Sicily by Car Reviews 

Whilst we had a longer than expected wait to get our vehicle, but the staff were very polite and kept us updated as it was being returned. When the car arrived they cleaned it first. If there were any issues they provided support immediately as we had a problem with the navigation system not pairing to the iphone. When it couldn’t be fixed they swapped the car overnight and even provided a cable and made sure it was working before we left.

The return was very smooth and quick. No one pushed for insurance but we requested it and got a good price.

We got a different car but it was even better. The processing was fast and people at Sicilly by Car were nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

After properly posting an adverse review on this bunch of shysters they have eventually responded to say they immediately responded and fixed the problem. They are not even consistent with their lies. I was trying to contact them for over 36 hours with no response with a car leaking petrol. They then insisted I drove a 2 hour round trip for them to look at it.
They DID exchange the car (which still had a pair of expensive ear pods in - never returned) and charged me an exorbitant amount for not filling up a car that was leaking petrol with more petrol.
They have since consistently lied about the whole affair, refused any compensation for ruining my holiday (a driving trip of a week with no useable vehicle for 2 days) not even refunded my excessive petrol charge. They told me they had my ear pods then lied to say they had never seen them. I would never use them again and feel completely cheated.

It always has been a pleasure working with you guys. The service is just out of this world. Very flexible and very correct prices are amazing and the Car quality is impeccable. Always nice and cleaned always on time always fresh smelling fresh and the range of Car is wide enough

Easy to pick up, easy to return

In Palermo airport I had to wait 1 hr at the desk before it was my turn to arrange my pre-booked car. At the pick-up I had to wait 30 min because my car was not available. In addition I didn't receive the correct car, it was a level lower than the car I booked... so I paid too much. The car I received was dirty inside and full of scratches at the outside, when I mentioned this they told me to take pictures. The guy at the desk was very unfriendly, the people that gave me the car didn't have time, they just gave me the keys, no explanations or support at all. I had sometimes serious difficulties to use the rear gear of the car. It was a very bad experience and I was afraid to return the car to get some comments about the scratches. Next time NO Sicily by car... for sure

Our experience with Sicily by Car in Pisa was 100% perfect! When we called to let them know our flight was delayed, we were met with great friendliness and patience. We were immediately reassured that our car would be held for us until our arrival. The service at the pickup desk was also exceptionally friendly and patient, and everything was handled in perfect English. Picking up the car (a new vehicle with barely 7,000 kilometers on the clock) and returning it went smoothly. After all our previous experiences with other rental companies over the years, this first experience with Sicily by Car was a breath of fresh air. Based on our experience, we can highly recommend them and will certainly use their services again in the future.

Picked up a car on friday. Car was abused by the previous driver. Has a leaking right tire. Warning lights pop-up like a christmas tree without any clear reason. Customer service is unreachable, road side assistance picks up the phone hut does nothing.

No issues whatsoever, courteous and polite staff. Efficient pick up and drop off service.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff at Sicily by Car, Alghero Airport. From the beginning, the employee had a very bad attitude and an unpleasant tone.

We had a confirmed and prepaid reservation through DoYouItaly, but instead of simply giving us the car, he kept looking for excuses and asking for additional things such as cards and documents. He never clearly told us what the actual problem was and simply wasted our time.

Very unprofessional company with terrible customer service. I would never book with them again and definitely do not recommend them!
