We recently had an issue with the communication during a repair on our car. We had specifically asked not to have the MOT carried out and not to proceed with any repairs until we had discussed the diagnosis and costs, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

After raising our concerns by email, the owner contacted us personally. He immediately acknowledged that the service we received fell below the standards they expect to provide, apologised without making excuses, and refunded the full cost of the MOT and repair.

Whilst the initial experience was disappointing, I believe a business should also be judged on how it responds when things go wrong. The owner listened, took responsibility, and resolved the issue promptly and professionally.

We've previously had excellent service from the Severalls branch, where communication was outstanding, and the way this complaint was handled has restored our confidence in the business.

Mistakes can happen, but it's how a business responds that really matters. We would have no hesitation in recommending this garage and will happily use them again in the future.

Shaikly Motor Company - Severalls have a fantastic helpful team supported by Paul at the desk and Adam and staff in the garages. Their customer service is by far the best I have had from garages and I have had many!

They are so helpful and accommodating. They also take the time to explain things to you so you have the full picture. They also manage expectations well.

Their prices for any work I have had done has not been beaten and as a result I look no further for car repairs.

These guys are it. I have used them for many years and the have gotten better and better!

I had a full service and MOT done for my VW Passat. The service was excellent - they scheduled it, gave me an estimate, and executed everything wonderfully. I am satisfied.

Took my vehicle in for a major service (which at Shaikly is higher than industry average already, but they had high reviews so I was okay with this). After the service they told me that I needed what would roughly be 1-2 grand's worth of work done on it for various jobs. I had a couple other mechanics and garages look at my vehicle after, and they all said that the work that Shaikly said the vehicle needed was bogus. I'm quite certain this company is just a money grab, feeding off of people with poor knowledge of vehicles and quoting for work that doesn't actually need to be done. I feel very very ripped off.

They were quick to respond, answered all my questions clearly, and were very accommodating with scheduling. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and genuinely focused on providing great service. I rarely give reviews but these guys are open, honest, very capable and thorough - and will always talk you through the options rather than push you to agree to something. Friendly staff too. It's easy to see why they seem to have built up many repeat customers.

I can’t thank Michael and his team enough for getting my van back on the road and for keeping me going with a courtesy van and updating me with progress. I can’t think of any other garage I’d trust to keep me and my families vehicles going. It’s the personal touches I love.

I recently had an ongoing fault issue with my VW Golf. No one could seem to fix it, I’d visited 2 other garages. I stumbled across Shaikly’s and after reading their reviews thought I’d give them a go!

They assessed and identified the fault, then carried out the necessary repairs.

Another annual service and MoT for our Peugeot Boxer campervan. We have received the usual and expected high quality service at Shaikly Motor Company and will be back again next year. I am happy to recommend Shaikly highly for their customer service, helpfulness and very competent vehicle maintenance.

Can’t recommend Shaikly’s enough. Took my van to several places around town to sort an issue with no luck. Shaiklys sorted it no problem whilst a providing a top service!
