Great experience, no complaints!

I was reluctant to order from Shoe Carnival because all of the negative reviews. So that’s why I am writing a review for them now, because everything I had ordered was brand new, not worn or used. I have no complaints at all. I’m so happy with my purchase! Thank you Shoe Carnival!

I am so disappointed definitely should have read the reviews. I ordered a pair of running shoes that were supposedly new. I received a dirty clearly worn pair that had sweat stains on the insides. Just gross and completely unacceptable. I could have bought the same used pair on eBay for 10 dollars not full price!! This company is committing consumer fraud! Never order online from them.

The manager screamed obsenities at me…

The manager screamed obscenities at me repeatedly. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes in Nashville, TN at the Shoe Carnival. One of the pairs I purchased was on sale for 59.99 but they rang up $69.99. I didn't realize this until I looked at my receipt in the parking lot. I went back into the store and told the cashier that one of the pairs of shoes I just bought rang up incorrectly. He agreed with me and told me he owed me $6. I told him he owed me $10. He insisted he only owed me $6. Then, I made a HUGE mistake. I asked the cashier (since we couldn't agree on how much he owed me) if I could speak with the manager. Jada (the manager) came to the register and I began to tell her that the shoes I just bought rang up wrong and she told me to "be quiet and let him speak first" - She wanted to hear what the cashier had to say instead of what I had to say. I'm just the customer after all. Listening to me would be ridiculous. Jada knew this, so she shut me up right away. I stood there while the cashier explained to Jada that he only owed me $6.00 and that I was telling him that he owed me $10. When the cashier was done speaking, I told Jada that the difference was $10.00 and I would like my money back. Jada told me "You ain't gonna come in here being rude." I said, "I'm not being rude, I simply want the money that belongs to me. Jada then told the cashier that I was right and that he owed me $10 (that's the only thing she did right). I got my money back and then I told Jada that she had "absolutely no business being a manager and speaking to customers the way she spoke to me." That's when she began screaming obscenities at me. Jada used the F-word repeatedly at me as I was walking out of the door. I stopped on my way out the door and asked, "Why are you screaming obscenities at me?" She continued using the F-word and she told my friend who was with me "not to hold me back" - I don't know what that means? It sounded like she wanted to fight me? I didn't want to fight her, I wanted to leave the store after getting my money back and not have obscenities yelled at me. The last words out of her mouth that I heard Jada scream were "get the $#*! out of my store."

Fake vans

I bought a pair of Vans for my kid and I’m pretty sure they’re knock offs. The shoe doesn’t look right. I compared the shoe on line and it doesn’t even have the same details.

Shoe Carnival is a Total Clown Show

I ordered a pair of shoes and, of course, they took my money right away. Almost three weeks later, I get an email stating my order will arrive the next day. My order never arrived and fedex stopped tracking the package almost two weeks ago. I asked for a coupon or something to make it right, but that request was refused. I asked for a refund. After they took my money almost immediately after I placed my order, they tell me that I have to wait several days for my refund. Their customer service staff, both on the phone and on chat, are the least caring reps I've ever dealt with. All they did was deflect to fedex (who has stopped tracking the package). I don't like being jerked around, and these people are the best at it that I've ever experienced. Just order your shoes from Dick's Sporting goods. They have better availability and curbside pickup.

We waited in line for 23 minutes

We waited in line for 23 minutes to purchase 3 pairs of shoes. There was one cashier and she was dealing with a single client for the full 23 minutes. She looked at us several times and never called for a second cashier. There were at least 3 other employees working, one of which went outside and got something from her car who looked right at us. Needless to say we left and they lost $174 in sales. We won't be back.

Horrible! Sells used shoes :(((

I wanted to buy a pair of Birkenstocks as a Christmas gift. I would have went to the Birkenstock website but the one's i wanted were sold out everywhere but shoe carnival. I have been inside of a physical shoe carnival store before so i thought it was legit. however, when I receive the package, the shoe box was literally ripped in half and torn up. I didn't think much of it and figured it was from the delivery process. But after seeing the actual shoes. They are obviously worn. The shoe is suede and half the suede is ruined/ has bald spots. The rim around the sole is also scuffed and the shoe has lost its shape. please never order from this website.

