Gave up with this lock
Gave up with this lock, it started opening by itself so we didn't know if the door was locked when we were away the app told us it was locked when it wasn’t.
It ended up a security risk
Got in touch with with the company and they told us some fixes that didnt work.
Really disappointed in this product and support.

We are on our 7 or 8th replacement…
We are on our 7 or 8th replacement lock, ultion who sell this in the UKs service is somewhere between helpful when they feel like it and non existent. Currently I have been waiting 3 days for a response leaving the property insecure.
Each lock has failed for different but similar reasons, faults include:
Complete failure
Motor failure
Constant calibration errors
Battery consumption
Ultion secure barrels seizure
Bluetooth failure
Slow response times
Other all the app is poorly designed, slow and unreliable. Like most people auto unlock never works, unlock assist is temperamental at best.
I am looking for an alternative and looking at klevio, Yale's is not an option due to no key pad.
I note neither Ultion nor Dana comment on these poor reviews

7+ Weeks and no reply at all
Raised support ticket over 7 weeks ago. No response at all. Forwarded emails to sales and CEO. No response then found they blocked my emails. No phone number listed. No way to contact.
Two devices both stopped working after 2-3 weeks of use.

I am really disappointed with the Danalock. It is unreliable at locking and unlocking via the app, sometimes taking 10 attempts before it eventually works. It is also incredibly annoying that you have to recalibrate the lock every time there is a software update which seems to happen every month. What is worse is that there is no obvious improvement or changes after the update. I really regret getting the lock and should have stayed with a key which to be honest is quicker. I make sure I always take my key with me and I have no confidence in operating the lock with the app.
Danalock Auto unlock useless
Danalock hardware OK, basic software works as well, but reason why I bought lock was Auto Unlock feature. This does not work almost newer. Tested with my friends Sony and other Samsung phones with latest OS versions and always same problem: After App installation Auto unlock works one or twice, but then newer. Uninstall and install same problem. All possibilities tested: All power savings off, all app rights enabled. Note that when entering auto unlock zone message "Attempting to unlock door..." appears but nothing happens inside Bluetooth range. So open App and press Green button. Works always. Also Danalock support cant help even it seems a bug in current and latest software.

Works with default battery set for two years. After battery change it stops working properly. Draining battery, bluetooth out of the range.
Unreliable product and poor customer service
I have been using my Danalock v3 for around 15 months now - initially not too many issues although some of the features only worked occasionally. However, in the last 6 months we have gone through 3 sets of batteries and the reliability is very poor. This wouldn't be so bad if Ultion/Danalock could sort out their customer service but it takes over 2 weeks to get any sort of response. I'm now stuck with a lock which only works with a physical key. If only they redirected some of their marketing budget to after-sales support and product development!

I have been using Danalock and Danapad for 6 months now - purchased in the UK from Ultion.
Likes:
- Very convenient
- Easy to install, batteries seem to last
- Pin codes work without fail
- Proximity auto-unlock worked as described, we have disabled it though. I am not comfortable with the concept.
Dislikes:
- Danapad keys are too hard. Presumably because of weatherproofing. I'd prefer softer keys with a better tactile response.
- It takes 2-3 seconds before the lock reacts to unlock request via the app - way too long.
- The app is counterintuitive and could do with a re-design and better workflow.
- When locking, still need to lift the door handle every time in order to engage hook bolts. This is not Danalock's fault of course.
Wishlist:
- Why not combine Danapad with a key fob reader? Appears simple enough.

I can not use my lock anymore and asking for help they advice me to buy a newer version. Very poor service orientated company. They reply to emails after weeks, with no solution. I feel that they try to make me to quit asking for help. Unprofessional company. -1 points...

Bought this lock several months ago and although had problems I contacted there support.
I found them very helpful and after many problems, they agreed to resend new lock. So far very impressed. New technology and sometimes teething problems, but they are willing to get you up and running etc..
The lock itself is ok, the rest is rubbish
The lock itself is ok, it's rather slow to respond to the phone lock/unlock command. I also, bought the danabridge which is totally useless.
The lock won't connect to any smart home hubs, it fails constantly with a Z-Wave error. It's is supposed to be in the connection mode for 30 seconds, but fails after three or four.

