Avoid

Their customer service is practically non existent. Tried calling on the number and no answer, sent emails with no reply.
I would avoid this company, looking at other reviews lots of other people have had the same experience.

Edit - in regards to your reply, I’ve emailed multiple times about the same thing and no reply. It does seem you have someone looking at the reviews on trustpilot more than responding to emails

I can't remember how long I've been…

I can't remember how long I've been receiving the shave kit razors and handles, it's probably over ten years I guess but I would never use anything else. It use to be my beard when I was clean shaven but the reversal is now it's shaping the beard and shaving my head. These are the sharpest and safest razors that anyone could ever use. Keep up the good work.

Light user

Now, I'm only a light user as I have a beard so only shaving my neck area.
I use the 3 blades as any more seems a waste just for my neck. I always find the sharp and give a nice smooth shave and last me a good amount of time before I have to change them.
I also really enjoy the shave cream, find it very good.
Being able to buy products without a subscription is also very good

Amazing product

Amazing product, very good quality,
I'm using it more than a year now I can say it is better than any other brand I used earlier.
Customer service are very good, responsive and friendly.
Price compared to the quality is good.

BE CAREFUL

I have just got up to an urgent message from my bank, Shavekit has tried to take £30 60 from my credit card early this morning. They blocked the payment and are ringing me in the next 2 hours.

I keep getting emails asking if I have left a bad review. I have ignored them as this is so stressful. I have only ever contacted them to stop everything, after they took a payment earlier this year.
You only have to look at other reviews, that people have had the same problems with Shavekit. We can’t all be wrong.

We think we've found your account, although you haven't responded to any of our attempts to contact you so can't be certain. You appear to have logged into your members area on the 31st of March, you selected your next billing date to be the 9th of July. We've sent you a screenshot of the log for you to check. You received and opened another reminder email about your delivery, on July 7th. You were then charged (which didnt go through) on the 9th, as per your request that you made on 31st March.

Nothing seems to have gone wrong here, you werent charged successfully other than the single payment you made earlier this year, you didn't pay anything. You made a single payment earlier this year yourself, confirming this in your online banking app and verifying that you wanted to make this payment (we've sent you a screenshot of the confirmation to check). Your account and billing date was setup per your requested settings. If you can get in touch so we can try and resolve it further for you, that would be much appreciated! hello@shavekit.com

Free trial turned into unwanted membership.

I signed up for a free trial razor only to find I was automatically signed up to a membership subscription which has charged my account for what I presume is razor blades. The means to cancel the membership is not very clear and takes some working out I was about to contact my bank to block any further debits from my account when I eventually worked out how to end the membership.

Now I’m impressed

I ordered the free sample ages ago and only recently got around to trying it, taking it on holiday. I've used the free shave cream and think that's great. The cork handle is great too. But, the blades are a let down. I had a fee days stubble and imaged the new blades would easy deal with this. But not. The 5 blade cartridge tended to drag rather than cut cleanly, as though they were old blades. I struggled on and eventually got a cleanish shave but it require a lot of effort. A couple of days later I tried again with the same result. Not at all impressed. One other tiny complaint is that the comfort strip above the blades is so big it means you cannot shave below the bridge of your nose, no matter how much you try.

Update.
I received some new blades and this has fixed the issues I had. The first shave was just great. The blades cut exactly as they should have done, giving a very good shave. Also the comfort strip is much smaller meaning that I could shave under my nose perfectly well. I’m impressed 🙂

What a shave!

I am probably a bit mean about spending more than I need to to achieve the result I want. I’m also not inclined to waste money on ideas that don’t work but happy to buy things that work.

I thought Wilkinson double blade razors were w organised the money but I didn’t want to spend more. Then I tried a daft opening offer for ShaveKit five blade razors and was totally amazed. Only problem is that my wife loves them also, so I’ve had to buy two kits! Astonishingly good shave!

Why does this company lure people in to…

Why does this company lure people in to paying £2.95 for a sample and then send them a box of razors that they did not order... lads do business correctly no need to be scammers, very disappointed in you. I have read the reviews about your company, absolutely shocking!!

Avoid at all costs

I wish I had read these reviews before paying for the trial. There's no easy way to cancel the next automatically processed order. They advise you to call a phone number, but no one answers. Instead, you get a voicemail instructing you to write to them.

This is a total scam! Stay away! Contact your bank immediately to block this shave kit and consider changing your credit card if necessary. They didn't even wait for me to try the product before automatically processing the next order. I might end up hating the product.

I've decided to discard the trial parcel as soon as it arrives. I refuse to use products from unethical companies that trap customers with such tactics.

You then replied two days later on June 15th saying:

We replied the same day confirming you were already automatically refunded and offered to send you a pack for free:

"Hi Adrian,

It was already done for you, I'll send you a confirmation email too.

If you'd like your trial pack for free, without paying postage, we're also happy to send it to you (with a free magazine).

Just let me know and I'll have it sent (you dont need to reactivate or anything)."
