Great item but don’t make a mistake! I realised after about an hour that I’d ordered the wrong item, phoned Customer Service who told me that I couldn’t cancel, despite the fact that the order hadn’t... See more

Order cancelled with no reason and signed up for a subscription I didn't want
I ordered a vacuum cleaner online from Shark. Then Shark unilaterally cancelled the order with no reason given. I have asked for clarification but Shark have not responded. Meanwhile in placing the order I was offered a 'free gift' of three bottle of wine which made the purchase seem particularly good value. Too late I realised I had been signed up for a subscription service with another company which required a phone call to cancel.
Shark by name.....
Appalling customer service.
Nearly three years ago I bought a Shark cordless vacuum. In August I wanted to purchase a new floorhead but it was out of stock. In November I contacted them again as it still was not in stock. At first they said they would replace the whole machine as they could not say when it would be in stock. After going backwards and forwards with their demands for proof of purchase they then decided they wanted the original invoice, I only had the delivery advicewhich had all the relevant info on that they would need but apparently not good enough. They eventually told me they machine had been discontinued. I resent being made to feel I was trying to con them in some way when all I wanted to do was purchase a replacement part, being offered a replacement machine then wriggling out of it. So the machine which is not three years old yet is destined for the recycling centre.
Unhappy with customer service and the policy service
I bought from SHRAK THE CLEANING CARPET and os faulty I did refund after 10 days when I received the machine , I haven’t get the money back until now . My finance was pays regular on the day . I haven't received my money back despite calling 10 times since June. The last time I called at the beginning of November, they told me they would resolve the issue with the bank PayPal’s that provided the loan, but they are just covering for each other.
Naw I have to get the layer to resolve the problem
One star for answering the phone...
One star for answering the phone...
I tried to.place an order twice. The man didn't seem to be able to understand anything especially as I knew the model etc. In the end he suggested I go back to the website which I had already explained wasnt working.
Shocking customer service especially as ive always recommended Shark before... maybe Dyson is better 🤔
I have a Cordless Hand Vac WV362UKT…
I have a Cordless Hand Vac WV362UKT which would still works. The dust-cup is damaged and needs to be replaced.
You can replace every part of the cordless vac except the dust-cup which no longer exists. The hand vac part of the vacuum cleaner does not have a fitted dust-cup. Have been waiting nearly a whole year for the dust-cup.
I am forced by SHARK to bin my now useless vacuum cleaner and 2 batteries general waste/ recycling.
Do not waste your money buying vacuum cleaners from them as you will most likely not be able to replace damaged dust-cups.
Terrible
Terrible. Low suction power, constantly breaking. The reason I gave it one star is because the customer service team always replaces the broken parts. We had so many repairs I ended up calling it Triggers Broom.
Junk
My wife purchased a Shark Detect Pro cleaner a year or so ago. It is one of the most useless devices I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to use. Hopeless at picking up dirt etc, constantly blocking up with fluff, automatic emptying system fails repeatedly to remove contents. It has an intensely irritating habit of simply pushing dirt around. Trust me …do not buy this expensive rubbish.
It's narrow but nimble and very effective.
We ordered an upright (lift-away, pets) directly from the website one Sunday afternoon and it arrived Monday early evening via Evri. Right from the start, there box felt strong and sturdy. There packaging was all recyclable, no plastic whatsoever. Nice touch but why was the box in a box? I guess it's added protection but did seem a bit much.
The vacuum assembled quickly and easily and everything feels well thought out; how it disassembles for use in each state, how and where the tools are stored etc.
Finally, when it was put to the test, it seemed strong and very capable, even bringing a bit of life back to the seven year old carpets. We have a daughter two dogs , two dogs and a horses rabbit. So the carpets are well used and the vacuum still did a really good job. It's also light weight and well balanced to make it easy for carrying up two flights of stairs. It's only now Friday so, not even a week in, but I hope to be thinking the same next year.
Short Lived Non Repairable Products
Such a shame, I loved my shark vacuum cleaner, an AZ950 - expensive to buy, but you think worth it -- it will work brilliantly and last -- but no, it did the first part, but not the second, the floor nozel plastic attachments have broken, meaning you cannot use the vacuum at all - and surprisingly, this is a common failing -- and worse still, the part if it was available would cost £99 -- but worse than that -- the part has been discontinued (although Shark don't advertise that on the site which is again highly misleading) - so now after having paid a lot of money for what we thought was a quality item -- it has to go on the scrap heap -- such a shame, such a poor customer experience and so bad for the planet, who these days makes a machine, with lots of plastic and stuff - that is not repairable ? Well apparantly, Shark does.
Got what i wanted
Got what i wanted, delivered overnight. Great service so far. Will update review based on product performance, but so far exceeding my experience with Dyson!
Deserves zero
Deserves zero stars. Bought new hoover today to open it out the packaging to find all the plastic scrapped off on one side. Shocking quality control as it must have been sent from the factory like that as zero damage to the box.
