i am a Silva products fan. my family and i are keen night runners, cyclists and orienteers and have a range of silva products. recently i bought a Silva Crosstrail 5 ultra. i was upgrading from a Crosstrail 2. your literature suggested that the crosstrail 5 ultra was 500 lumens. the crosstrail 2 is 350 lumen. i was disappointed with the penetration of the crosstrail 5, particularly since i though it would be better than my Crosstrail 2. furthermore, when i tried to use the battery pack (AA rechargable) i was not able to close the outer casing/housing when the 4 batteries are fitted. can you advise what i should do now. i want to continue to buy Silva products for me and my kids as i'm still a fan....

I'm very pleased with Silva Sweden's handling of my order. Through my own mistake, I ended up ordering on Silva's Swedish website rather than on my national Norwegian website. The product price and delivery cost were therefore higher, but Silva's sales department refunded the difference. Thanks for this highly professional customer service!

I contacted Silva to see if I could get a replacement cable for my Trail Speed head torch that I'd lost as the item wasn't listed on the website. The Customer Service team were quick to e mail back and arranged for me to purchase a spare direct from Silva. Although the transaction process was a bit protracted as it didn't go through the website, they were always quick to respond to my e mails and the item shipped ok. Great products and great customer service to back them up.

I was dissapointed that it was not made clear to me that the product did not come with a rechargeable battery. Then ordering a separate rechargeable battery i then had to buy another battery pack. The advertising needs to be better ecplained and the additional battery and pack cost more than the light in the end.

I have recently purchased the Ranger S compass, the design is very well thought out and it is excellent to use. Holding the Ranger at a comfortable arms length with the mirror at 45 degrees and sighting through the small hole at the bottom of the mirror gives an accurate reading. Using the reflection in the mirror makes it easier to correct the cell position compared to the needle. I took it out with my Explorer 4 compass on a days walking so that I could compare them when I noticed that the Explorer 4's calibration had changed by 180 degrees. I subsequently realised that I must have put it in the wrong pocket, with my iPhone. I contacted Silva and within an hour I was contacted and told me to return the Explorer 4 and that Silva would recalibrate it and return it to me. What a brilliant customer service which is coupled with a fantastic range of products.

On the trail Ultra it is only possible to use the rechargeable battery pack or the AAA pack. If you use the rechargeable pack the red back light can not be used.
This is not made clear on the websit specs before purchasing the light and a direct email had to be sent to confirm this.
The rechargeable battery lead exits the battery at the bottom of the battery horizontally and enters the Head band socket vertically in the middle meaning the battery lead is twisted which is a shame.

Very pleased with my new head torch - perfect for running with my dogs on the local trail-ways evening in the pouring rain! Thanks a lot

I thought I had been scammed.I received no confirmation email for a few days..Then the email had exclamation marks in odd places,looked suspicious.The trace link was broken.Customer services were on lunch!.No follow up emails,but my bag eventually arrived.Thankyou.Maybe its Covid.No Worries.

I would buy from Silva again. I bought a waist bag for running and the zipper got stuck in the fabric and would not open. I contacted Silva and in no time I had a new one. Its a brilliant product and I use it on every run. The customer service it just as brilliant and effective. I have a Silva headlamp from before and that too is a durable and good product that I use for running and cycling in the woods when its dark.

I do like these waterproof bags. I am able to keep things dry in my rucksack or when shopping. Bright colours too.
