Ordered a bottle of Auchroisk 14 Year Old on the 5th and it was with me by the 9th, would’ve been the 8th but no-one was home to receive it. All-in-all cannot fault the service, will use again.

It never arrived. They ignored my emails. Paypal refunded my money. Total waste of time. Scam?

I was looking for Crabbies Yardhead and found it at Shop4whisky
Good price.
Delivery was before stated date and only took 4 days.
The product was very well packaged and protected.
Spot on.Well done.
If only other companies were as good as this.

Ordered a bottle of remy martin on 25th April it's now 7th may I did read reviews before hand but I thought I'd give them a chance I've emailed and phoned but no reply will have to claim back though PayPal

A little put off by the negative reviews but contacted the company who got straight back to me. Decided to order as protected by paypal. Order confirmed straight away and delivered 2 days later - well pleased with the service and the comms - highly reccomended.

I ordered 4 bottles of The Antiquary 12-y-o a fortnight before Christmas. Payment taken, delivery promised for 8 days before Christmas Day. Obviously, it didn’t arrive. I waited another day, and another, and then contacted Leon the following day by e-mail. A further 24 hours later, Leon responded apologising that Shop4Whisky was out of stock in respect of The Antiquary 12-y-o. He advised that he could keep “looking” or refund me. As there was now only 3 days to Christmas Day and three of the bottles ordered were intended as gifts, I requested a refund and ordered The Antiquary from the trusty Amazon (arrived the next day). Leon stated that he had “processed a refund” on December 21st. My credit card statement arrived this morning - January 26th - and, you guessed it, no refund. Fraudsters, plain and simple. There was never any whisky, and there clearly isn’t going to be a refund. I’m now going to investigate the possibility of getting this website taken down.

Having ordered from this firm I was little taken aback when I looked at the reviews on Trustpilot. But my order was correctly completed in a timely manner and the site offered good prices on some whisky. The only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is that communication is poor. After the initial order confirmation, there was nothing till I received another similar missive saying the order was "complete". But there was no indication of when it was dispatched, or which courier was being used for delivery. Their only contact apart from a phone number appears to be through Facebook messenger. My message to them via that medium requesting full dispatch information, produced no result. A couple of days after the "order complete" email I received a Parcelforce notification that they had a parcel for me from Sutherland Inn Ltd (not Shop4Whisky.com), which would be delivered in 48 hours. If you can find a whisky you want at a good price I would still use this firm, but don't expect a lot of communication about the processing of your order. Personally I would also use PayPal again, for ease of raising an issue if things do go wrong.

So some of the reviews below (which I only read after placing an order) were abit worrying - esp as the bottles I was after were for a scarce Whisky at the mo. However no issues at all - order placed Friday, Free Delivery and delivered today Wednesday so very quick and well packaged also. Many thanks and I will use again based on this which hopefully will be as good in future. :)

I have now bought multiple times from Shop4whisky and I find the service excellent. Easy to use web site, great selection, Very good prices and very reliable.
Every time I have ordered the items have been well packaged and delivered quickly.
One of the best things for me is that Shop4whisky have free delivery included.
I purchased a bottle of Fiji 2003 Duncan Taylor Rum for £49.49. Which I think was very good value for a cask strength, 10 Year Old single cask rum (Others I have seen cost twice as much).

Sold me a product that they didn’t have and then just cancelled the order. First I knew about it was the payment platform advised of the refund. No communication or apology from the seller at all. Very poor and rather rude.

I received the wrong item, had to return it and had to go to the post office and pay the £9.99 postage out of my own pocket. Then I had to pester them to get my refund which I now have to wait up to 7 days for. They have agreed to refund my postage cost but it has been an all round bad experience.

Ordering process very automated. Email confirms your order has been received and is being processed after which no further contact is made until the items arrive. Would be nice to be told courier details and exact dispatch dates etc. Otherwise service was excellent and prices very keen.

Total rubbish ! After placing my order 2 weeks ago I had a bad feeling about this site as no confirmation came through… emailed twice with a big delay someone emailed back asking for my order number but of course I had no order number because I had no email from them. Lucky I payed via PayPal and put in a dispute. 100% dodgy site might be a dormant company or just trying to scam.

I placed an order on Wednesday 10th January and it's just arrived on Friday 12th! Great service.

Order never turned up and when I asked for a refund I got fobbed off saying they’d lost it in post! It never turned up!

Overall good service, only lost 1 star because of the lack of tracking for the order.

I bought some Jura Whisky off amazon, which was sold by the retailer shop4whisky. The whisky was a christmas present for my dad who lives in Spain (I'm from the UK). I ordered the present around the 30th November as I knew couriers would be busy nearer Christmas (especially with covid) and due to the long distance the parcel would travel. I was given an expected delivery date of 12-21 December. I had not been notified of a delivery by the 21st so contacted shop4whisky through amazon on the 22nd. Shop4whisky responded via email the same day saying they would contact royal mail to see where the parcel was. On the 23rd my dad went to the pick up location for the whisky to find it had been delivered.

I was never notified (this could be a error by shop4whisky or amazon) so it could have arrived on time, or if not was not more than 2 days late which was fine by me. The packing and presentation was described as being good by my dad. I did not select for a gift option.

My advice to people look to buy from shop4whisky looking at the reviews here would be to buy their stuff off amazon who can contact them on your behalf and to order well in advance.

I wish I’d checked out the Shop4Whisky reviews first off.
My order is 3 days late now and I just have a sort of bad feeling about this.
Blaming the Post Office in the meantime and now being asked to contact them again if nothing happens in a couple of days...really? Not good is it?

It has arrived, albeit 3 and a bit days late, but better late than never. Thank you Shop4Whisky. I assume that Christmas post was the problem.
Recommend though you make more of an effort to keep your customers informed of such likely problems.