Phoned shark and they don't want to know just referred me back to Argos. Yes it's from there factory and the warantee is with them. Tried to tell me it's with Argos. Been a customer for years but after today they not getting a penny from me and had lots of products.
Gone down the pan and don't want to help in any way just pass on the buck.

Loyal customer poor service
I had purchased the expert pet Cleaner from shark. The box was open inside and out the internal box looks like it had been opened at least two times on the phone to customer service and the Hoover looks like it had been taken out of the box and used across the floor as it was very dirty underneath and the wheels were scuffed. Was offered a 10% discount which I refused as I feel that that’s a poor offer for a dirty Machine. The customer service representative told me to take it back to the post office with a label which I refused as I told them it’s my petrol. I’m using can they collect? He told me he was going to charge me £15. I finally got them to collect eventually and refused a replacement as I feel the customer service wasn’t great
I have many other shark/ninja products( have been told it’s an addiction ) including the slushie;shark Hoover; ninja stack; Ninja knives;Ninja saucepans; Ninja blender; Ninja thirsti; shark air purifier/ heater and shark handheld Hoover. I’ve never had any issues before with customer service or any of my products. So was very disappointed this time about the carpet cleaner Cleaner issue.
Avoid the HZ500UKT
I have this vacuum cleaner for a little while and to be honest rarely use it for these reasons
1) it is top heavy and uncomfortable to use after a short while.
2) the brush head constantly lift you have to put it back down with you feet throughout usage.
3) it's suck ability is next to useless I would be better of using a straw.
4) the motor gets increasingly hot and this blows onto your hand which is a sweaty experience in use.
5) the green light indicating the drive is running constantly goes to red meaning you have to switch it off then on again.
6) ridiculously difficult to store.
The model is a HZ500UKT avoid this model it's a pile of rubbish I'm going to get a VAX as soon as possible.
The two issues
The two issues is being told the replacement head i needed should be back in stock in 2 weeks but after 4 weeks I was told that there was another model head that fits and works with my vacuum that I could have purchased 4 weeks earlier!!!
The second issue is the soft roller pictured on the web page and a major part of the head is not included.
I’m the owner of a Shark Duoclean…
I’m the owner of a Shark Duoclean Powerfin cleaner.
I have become very dissatisfied with it continually getting blocked up in the flexible tube. It requires stripped and cleaned almost after every use.
Is there something that can be done to eliminate this problem.
James McRae.
Wish I had not bought this
Wish I had not bought this - irritating and annoying to use - cant get the handle to go from straight to angled - faulty maybe? Nightmare waste of money.
Avoid. Worst customer service ever!!
Had issues with the floor attachment on my rather expensive £550 IP3251UKT. Phoned customer service and was told they'd replace the whole vacuum cleaner with a brand new one.
Waited a week for replacement, and they'd sent the wrong item; a £170 cheap corded vacuum cleaner. Immediately took photos f everything before phoning them. I sent all the photos over via email whilst on the phone - box, untampered postage label where even the creases of the label lined up wholly with the creases in the postage box, serial numbers, carton numbers, etc blah blah. They said I'd have to send that back and wait 3-5 days once they've received it to receive my item.
Fair enough in a sense maybe, it'd protect them against fraud. But I sent them absolutely everything, they'd know whether that carton, serial number, etc was presently used in fulfilment - and the shipping boxes and delivery photos would evidently be different sizes/dimensions. I evidenced everything for them. I run my own business and we have cameras covering our fulfilment area - they 1000% would too.
I decided to comment on Facebook (they delete/hide people's comments when they have concerns) and they came back with the spiel "we'll definitely find a solution" before inboxing me suggesting they wouldn't.
I decided to cite Section 19 Consumer Rights Act and how their policy doesn't override it, and their response was that "this is our procedure for all our customers, and we cannot bend it" - implying their procedure isn't in line with regulations. But I'm supposed to bend over taking this to a shop ten minutes down the road, when I suggested a return on delivery could be an option (something I've seen them do for others).
Wholly disappointed at this service. First time I've ever had an issue with a Shark or Ninja product, but I won't be buying another of their products. When all is said and done, I'll have been without a vacuum cleaner for over two weeks - second week entirely owing to their own fulfilment error which they'd well know.
Fabulous customer service...which is…
Fabulous customer service...which is the reason I buy shark. It is not what goes wrong that matters...it is how it is resolved. My vacuum motor failed. Quick phone liaison and the new parts were delivered within 24 hours. Many thanks Shark. Excellent job
Absolute waste of money
Absolute waste of money. It doesn't do it's basic function of hoovering. It's a disgusting process to empty the dust and even after emptying and removing hair wrapped around, it still doesn't hoover anything up bigger than dust. The only thing going for it is it is lighter than my Henry....but what does that matter if it doesn't actually hoover.
