Signed up fro a free trial for a photography course , after seeing some reviews online I decided not to go through with it and wanted to cancel the service. I asked them to terminate the subscription before the trial expired and never attended any of the online class. I was then billed for 2 months of service even though I had asked for the course to be cancelled before the trial period ended. I eventually had to block them from completing the transaction on my credit card. Just do yourself a favor and go with any of the other reputable, trustworthy tutorial sites online.

Really helpful content. I think this is absolutely valuable course for any one.

The lecture materials have been updated from my last lessons!

Paid for the life-time package, a few years ago, supposed to include all material and certificate at no extra fee.
Recently, all material are locked, asking for extra money. I assumed it was by mistake and asked them to fix the problem.
They informed me that they changed their policy and charging extra, although when they sent me the offer and received my funds, promising free access.
The case is reported to EU consumer rights and complaints, for investigation..

Shaw Academy replied that they made all material accessible again, although I still see it as locked! Will wait a few more hours and if still not fixed, will be reported again..

Shaw Academy: A Costly Mistake, a Scam in Disguise!

Let me start by saying that enrolling in Shaw Academy was the biggest mistake I have ever made. What seemed like a promising online learning platform was nothing but a deceitful scam designed to swindle hard-earned money from unsuspecting individuals like myself.

First and foremost, the pricing tactics employed by Shaw Academy are downright deceptive. They lure you in with the promise of a free trial, only to charge your credit card a whopping $125 without any warning. It's like they have a black belt in sneaky billing practices. This clearly indicates that their primary goal is to squeeze as much money as possible from their customers rather than genuinely providing quality education.

But let's talk about the quality, or should I say the lack thereof. The courses offered by Shaw Academy are a joke. The instructors, if you can even call them that, are nothing more than glorified YouTube tutorial enthusiasts. Their knowledge is shallow, and their teaching methods are subpar at best. I could have learned more by watching random videos on the internet for free. It's clear that Shaw Academy is more interested in quantity than quality, as they churn out cookie-cutter courses with recycled content.

Oh, and let's not forget about their customer service, or should I say the lack of it. Trying to get a refund or even just a response from Shaw Academy is like trying to squeeze water from a stone. They conveniently ignore your emails, conveniently "lose" your refund request, and conveniently brush off any complaints you have. It's almost as if they have a dedicated team whose sole purpose is to ignore disgruntled customers. Bravo, Shaw Academy, for your outstanding commitment to terrible customer support!

To top it all off, Shaw Academy bombards you with relentless marketing emails, trying to sell you additional courses and memberships that are utterly useless. It's like they never want to let you escape their clutches. Once they have your money, they won't stop until they have every last penny, leaving you feeling like a mere cash cow.

In conclusion, Shaw Academy is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Their deceptive pricing, lacklustre courses, abysmal customer service, and never-ending marketing spam make them one of the worst online education platforms out there. Save yourself the headache, the disappointment, and most importantly, the money. Stay as far away from Shaw Academy as humanly possible, and please beware of the employee's name with ''Rian'' and ''Aileen'' if they really exist.

You all are responding with different people contacting me instead of a single person that can familiarize themselves with these constant string of emails, the account information since initiated, and the ability to recognize your glitches or your scams. I expect my refund of $74.50! You only refunded $0.50, how dare you!!??? The nerve!?? You people have tons of negative reviews and I have added mine a year ago on this site... ran into the message I left for the CEO on his Linked In account and thought I should restate this! However, it doesn't stop there. It's the principle about this whole experience. I've been lied to, ignored, mistreated, and taken advantage of!

When I canceled... on the exact ON TIME DATE prior to the deadline, there was no correspondence from your office and afterward they were reluctant in adhering to any of my requests for cancelation confirmations. This is ridiculous! Additionally, this has happened to sooo many people from your company and they are awaiting refunds also... Read up on a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against your company. Not only will I take this route but I will also pursue personally. All I asked for was honest justice; MY MONEY!... Refund me my total amount of $74.50!!! You had a nerve to remove record of all the monies that have been unauthorized from my account to your company!! I don't see the record anymore but only see a refund of fifty CENTS!! Not only did you refund only $0.50 back to my account but you just recently, just now, within the same day, went back into my account and took the $.50 it back!!!! What the hell kind of shenanigan's are you people playing!?? You should be shut down... your track record proves it! Stay away from these people!

