Shuttout.com 

Website will not open anymore, appears to be shutdown and anyone with prize money is out of luck.

Shuttout used to be great. Now recently it seems to have gone belly up. Other photo websites displays my photos whereas I have not been able to access the site properly. Photos will not open. Seems it might be on their servers. I noticed their chat was last used August last year. If Shuttout is not operating, then it must Shuttdown to prevent frustrations

Unfortunately, seems like Shuttout became the biggest scam ever. During it´s first months/years, paid always on time and precisely. Due to Covid-19 back in 2020, they payout schedule begun to change a bit and since the end of 2021, whenever you ask for a payout, IF you get a reply is that "by now, the website is under heavy issues of funding/sponsors and as soon as possible a solution will be found to pay all the winners/requests".

But there´s much more than a month now that not even these vague replies are coming. The website owner/CEO always seemed to be very honest and transparent, but according to many users he is just not replying anymore/ignoring the photographers. It´s really hard to believe that he owes much more than $2000 for some and barely has $10 to $50 to pay all his debts with the users on small rates during the weeks/months.

I tried contact recently for more than weeks and months and had no more replies. Even contacts I have on his own country (Poland) tried to reach him and again, only vague replies.

So, unfortunately, seems like we won´t get paid anymore and furthermore, we´ll need to find a way to sue this website asap.

EDIT/UPDATE: now, after almost a year, the website keep crashing or going offilne from times to times. Not even a dollar was paid (and I still having more than $2500 to receive, while the owner says he´s unable to pay even on low rates of $10 to $100 monthly, but has a regular job as Senior Product Manager at Netguru and lives perfectly well, as long he stills distant from those he refused to pay/lied about being thru hard times about income (after YEARS).

They are not paying money anymore. I have some money in my account, but it is more than a month I am trying to reach them due to payout and they does not react anymore. A year or two ago the payout was completed in a few days. But now it is not working.

Honestly speaking,
Shuttout is the best platform for photographers.
I have been using it for like somewhat 2 years. It is just awesome.
Especially even for non-professional photographers. Me personally being a student have photography as a hobby.
And i can invest my time on shuttout, and also definitely learning something new.
So in that way it builds creativity among its users cause all the contest are like thought-provoking for users as everyone wants to create something different.
Well, if you are a photographer, you definitely should try it.

Totally legit site. I won the contest. Cool way to earn something more than internet respects with a such expensive hobby.

You don't have to be a professional photographer to have a chance to win a photo contest. Why? Because other photographers (verified users) vote for your photos instead of some unknown jury. Customer service is super friendly. Definitely worth trying.
