank SW for being here albeit it needs improving and over time i'm sure it will get better

Seems to be a mecca for anti-trump bashers

Seems to be a mecca for anti-trump rhetoric. Yes it has it's share of the depressed diaper crowd but blocking helps clean up your feed.

It is unfortunate you can only block 500 unpaid. As users are banned they create new accounts, but they are easy to spot.

There does not seem to be any pedo activity, just people claiming any conversation is that mentions any person under 18 regardless of the topic.

There are a handful of trolls who just like to cause trouble but they are easily screened.

Seems like great fun for a minute

Seems like great fun for a minute, but responding to people who have nothing going on in their lives but posting shocking idiocy online all day gets old. Only a true psychopath can continuously get a kick out of it. Makes you sick after a while tbh. Look out for the regular mature crowd of people there who were also on Experience Project, a bunch of miserable boring pseudo-spiritual deadheaded wombats who flock together and get upset and block and flag any time anybody says something halfway intelligent that ruffles their watertight sphincters. What's odd about that, though, is that they never block and flag the catfish or the perverts. This particular species of wombat appears to not like sense and logic. And then there is the regular toxic waste of attention-seeking bimbos, dirty catfish, bed-wetters, diaper wearers, hideous cross dressers, and garden variety perverts. Truth be told the trolling on Similar Worlds is amateur at best. At its best it will make you laugh, at its worst it should make you shake your head for a second and that's about it. There's a stories section and a questions section. The admin are basically useless and nonexistent, the only time you see or hear from them is when some bunch of derps has flagged your darkly hilarious post, and even that is an automated message. Overall it's just a bunch of losers, bimbos and attention seekers who smell like patchouli and desperately need the circle jerk they get on the site to make themselves feel better about their sad empty lives. There are a few cool people there, though, so respect and interact with them and either mock or ignore the rest. Bit of both usually works. I would say that it is a 1 or 2% improvement over Experience Project. Somebody please bring back sludgefeast.

I signed up with the intent of using a platform similar to Experience Project. While they seem similar on the surface, you begin to realize it is completely uncensored...and by uncensored many users basically bring up a lot of sex crazed topics, inbox you and ask if you can call them "daddy" and give them a virtual "spanking" within the first day of joining.

The community is comprised of catfish accounts, and absuive admins.

I don't doubt that this can be an enjoyable site, but in order for that to happen, you must be perverse, attractive, and into debasing yourself.

My take

I personally like this site to vent and share my experiences. I’ve been here for about 2 years. A word of caution, it’s not for everyone especially if you are looking for genuine connections or honesty. There are a lot of sex crazed people or pedos there which I block. You can also change your settings so you don’t have to see nudity and you can now filter your feed.

Mildreadful’s awesome review

Maybe not the most popular site and maybe you need a bit of resilience to survive but I love it there. Some brilliant people and some good content. It could use some more users to improve it even more! Besides I’m there so what could possibly be bad 😏😏

Take it with a grain of salt

I think the site has its merits but there are also a lot of bad things going on. What killed the site was the allowing of nudity and adult content, attracting a lot of users who just want to see something dirty.
The site lost its mission and vision , it became less about sharing experiences and more of just showing off. There are some great members on tge site who write about their experiences and genuinely want feedback.

People get away with creating multiple accounts or creating fake accounts along with fake stories. If you are expecting any honesty from the members, you will really be disappointed.

Disappointment for those who expected to find a site similar to Experience Project

This site should be clearly marked as an adult site with included warning of sexual content. I believe that users younger than 15 shouldn't be allowed to use it at all.

In its beginnings, Similar Worlds was offered as a substitute for Experience Project. However, SW didn't follow the concept of separate groups where members could easily connect with each other through similar interests. Its developers created one communal space instead, where all kinds of people interact with each other: children, teenagers, adults, sexual deviants... The result is that all users see all content by default, often involuntarily and with very limited options to filter what they want to see.

Whoever wants to find their "similar world" must put double effort to find it in the large crowd of all kinds of users screaming one through another in constantly flowing thread.

SW is an interesting site if you want to explore the bizarreness of human behaviour but if you expect to find a friendly, safe and tolerant place to explore your own identity, sexuality or inner word through interaction of like-minded understanding group of people, you'll be most probably disappointed. Unlike Experience Project, Similar Worlds doesn't provide any privacy. Everything you post is showed to all users by default, therefore don't expect to find your safe, secret haven. There's no such thing as a safe, secret haven on SW.

This site is the cookbook for catfish dishes

When Experience Project closed its doors to it users. We lost our second home to retreat to when the going got tough. We scrambled about like eggs without the frying pan to keep us in check. This site saved us for a little while till it TOS rules started to go all over the place like a headless chicken scurrying about in the courtyard. Members easily banned by a cold and heartless algorithm that even those that are desperately seeking help when on the verge of ending their lives that suddenly they get banned because countless users are pressing the 'report button' to help them. That's messed up right? Then there are the trolls and I don't mean your average trolls. The kind of trolls that encourage self-harming that go unpunished. You got the perverts that just love spanking, pooping and by the gods their freaking diaper fetish. (By the way if you're a female. I recommend making a male profile because new female users get harassed by them). Admins are friendly but they do not seem to communicate very well with their users or listen to them. The updates are very rarely and the last one just enraged a lot of users that they rolled back within the hour (Only time they listened) Then the users themselves. This site is not a dating site but a breeding site for catfishes to lay eggs. There is no app for the site yet and deleting account is virtually impossible as you have to navigate around a lot of confusing stuff. I would say avoid this site if you're seeking advice but I would just welcome you to join this cesspool for a laugh.

Never had a problem with this website. Always enjoy reading responses to my question if I don't agree with someone's opinion everyone has a right to their own viewpoint.
At least they block comments that are vulgar, racist comments that would inspire everyone to fight.
Similar Worlds is fine
Wish them many years of success

Not good

27-6-2017: I joined SW hoping to find the same people I met on EP, but I got disappointed.
SW is full of perverts, hypocrites and trolls.
There are a lot of fake accounts as well, using pictures of female porn stars (have they ever heard of Google reverse image search?) to attract men.
10-8-2017: I left SW.
Maybe I will be back in the future, who knows?
I am waiting for an improvement, but I think it's a waste of time.
EP was better, funnier and SW will be never as good as EP.

Weirdoville

People forming groups on the site and bully others together..lots of them use the anonymity of the site to troll others. You really have to dig deep to find someone without serious “issues” .

A site is only as good as its members.

As of this writing the site is just over a year old so there's still a few issues to address, a primary one being the true torch carrier for the defunct Experience Project. However time will take care of that. It's a site for sharing and possibly connecting (or reconnecting) with some wonderful people who offer kind words and support. Along with those wonderful people are members who share thoughts, feelings, and humor. Of course there are trolls and sexual perverts but if you don't feed them they tend to shrink and go away. A block/mute option is available for those who persist.
The mods and admins are very good at offering help as they are overworked trying to get the site up to speed.
Overall I like and recommend this site.
