The food is delivered every Sunday. All the meals have been delicious. Minus some being a little salty. But when ordering just order the highly rated meals and you are good to go.
I didn’t love the plastic packaging but I’m happy to see that the founder is slowly transitioning to stainless steel in my area.

Great food, great service
We tried Shef this past week because we were super busy and didn't have time to grocery shop. I was so glad we did, because all our food was incredible. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and we loved each dish more than the last. (The salmon and chicken dishes were so tender, juicy, and flavorful)!
The delivery was right on time, and everything was packed with care. The serving sizes were also quite generous, so we have a lot more food than I'd planned for, so now we have leftovers for lunch as well!

Bait and switch?
There is something really strange about this site. When I first logged in and filled out the questions, I was quoted a price of about $55. Then it told me to add the meals that I wanted. I was allowed six. I did so. The price immediately jumped up to almost $100. I had to email them several times asking why this occurred. I also asked what discounts they offer.
The answer is NO discounts for anyone. Ouch.
The reason for the price increase, they don't seem to know. All they did was instruct me to look at some breakdown. It took a while, it is hidden on the website, but I found it. The breakdown just lists additional costs. No reason. No justification.
It just feels like a bait and switch site.

You can see the reply that Shef left here. They don't want to discuss this where everyone can see it. They'd rather do that behind closed doors. I have sent them the entire email chain that lead up to this review. I'll let you know if there is anything further.

Finally found our fav
We are not a family to use a service like Shef but I (mom) recently fractured my foot so I had limited mobility. We tried a few food options and Shef is our favorite yes, it is a little more pricey but the food quality, being green and outstanding customer service makes it worth it. Thank you, Shef!

I put in an order and the total was $99 (and my receipt confirmed that amount) yet I was charged $186!!! What the heck? How can this be a legitimate company? Do not trust.

Great for Recovery!
I signed up for a week of meals. (8 single-serving meals). I am recovering from surgery and was unable to cook for myself. Having delicious, ready-made meals on-hand was so beneficial to my recovery! I am not able to finance a Shef service more frequently, but really recommend it for folks needing some assistance getting good nutrition in.
