Short Form King Reviews 

Our experience with Short Form King has been deeply disappointing and, frankly, alarming.

We paid a substantial amount of money based on what was represented to us during the sales process. What followed was an experience that fell dramatically short of those representations. Deliverables were incomplete, the quality was not what we expected, and our repeated attempts to have serious concerns addressed were met with an astonishing lack of cooperation.

The most troubling part has been what happened once things went wrong. Rather than working constructively toward a fair resolution, we encountered resistance at virtually every turn.

We gave the company multiple opportunities to make this right. They have not.

At this point, we have exhausted our attempts to resolve the situation amicably and will be pursuing the matter through appropriate legal channels.

For anyone considering spending a significant amount of money with Short Form King: do your due diligence before handing over your money.

Joe and his team by far have been extremely unprofessional in handling the situation and overly uncooperative and willing to rectify the matter.

I would not recommend working with Short Form King.

I paid $14,000 USD to work with this company, and my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. A major reason I decided to move forward was the $100k guarantee that was presented to me. In my view, they did not honour that guarantee, and when I asked for a refund, I was not refunded what I paid.

The actual delivery fell far short of what I expected. The process of getting scripts sent over dragged on far longer than it should have. The script writer was changed midway through, and after that, she did not respond properly or send scripts on time. Edited videos were also not delivered on time.

A major issue was that I felt like I was expected to manage the process myself. I was expected to manage the editor and revise his edits, instead of having experts make the edits based on what would actually improve views and performance. I also had to keep chasing to make sure I received scripts on time. There did not seem to be anyone properly monitoring content performance or proactively adjusting the strategy based on the results.

When videos were eventually sent, the results on my social profile did not meaningfully improve. Views remained essentially the same as before, and no revenue came in as a result of the work we did together. One of their own script writers even said the edited videos they provided were not up to standard and that they would have expected the videos to get more views. Despite that feedback, no meaningful changes were made.

Communication was another major issue. The script writer and account manager were supposed to be involved in the process, but they often did not respond at all. That made the whole experience feel disorganized and unsupported, especially considering the amount of money I had paid. When I sent an email in to the official email address provided, in order to initiate a refund due to the guarantee requirements not being met, I got a response from someone who said they are no longer with her company but “good luck”.

Overall, I felt like I paid a significant amount for a service that did not deliver the promised outcome, did not generate revenue, did not improve my content performance, and did not provide the level of communication or accountability I expected. I also feel the guarantee was not honoured when it came time to actually stand behind it. This entire company is run in a very disorganized and chaotic way, beware.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Short Form King to anyone considering working with them.

Update: Based on the company’s response, I have attempted to resolve this through the appropriate channels. I have now been told that a refund cannot be processed because there is an ongoing payment dispute.

For context, I paid $8,442 USD by bank transfer and the remaining amount by credit card. I disputed the credit card payment because I did not receive a refund within 3 days of asking for one. Instead, I was given an email address to reach out to, which I did.

The company then informed me that data for refund requests is compiled within weeks of receiving the request. In my view, waiting weeks would have risked my ability to dispute the charge through my credit card timing out, which could have left me with no practical way to recover the funds due to the guarantee terms not being met.

The bank transfer portion was not disputed, and that amount still has not been refunded. As far as I can tell, there is nothing preventing the company from refunding the bank transfer amount separately.
