ShipMate makes it effortless to ship purchases from Japan anywhere in the world, all from your smartphone. Built for travelers and residents in Japan who don't want to lug home everything they buy, ShipMate lets you drop off items at any of our 30,000+ locations nationwide — including post offices, hotels, and retail stores — scan a QR code, and let us handle the rest. No paperwork, no language barrier, no guesswork. We take care of customs documentation, check destination rules for restricted items, and provide real-time tracking from the moment your package leaves Japan until it arrives at your door, in over 120 countries worldwide. Every shipment is covered against damage, and our transparent two-stage pricing means you always know what you're paying for before it's final. We're now extending that same convenience in the other direction with our new shipping proxy service, built for customers abroad who want to buy from Japanese retailers and marketplaces but can't purchase or ship internationally on their own. With ShipMate as their local proxy, shoppers anywhere in the world can access Japanese products with the same transparency and tracking they get shipping outbound. Behind our technology is a team based in Japan who understands the realities of shipping in and out of the country, and is here to help whenever questions come up. Whether you're shipping from Japan or shopping into it, ShipMate combines reliable tech with real local support.

ShipMate was a huge help and I can…

ShipMate was a huge help and I can highly recommend their service.

I had a very complicated situation with a parcel that had been returned from Switzerland to Japan and was being held at a hotel in Tokyo. I was already back in Switzerland and had no one in Japan who could pick it up for me.

ShipMate managed to arrange everything: they organized the pickup directly from the hotel, transported the parcel to their warehouse, and helped ship it back to Switzerland. Communication was clear, fast, and very helpful throughout the whole process.

Thanks to ShipMate, my parcel is finally on its way back to Switzerland. I am very grateful for their support and would definitely use their service again.
