I preordered a game in December 2021…

I preordered a game in December 2021 for £50 it was released in February this year and never received it. I have messaged them on instagram,Facebook and email and had no response in that whole time! Customer service is shocking you basically just get ignored if you have an issue. I will be take further action. I’ve read all the reviews on here and a lot say the same thing taking money for no item. I most definitely will be going to trading standards. I’ve noticed they don’t even reply to their reviews on here. Says it all really.

Took my money

Took my money, never sent me the game. Cannot contact them and they do not answer emails. No other way to contact them. DO NOT USE THEM!!

AVOID LIKE THE EBOLA VIRUS

Pre-ordered a game from them 2 years ago, and had to chase it down after the release date. Customer service is none existent - and I have tried to contact them through every platform. Got an email saying game has been dispatched 2 months ago and still nothing. Cant get a refund, cant get an answer, and I am down 35 quid. I honestly dont know how they are still in business.

SCAM COMPANY

If i could give them 0 stars I would. Like other people - preordered the Hogwarts game back in December 2021, and nothing arrived. Can't claim any money back due to the length of time. SCAM. Be warned - stay away!

STEER WELL CLEAR OF GAMEBYTE SHOP... SCAM!

Don't know why my mum decided to go with Gamebyte rather than the usual but she pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox one for my birthday in December 2021. Obviously weren't expecting the game delays but kept the pre-order but come release date and they disappeared into thin air!
No sign of delivery as the game was released on Xbox, gave them a bit of time to get sorted but still nothing. Both my mum and I have tried to contact them on the website, email, FB and twitter 10+ times and not heard anything back. As order placed so long ago my mum can't get anywhere with her bank.

Keep seeing sites saying Gamebyte is still legit but avoid like the plague especially for pre-order games!

THEY WILL ROB YOU. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Having preordered the Hogwarts legacy game 2 YEARS AGO from this company and the release on PS4 being months ago. I can safely say I have not received the game and I can also safely say I never will because they refuse to answer any emails (which is apparently the only way to get in touch with them) that I send them.
Absolutely deplorable behaviour. A MASSIVE SCAM. Learn from my and others mistakes and leg it as far away from these guys as possible. What a sad little life Jane...

Please report to trading standards

Please make sure you report this company to trading standards if you have had a bad experience. They are literally stealing money from people by taking pre-release orders that they never supply. By the time the release date comes out, you can no longer raise a dispute through your bank because too much time has passed. They will be making literally thousands and thousands of pounds scamming people in this way. The only way to stop it is to report them to trading standards. Enough complaints will result in an investigation and the company being forcibly closed. It won’t get you your money back. But it is one form to fill out through the Citizens Advice Bureaux. It will stop them scamming any more people and filling their pockets with your money through their dishonest trading practices. Please help to stop them and do not shop here ever again.

I have been waiting a month for a game which I had pre-ordered. I have contacted them several times and received responses such as they will get back to me and one that said they would sort it out in a day or so but they never did! I'm going to be trying to apply for a refund now.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. Preordered a game. Never arrived contacted a few times with no response. They send an automated email explaining there is a high demand of emails and that they need 4 days to reply. I left it at least a week/ ten days between emails for 2 months with nothing but automated emails. Contacted over twitter and instagram as well but ignored there as well

If I could give it less I would. Pre ordered and paid for a game in 2021 it got delayed until end of April 23, it has since been released but they have failed to send my copy out they ignore emails,twitter messages, messenger and Instagram. I would steer clear of them at all costs.

Don't bother.

Bought 2 games back in November 2021. One was a pre-order. The release date kept being delayed - not their fault. And at that point I did receive an email correspondence from them.

Fast forward to April 2023 and I've still never received the game which was released this year. Can I get any response - NOPE! Not via email, nor their help form online and not via Facebook either. Really disappointed as service before was great. Now would avoid like the plague.

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague. I used Gamebyte a lot in the past, but once you have an issue with them it's game over.

I ordered Advanced Wars in Feb 2022 but it was delayed by Nintendo due to the war in Ukraine. I ordered another game at the same time which was released and then delivered. Gamebyte put both games under the same Royal Mail tracking number, so it looks like they'd been delivered.

I spoke to them about this and after a lot of back and forth, I had to point out to them that it couldn't have been delivered as the game hasn't even been delivered to them yet! Eventually they conceded I was right.

After this, I went to cancel my order and since then they've gone quiet. Ignored 10+ messages from me - emails, Facebook, Twitter, the lot.

They don't care about you. They just want your cash.

First game I pre-ordered arrived with no issue. I then wanted to cancel a pre-order for another game and have been trying for the last 4 months with no help. They ignore all emails and social media messages. Absolute joke..

They don't respond to order cancel requests, don't buy from them

Ive been trying to cancel my preorder for around 3 weeks now but im getting no response. I've used every channel I can to contact them including social media but they are reading my messages and ignoring me.
They already have my money so I'm not convinced I will even receive my order and if I do, I'm sure I will have to pay to return it...

Received no refund and ignoring my emails

I received a headset from GameByte that unfortunantely started to break after only a few months of use. Unfortunately a replacement wasn't available, so I posted the set back to GameByte as instructed for a refund. I never received a refund, and the 5 emails I have sent to GameByte about this have been entirely ignored. Appauling customer service and I am out of pocket.

SCAM COMPANY

Ordered some pre-order items, for release 31st December

None of these have been delivered, or even shipped.

No communications whatsoever. They do not reply to emails - I have emailed numerous times since January and not a single reply.

They also have no phone number listed - how convenient!

This is a scamming company now as can be seen from all the other reviews.

They ignore customers :(

I’ve been trying to return a sealed copy of forespoken for weeks now , I’ve sent a ticket every two to one weeks ; I’m stuck with an unwanted game ; adding to the stress I deal with due to mental health difficulties - gaming heals but they just ignore me it feels :( feel so ignored and hopeless :(
