Probably the worst service I've ever encountered
The worst kind of service: all flashy promises, zero substance.
The ShareThis scripts completely failed to perform one of the simplest tasks imaginable — passing an image and page info to social media platforms using standard, widely accepted meta tags.
The sad & poor content they do manage to share won’t bring a single visitor to your site — we're not living in the 1990s anymore (though apparently, the ShareThis team didn’t get the memo).
Reaching out to support cost me weeks — yes, WEEKS — of waiting and tons of beautiful words, promising to “look into it” that never led to anything but words. Along the way, I read such mind-boggling nonsense in their messages that I seriously started wondering if one of us was mentally unwell.
In the end, I had to do their job myself. It took me (guess how long?)… 30 SECS to write a script that properly extracted the required data from my page — no issues at all! Let that sink in: 30 seconds for me vs. weeks of nothing from them. And no, they anyway never fixed their issue.
Bottom line: an utterly useless service that will only waste your time and bring exactly ZERO new visitors to your site.
