Absolutely terrible!

I visited today with my grandchildren.
Firstly we were not given our Activity Book we’d paid for in advance.

On arrival I was exceptional frustrated to be almost bullied into having our photo taken.
I had to insist with vigour, that I did not want it done. This occurred throughout.

My rather shy grandchildren were left at the back on a lot of occasions with adults in front of them.

The instructions given at the start were not up held by staff throughout the experience, regarding bringing children to the front.

The actions in some of the scenes were wholly inappropriate, and I refer in particular to the bar “person” in on of the shows, gagging up into a cup, then pretending to swallow it. Absolutely disgusting!

The experience is supposed to reflect the joy and fun of Shrek. I found it dark and sinister in places and it terrified my 8 year old in places, and he loves Shrek.

I found the whole thing cheap and tacky, and a complete waste of money as it did not represent a well loved story / movie for us.

It was full of strong lighting and very little warning of this. There was no reference to the possible motion sickness on the “ bus ride “ or any signage regarding safety / lighting clearly visible on site. All very well being online, but no good if you just turn up on the day. You also have to hunt for this particular information online!

It is advertised as being 90 minutes, yet we were out well within an hour. Almost rushed through a series of staged, and mostly dull, scenes.

I feel totally let down, and would not recommend this attraction to anyone.

Complaint sent to Shrek Adventure, but that was a waste of time too!

Choose something else, this will really spoil your love of Shrek!

Waste of time and money.

I certainly did not expect to write this about Shrek Adventure.
We were so disappointed in this. We did not know what to expect, but it certainly was not expecting what we saw.
Just people dressed up and acting. Travelled for 5 hours on a coach to see this plus the cost to get in. It was what you would expect a free tour to be and certainly not paid.

False Advertising & Clueless Rude Staff

The disappointing experience was due to two issues:

1. False advertising. We planned our visit specifically to see either Puss in Boots or Kitty Softpaws. Shrekradventure website advertised them to be available 1st-16th April (I have a screenshot). We adjusted our plans for the trip to London based on this information. We visited on 15th April and there was neither of those characters.

2. Appalling customer service. When I was purchasing the tickets, I chose the option to include one photo print. The ticket was actually called "Picture Perfect Ticket". The female customer service assistant at the tills was downright rude and said that all the phrase "Your ticket entitles you to a printed photo" actually meant I was allowed to have my picture taken. I found this to be a despicable attempt to double charge me. The male customer service assistant said he would give me a "free" print as a "courtesy". I was given one print. The very print I had prepaid for. The incompetence and rudeness of staff was draining.

My kids have been Shrek obsessed for a while and just by chance, we stumbled across Shrek Adventure when out the other weekend.

A great value and fun experience for little ones. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something to add to their london itinerary.

This was a spur of the moment thing with myself and my daughter in law visiting London for the day - no kids- eek! We had the best time ever from start to finish. The actors were really good, interacting with the public and making the experience very personal. My daughter in law and myself had to be rescued from the maze by the baker which made it more unique. I will be definitely taking my 9 grandchildrren back there

Terrible customer experience

Terrible customer experience
Despite contacting Shrek adventure and leaving a review on Trustpilot still no response from them. Yes they are happy to take your money but will not take any responsibility when THEY cannot deliver the experience. AVOID like the plague!!