DEPLORABLE Customer Service

Like many others, I am very disappointed with Shoe Carnival; I should have read these reviews before ordering. Instead of the men's Pumas I ordered several weeks ago, I received a pair of boys' Nike Kyries. Since then, the communications from their customer service department have been deplorable. Days pass without replies to my emails, then I receive a generic reply that does not answer my questions. They said they'd send return labels (said they'd sent several) that never came through; then I called and they told me I could mail the shoes and I'd be reimbursed. Now I learn that the reimbursement comes in the form of a Shoe Carnival gift card. No thanks! I am still waiting on some kind of confirmation that the returned shoes (mailed 2-day USPS on 11/24) have been received and that my original order has been mailed ... though I'm not optimistic.

I would avoid this place

This was my first and last time shopping here. The shoes I purchased were uncomfortable as I had worn them around the house a few times to see if they would be comfortable enough to work in, they were not. I went to return them and was accused of returning dirty shoes and they weren't even dirty. My house isn't dirty because we don't allow shoes and I never wore them outside. It seems the cashier was just trying to weasel out of accepting the return. I was so shocked and humiliated. I couldn't say anything. I just wanted my refund. I got the refund because the manager came over. I had even planned to look around for something else, but after this interaction I changed my mind. This is the number one reason why I stick to mainly shopping on Amazon because of the terrible customer service that has become too common in places like this.

They send used shoes

I ordered a pair of sketcher D'lites for my best friend. Upon receiving the shoes the paper inside the box was ripped, the shoes were laced incorrectly and the shoes were dirty, they sent used shoes. I contacted customer service and was sent a return label in minutes. Giving shoe carnival a chance to make it right I ordered another pair, paid for expedited shipment. My BF received the shoes within 2 days. This time the shoes were even worse than the first time, it was obvious the shoes had been worn, the soles of the shoes were very dirty on the bottom. Again I contacted customer service and was emailed a return label. I will not ever order from shoe carnival again. What business charges full price and ships used shoes. I'm very disappointed and embarrassed that my best friend was sent used shoes, I mean what business does that? My best friend had to make two trips to FedEx to return the shoes, this is very poor business practice and the company should be ashamed to allow such actions to their customers. I do not recommend ordering shoes from this company, if I wanted used shoes I could have went to a thrift store, so unacceptable. My advice is do not order from this store, I gave them two chances to make it right and got disappointed twice. If they can't send new shoes don't accept the order and charging a customer full price for used shoes is misleading and fraud, close your stores and stop misleading customers.

Purchased a pair of bearpaw boots for…

Purchased a pair of bearpaw boots for my daughter on 11/16 for pickup in the Greendale,WI store. When I arrived at the store on 11/17/21 the sales associate couldn’t find my order at all in the system. The assistant manager Nicole came over to assist him and automatically said oh that order was cancelled (without looking at my online receipt). I asked when and what time because I never received an email or call stating that. She said at 10:00 am (it was 11:37 am) I asked for proof that it was cancelled and asked refund process she didn’t know any of that information and said she couldn’t provide it because their system doesn’t work like that. So I asked for the corporate number because what she is telling me isn’t sounding too accurate. The number she gave me was customer service instead. I spoke with two different customer service reps that told me Nicole actually placed my order on back order and placed the order on reserve for an employee. The representative told me that the store had the shoes and should have been fulfilled to come to me, but Nicole chose to place my order or back order. I go back in the store the tell Nicole what I was told she tells me that’s not the truth, but customer service isn’t lying either. I said computers don’t lie so if you placed them on back order then that’s what happened that is why I never received an cancellation email because you never cancelled the order. Nicole then proceeds to tell me that they can hold item(s) for employees for 2 weeks or until pay day. I said oh so even if customers pay for them you guys can just hold on inventory she said yes. Unfortunately the district manager reaches out to me to only tell me she’s sorry I had this issue and to come back the store manager would assist me. Now, why would I come back if this is your policy I may not ever get the items I want if your employees can take the online purchase because they want them. There is no accountability for what she has done even though the customer service reps were extremely apologetic and said it’s not their policy it appears the staff at the greendale location doesn’t feel the same. So for the people who are having their orders cancelled or back ordered this may be one of the reasons why so just be aware I would just order bearpaw directly from them and skip shoe carnival due to its policies regarding fulfilling orders.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered 1 pair of shoes. They duplicated my order and charged me. I’ve made several calls to get a return label and I never receive it. I checked junk and spam….nothing. I called yesterday and they agreed to refund my money. I received $6 of $63. I called today and now they say they will not refund until they get shoes. They still have not sent me a return label. I will never order anything from them again!!!!

Did a Google search and also came up on Facebook (go figure) for these particular booties. They were advertised $20 less than the website so I inquired with the company. That got me nowhere and they refused to honor the price that was advertised despite having a picture of the ad.