A bit of a patchy start but excellent now. We had a new composite door fitted and purchased the Ultion Smart lock with the installation. The initial lock appeared faulty as it would not detect our phones (IOS & Android) And so I contacted Ultion for technical support. After a number of calls and troubleshooting steps they agreed to either send an engineer or a new lock. I happily took receipt of the entire smart product and fitted it (only takes 2 screws) and it works a dream. Needless to say, New products can be faulty / intermittent but Ultion were more than supportive. Credit to Tech Support team Luke x2 for their help. Note at time of writing there is a minor bug in the IOS app that causes the app to sign out every so often which is annoying but easily overcome by closing and reopening (no need to sign in again) but Ultion have said this is in development for the latest update. Hopefully it comes through soon.
Poor tech support
My lock was working but I wanted to invite my children. I followed their technical guidance and reset the lock. I am now left with a non functioning smart lock and their only offered solution is to return the lock at my own expense and an additional €50 to have it reset for a new code. I have requested a return for refund and am still awaiting a response. Their process is not customer centric if all does not go to plan. I recommend avoiding this smart lock option.
Lock randomly unlocks
Lock randomly unlocks and locks the door, this is not something that you expect when you pay a lot of money for a lock, laying in bed in the middle of the night hearing the lock suddenly unlocking.
Locked Out!
This smart lock has potential but sadly I could not recommend after a few glitches with the app (as others have said, the auto unlock does not work on an iPhone) and then a complete failure of the unit to respond to either phone app or Danalock keypad leaving the family locked out of the house and calling around for a locksmith - not an easy process on a Sunday evening during a lockdown!
Tech support was quick to acknowledge a faulty unit but cannot resolve a fix without my sending back the initial lock before they will ship a new one. Several weeks on they still have to resolve how to manage a refund and I am also still £100+ out of pocket for the locksmith given the department who could agree that refund is apparently on furlough (although sales department still seem to be taking money). Trusting your home security to a new system is a big decision and I would expect Ultion/Danalock to take the security and safety of its customers more seriously and we have decided not to continue until the both the product reliability and support infrastructure is much better established.
Absolute waste of money
Absolute waste of money. Auto unlock never works, can’t trust the lock at all. A very expensive lock when you need to just use the door key to lock and unlock it.
They are not to be trusted
They promise the world, but cannot deliver anything.
I bought all their products, but none of them can connect together, so all of them are completely useless!
I have been in contact with their support team countless times, and they keep promising a new software update within a week or month, but each time I have send them a reminder, the delay it over and over.
What a company, I have never expended anything like them.
Do yourself a favour and do not buy anything from them.... I can't recommend them at all!

A terrible experience.
I have spent more money on batteries for this piece of junk over the past two months than what I paid for the actual lock. To make matters worse the only support option is via email! REALLY!!! in this day and age and for such a crucial piece of security hardware!
I was promised weeks and weeks ago that a fix will be released imminently yet here I am many weeks down the line still awaiting the new firmware to fix the problem. To make things worse support are now completely ignoring my emails!!!!
I also have a danabridge, what a useless bit of rubbish that is. It seems this company releases equipment to market without testing it first. The stuff I have experience of certainly isn't fit for purpose. They expect paying customers to be their testers it seems. Meanwhile I am left with hideous junk that I'm trusting to protect everything I own.
I wish I had purchased one of the many alternatives, I doubt any of them can be as bad as danalock.
Yes and no
First of all, it's an easy install, took me 10 minutes.
But it doesn't work as promised, I bought it for the auto-unlock feature, coming home with groceries, dogs and so on a lock that opened the door automatically would be heaven, but 70% of the time I need to find the phone, open it and then close the app (error code, something about the phone receiving the wrong status?) and open app again and wait 10-20 seconds before it opens the door.
And sometimes the auto-lock function doesn't lock the door, so now to be sure I also have to lock the door with the app when leaving my home.
If they can work out these bugs this product will be excellent and then I would recommend it, but as of now, I can't.
