Well Worth A Visit

I have purchased a few of their backpacks. Every one was/is of high quality, better than most comparable bags. Delivery was on time, all correspondence was answered in a reasonable amount of time and while the price isn’t cheap, the product more than meets expectations.

Very bad company

Very bad company. I had order 2 backpacks with prepayment, nothing had been delivered to me. They just blocked me in instagram and email. Fraud company.
Company registration is other very complicated scheme.
Don't trust them, they are bunch of bullies.

A very confusing brand

Shimoda Designs is trading via shimodadesigns.com, however their website does not contain any information about the company. At all. No company reg No., no address, nothing. It's a black hole you're buying from.

The real order is dispatched by another company called The MAC Group. Their support address is located in domain macgroupeu.com, while their store link (from your purchase receipt) points to another domain saramonicuk.com.

The MAC Group website does not contain any company reg no. too. But the UK Companies House search reveals that such company actually exists. And has 3 directors. None of them can be found in the "Team" page of Shimodadesigns.

That's about the red flags.

Now about the purchasing experience. After reading a few online advertorials praising the Shimoda Explore 40 photo backpack I've ordered one.

To my great surprise, when the photo backpack arrived, I wasn't able to find any camera or the lens compartments in it. No storage solutions that can be traditionally found in any conventional photo backpack. Absolutely none. What I've purchased was just a shell of a backpack.

After studying the Shimodadesigns website (the most confusing store ever) I was able to find that to make the backpack minimally useful I'll need to spend another hundred pounds and buy an additional so-called "core unit" (just a basic inset).

Most likely it's me being stupid. But I'm still feeling that Shimodadesigns deserves one star and some exposure for its obscurity, lack of clarity and communicational mess.
