I used sfl worldwide to send one box from USA to India. When the box arrived, I thought it was not even my box because of how small it was. Turned out they had repacked it and modified the box to be more compact. This is a complete invasion of privacy, I had put items of emotional value in the box. I think some foreknowledge would have helped me decide not to go with them, or for them to repqck at my place while I could see it. Needless to say, I don't think I will use them again.

SFL Worldwide linked up with the company that transported my decades of belongings and furniture from Dubai, UAE, to my hometown in the US. They arranged the rail transport from the US port, Customs clearance and the final delivery by truck. The whole team, including Sadab, Punit, Amit and Abhay, kept me well-informed each step of the way by email and phone, ensuring that the necessary documents in the US were up-to-date and reviewing the requirements for completion of delivery to my new home. Everyone was prompt and knowledgeable, which concluded with a very successful delivery (two days early in fact during a snowstorm). There were no hidden or added costs to what I had already paid to their sister company in the UAE. Transparent and professional all the way. Thank you.

I am writing this to warn others regarding my experience shipping 16 boxes from India to the US with SFL Worldwide. My shipment contained high-value personal items, including designer handbags, perfumes, and expensive traditional attire (sarees/lehengas). Despite paying ₹1,57,000 for air shipping and insurance (Rs 12500 per box), the service was unacceptable.
Timeline of Delays and Lack of Transparency:
Detailed Timeline of Events:
• August 5: Paid in full for air shipping with a guaranteed delivery window of 15–20 days.
• August 25: Only 5 boxes were delivered.
• September 5: Received 1 box after constant follow-ups via WhatsApp and phone calls.
• September 12: Received 4 more boxes (totaling 10). The remaining 6 were missing without explanation.
• October 8: After I repeatedly contacted the agent, I was told the remaining 6 boxes were being held for a "clearance fee" of ₹25,200. Despite all 16 boxes being shipped together, I was forced to pay this extra charge under duress to release my items. I was promised delivery in increments of 2+2+2 within 7–10 working days.
• October 16: 2 boxes were delivered.
• October 24: The remaining 4 boxes failed to arrive as promised.
• November 13: 2 more boxes arrived only after I threatened legal action.
• November 17: The final 2 boxes were finally delivered—nearly three months after the initial payment.
Missing Items and Damage:
Upon inspection, I discovered that multiple branded perfumes, handbags, and expensive jewelry were missing. Other items arrived broken due to poor handling. The total value of the missing and damaged goods is approximately ₹1,15,000.
Misleading Insurance and Poor Redressal:
When I contacted the company for a claim, they refused to take responsibility, citing endless loopholes
1. Valuation: They claimed the itemized list lacked "declared values," despite their staff never requesting values during the onboarding process.
2. Insurance Limitations: They stated the insurance (₹12,500 per box) only covers the loss of an entire box, not the theft or damage of contents within it.
Conclusion:
This company operates with a complete lack of integrity. They utilize hidden charges, provide misleading information regarding insurance coverage, and fail to secure the items entrusted to them.
I strongly advise against using this company for international shipping. They are unreliable and fraud!!!!!
