Did not get email receipt for deposit. Took 2 weeks to get it after numerous phone calls to them. Also did not turn up on due date, not even a phone call to let my 82 year old mother they couldn't make it. A week later than planned it was fitted. Never using them again and definitely would not recommend. Avoid at all costs.
I needed two blackout blinds for the bedroom my grandchildren will use.
Blinds, picked,measured and fitted within a week.
Kept informed regarding delivery and fitting.
No complaints and would recommend.
Shutters were supplied and fitted as advised, good price and fitter was great and made sure everything up to spec

We were amazed at the low price too, especially as we ordered five blinds! We would certainly use this company again.

Everything went great right up to install day. 2 Hrs before scheduled spot i was left voicemail and email saying my order was cancelled as the product was obsolete and they hadn’t even made it?? this was over three weeks ago and they will not reply to my requests for a refund. terrible service and now have to claim through credit card.

Incredibly, good company to deal with. Phoned for an appointment recently, well received, and the salesman Gary, arrived within days of my call. Fantastic tracking service, kept me up to date, of his arrival, which was right on time. His attitude in measuring, and showing samples, and advice was simply exemplary. This is the best, for genuine customer service, and trust. My new blinds will arrive soon, and I will respond again. Oh and the price was budget friendly. Good company to deal with, thoroughly recommended, they will not leave you in the shade, more of a brilliant shade of satisfaction guaranteed.

Upon paying, I chose a delivery slot of between 9am & 2pm. Received a message on day of delivery saying fitter would be here between 15:30 & 17:30? Fitter had probably not even left my street when the clip on the cord broke.

Had nothing but bother after my mum
Was overcharged by fitter to the amount of £39 pounds as the man who measured her blinds did not mark on system
He had been paid his fee fitter over charged her by £5.15 aswell 1 week later still no resolution customer services is a joke they pass you from pillar to post my mum is 75 and has all her faculty’s but was so caught of guard she paid the money then called me which begs the question how many vulnerable people are being over charged by the people who is handling payments the fitter only put through he took £58.40 when really he charged her £64 which is not on

I would not recommend Shades Blinds based on my experience.
From the outset, the service has been extremely disappointing. Initial appointments were missed for measuring, which caused delays straight away. Although this was eventually resolved and I was reassured that everything would run smoothly moving forward, this has not been the case.
We are now in April and my shutters, which were due to be fitted on 20th April, have still not been installed. Due to the prolonged delays, my finance agreement has now expired, not because I exceeded the agreed 12-week term, but because of the time taken on their side. I’ve since been informed that I may now be declined if I reapply, which has only added to the frustration.
Communication has been particularly poor. I have repeatedly been told that someone would contact me to resolve the issue, but no one ever follows up. I was also given incorrect information regarding the installation date just days before it was due, only to then be told that the shutters aren’t even expected to arrive until 27th April.
Overall, the experience has been incredibly stressful and time-consuming. I am now in the process of requesting a refund and will be using a different company.
