shadcn.io | Avoid. Not functional as advertised
I purchased the $299 “lifetime” membership to shadcn.io expecting access to premium components and working installation tooling, as advertised.
After purchase, the service was effectively unusable. Multiple member-area links were broken, and the installation commands provided in the documentation did not work. I followed the instructions exactly in a standard environment and was unable to install or use any of the promised components.
I reached out to the creator via the official Discord to request support and cancellation, but received no response.
In practice, this felt like paying for access to something that does not actually exist in a usable form. The product does not match what is described on the sales page, and there is no meaningful support when things don’t work.
I would strongly advise others to avoid spending money here until the service actually functions and support is responsive.