Fraud and Scam:
I signed up for the Free Trial of 4 weeks. To sign up for this, you must provide payment details which I did through PayPal.

During this time, you must schedule in classes, twice a week. These are done either through the app or the website. In these classes, you watch a pre-recording of a person go through content lasting between 30mins - 45mins. If you are late for a class, you receive an email and possibly a call from a robot saying you need to join the class. The website/app itself constantly advertises about the diploma or toolkit which can be bought at a high price which is on special discount for a “certain time period” (quote marks as the countdown always restarts when you enter back into the page) from an even higher price. They will also continue emailing you about getting a toolkit or a diploma certificate.

Having done 3 classes in the space of 2 weeks (as a reminder, it was supposed to be a 4 week free trial), I received a call from a “student guidance manager”. He was no more than a salesman, triggering a cascade of payments to my account. In the call, I explained that I was there for the 4 week free trial and just to get a better understanding of the course. I also gave feedback about the course, thinking that it was a legitimate educational company. At the end of the call (5 mins), he explained that he would unlock the premium account for me. He was speaking fast with an accent so I told him to send me an email about it all so I could understand what he was saying then. Right after the call, I saw a notification pop up from PayPal on my phone of 199.96GDP!!

I searched up how to contact Shaw Academy. They have no contact number. There is one that was attached to their PayPal account but of course, it doesn’t work! I emailed them on an address from the website (ages to find) several times to explain my case and request for a refund. Each time, there was only an automatic email saying they have the email and will get back to you in 48 hours. Afterwards, no reply! I tried emailing them from another email account about different questions, how to join, what courses they offer, and they reply straight away!

I then begun trying to contact PayPal themselves to dispute the payment. This cannot be done! When you sign up for the free trial and they take your PayPal details, any point after that, they can charge you without your permission. PayPal does not get involved with this.

Looking into the company in more detail, it is filled with fraud. Requesting people to give good reviews, erasing bad reviews or comments. Read about it on allreviews, do a google search on them, see the articles about them. Please do not sign up for their Free Trial as you will only end up as I did… 199.95GDP out of your bank account.

From their other reviews I can see many others were also conned. If you're reading this, I do pray you have not yet clicked on anything, thinking this is a legitimate learning space...

If you're reading this I highly advise you to steer clear of this company. Google their reviews and look on other sites. Terrible news this company - SCAM is the right word. I highly recommend you contact your bank to get your money back if they've got your card details as you'll get nowhere contacting them.

I was scammed by this company and it was never made right. It was over a year ago they charged me many numerous timelks. I filed thru Pay pal and could not get anyone to answer me. I would not touch this company. They charged me the same amount 5 times and I got nothing from them

Please Avoid Avoid Avoid!! I still cannot believe this company is still on the internet scamming people on daily basis. They took £80 out of my account without my permission. They trick you while signing up and take your account information. Shame on you!!

Signed up late in 2021 to do one course for R399 but was billed continuously monthly to the tune of over R2500......! What???? I enquired about how I could redeem my course as I experienced a major loss a few months later & could not focus on anything at the time.Their reply was NO it was expired and I will need to keep paying in order to re-activate my account.Only wanted one course of R399.PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

The content is really perfect and trainer is explaining it very well. Easy to understand

I feel the site is very user friendly & simple to navigate. The tools are basic, but also, efficient, making everything clear.

I don't even remember signing up for this company. Just got an emailed invoice today of them withdrawing money from my account. $69.99, And it is impossible to UNSUBSCRIBE!! I Want ALL Of My Money Back!!! There isn't even a tangible phone #!!! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!!?! AND WHY ARE YOU WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM ME, AND I'M NOT EVEN ENROLLED IN ANY COURSES!!?! Being ABLE to speak with a Reasonable Human Being Would Be GREAT!! So I can UNSUBSCRIBE!! SMH!!! I HAD TO GIVE A RATING OF "1" ON THIS, JUST TO LEAVE A MESSAGE!!! AND I AM NOT EVEN ENROLLED!! SMH!!!
