Thought of suing the company.
There must be something shitty in their product as it caused cans of coke to explode in the same storage area...
I've never had cans of coke explode when stored in the same area.
Which is a cool dry place, with no sunshine...

BEWARE: Invisible "Pinhole" Leaks Ruined My Sofa

I purchased a 24-pack of these 150ml cans last July from Amazon. Despite being well within the expiry date (July 2026), multiple cans developed invisible pinhole leaks.

The liquid didn't just spill; it seeped out so slowly it was undetectable. The cans remained completely intact and unopened but were light as air and empty inside. This hidden leakage caused severe, deep-seated mould growth on my sofa where the pack was stored. I’ve since seen a review from 2024 reporting the exact same issue; I really wish I had read that before buying.

Since it was over 30 days, Amazon directed me to Britvic (the manufacturer). Britvic refused to cover the damage to my furniture because I had already disposed of the mouldy packaging and empty cans. They only offered a small supermarket voucher, which does not begin to cover the cost of the damage.

Warning: Check the weight of your cans immediately. If any feel light, keep the cans and all packaging as evidence. Do not throw them away until you have a resolution, or the brand will take zero responsibility.

Exploding/Leaking Cans.

I have a box of London Essence Pink Grapefruit Crafted Soda in my drinks cupboard and three of the cans have leaked/exploded and I now have a mouldy box and a wet/damp cupboard. One can exploding I would not have worried but three means that they must use a very poor quality tin.

QUALITY CONTROL DOWN THE DRAIN!

They have definitely changed the quality of the aluminium cans since the scam that is Deposit Return Scam started in Ireland, the metal can is a LOT thinner than previous cans and now they just seem to open themselves and X2 leaked inside my expensive drinks cabinet!

I am also finding a saccharine and weird after taste of the original tonic now, so I think I will be trying another brand going forward, I used to love this brand but like ALL companies now its ALL about Penny Pinching and being as cheap as possible!!

Flavour range great - but can quality poor!

Actually liked the range of flavours and use these sodas in vodkas - but these cans leak! Thought having 2 burst and make a mess of a storage shelf an unfortunate coincidence - but several months later with some bulk buy for Christmas , 2 more have leaked through a canvas storage tray and marked said storage shelf even more. One can seemed to have developed an obvious hole near the ring pull but the other can leakage - like the previous two - is impossible to trace!

Leaked and spoiled

The first can I drank tasted nice but bought three cans and the other two emptied themselves on an expensive wooden chest and ruined the surface - not opened - just somehow leaked - never buying these again - never heard of a can leaking before and can't see from where but the drink evaporated without being opened.

Rubbish customer service

Complained about cans of Pink Grapefruit soda that had leaked. Given money off vouchers that didn’t work in any of the supermarkets and they weren’t prepared to honour. Upon complaining about this, I was I informed that I would be given replacement mixers sent directly to my home address. I am still waiting. Extremely poor customer service

London Essence Ginger Ale tastes like soda water

Just had two drinks ruined in the 5 star Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. I ordered a vodka and ginger ale. The first one tasted musty and was like a cheap soda stream soda water with the smallest dash of cordial. The replacement wasn't musty but certainly tasted nothing like any other ginger ale on the market. May as well asked for soda water. Not good enough when paying €8 for a vodka and €4.05 for a mixer.

Tastes nothing like they are supposed to

The peach and jasmine tasted of bubblegum, not peach. The blood orange tasted of pot pourri. Not looking forward to the box of pink grapefruit I also bought.

Its not even as if they've added so many botanicals that the fruit flavour disappears, they literally taste nothing like the claimed flavour.

No. I want a refund for the cost, and the bottle of gin I've wasted.
