All good

Second season with a tree from Send Me a Christmas Tree. All good. The trees were lovely and kept very well, with very little needle drop and a wonderful scent! Had no problems with ordering and deliveries.

Awful tree

This was the second time I have bought a Christmas tree from them. The previous tree bought in 2024 was great but sadly the tree bought last year was terrible. It arrived half dead. It had a fishy smell and there was a lot of needles that dropped. We had cut off the bottom and watered it and added nutrition to the water as advised but from the beginning, the tree had bits that was browning and it was very brittle and dry. It was really disappointing and looked very droopy which kept getting worse. We had to sweep up pine needles daily. Because of this, I cannot take the risk of buying another tree from them.

We do always encourage customers to get in touch within 3-4 working days of receipt of the tree or as soon as an issue arises so that we can look to try and rectify this for you by most likely sending a replacement tree.

It's a shame to hear you feel that you can't return to us again but we do hope you are able to give us another chance to change your experience!

Send me a Christmas Tree provide a first class service & first class product.
We have ordered our tree from them for several years & they have been consistently good. On-line ordering is simple, you have a good range of delivery dates to chose from, & they are totally reliable.
The 7-foot Nordman Fir tree that they delivered to us this year was particularly outstanding. It was genuinely 'non drop', so much so that we kept it up until Candlemas (2 Feb) instead of the more normal Twelfth Night!!!
We could not have been more delighted.

The most amazing long life Christmas tree

I purchased a Fraser Fir that arrived on the 2nd December, we bought it straight into the house the same day, decorating it on the 3rd and 4th.
Sadly we had a bit of a Christmas disaster with illness and family recovering from surgery and unable to travel. So we had to delay Christmas by three weeks, till the 17th and 18th January.
I thought I’d keep the decorations up and see if I could keep the tree alive, I truly didn’t expect it to last, but not only has it lasted, it’s hardly dropped a needle and still looks incredible, so much so I’ll be sad to see it go tomorrow but hubby says we can’t keep it any longer as good as it still looks, it as it’s rather odd still having a tree up so long after 12th night!!!! Bah humbug.
Thank you for making our Christmas, it would not have been the same without the tree and we honestly can’t believe how amazing it still looks and smells.
We certainly won’t ever be buying a tree from anyone else from now on. So so impressed and only had to get the hoover out twice for under the tree in all that time, amazing!!!!

Exceptional service

Have used this company for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Excellent communication, friendly staff and outstanding Christmas Trees. This year's tree was exceptional! Would highly recommend. Fantastic product delivered to your door at competitive prices. What more could you ask? Five star all the way!

Excellent service, excellent trees!

We have bought a Nordman Fir Christmas tree for the last 4 years from ‘Send me a Christmas Tree’. It is an excellent company and this year’s tree has been the best yet.
We have bought 6 ft trees. They have been delivered 3 times out of 4 on the day we requested. On one occasion the tree had been dispatched on time but the delay was with the delivery company. Send me a Christmas tree chased up the delay for me.
This year our tree is exceptional being very full and a perfect shape. Our visitors have all commented on the beauty of the tree and have wanted to know where we got it!
We enjoy using this company for its ease of purchase, reliability and quality of tree. I will be using them again and thoroughly recommend them.

Poor quality tree and service

We ordered a tree from this company having seen the mostly positive reviews online. The delivery went well and the tree, while a little bare of branches for the £85 we payed, initially looked good. However, despite us following all of the care instructions (including keeping the tree away from heat and watering regularly), within 2 days the tree stopped absorbing water and many needles were dropping, particularly if a branch was touched. There were very few needles left after another day and no further water was absorbed.

We ended up buying a replacement tree from our local garden centre. We contacted the company about a refund for the tree but still haven't heard back, which has greatly added to our disappointment.

The tree, even if healthy, was on the expensive side for what we received. However, the fact that it died so quickly and the company haven't responded to our messages is very disappointing.

We hesitated to order a Christmas tree…

We hesitated to order a Christmas tree online, but turns out that it was the best choice to order with “send me a Christmas tree”. We’ve orders a Norway spruce. The tree delivered was fresh, full of needles, the correct size and just fantastic! Would definitely order next year again! Thanks!

Sadly, a great tree which died quickly.

I'm really sad to write this review. We used this company and got our first real tree. We never had one before and when opening it looked wonderful. Fresh, smelled amazing. But it's 3 weeks in and dead. Brown and stinks with barely any needles left. I know that we got it quite early and you can never be sure how long it will last, but sadly this has not been a good experience. It didn't make it to Christmas Day and now we have to get the old artificial one out of the loft. A shame

First and last time of using this company

First time we’ve used this company, and we are not impressed. Last year another company delivered, unpacked, set up and informed us how to care for it. It was beautiful and lasted 5 weeks. We only used send me a Christmas tree this year as we moved to a new area where the old company don’t deliver. The guy just dumped it in the front porch and left.. when I unpacked it, the tree was beautiful, but once I put in the water it dropped needles at an alarming rate, it’s not near heat or in sunlight and we have watered as directed. After two weeks it’s dead, brown and falling apart. Terrible quality, we are hosting Christmas Day and it looks awful. Customer services do not reply and website just says closed for Christmas. I definitely would not recommend this company.

Thank you for your review, and for getting in touch with us. I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the tree you received from us this year. We do encourage customers to get in touch within 3-4 working days if they have any concerns about the tree so that we can look to resolve this. However, I understand in this case that the issues may not have become apparent until later on.

When you got in touch it was later on a Saturday when nobody was in the office, we didn't have a staff member in the office yesterday as they were having a well deserved rest after the busy season, however the owner did respond to you yesterday to make sure you knew we were aware of your message and would respond as soon as we could.

Upon seeing your message this morning, I was back in touch with you by about 10am and had fully refunded the tree and resolved the issue by midday.

I'm sorry the tree wasn't up to the quality we usually expect but hope by responding quickly this morning and fully refunding you for the tree today, it has helped to mitigate some of the frustration surrounding the situation.

Outstanding Tree

I thought last years tree was the best ever but this years tree is even better!
Easy to order, delivered on the chosen day by a lovely helpful team.
It’s a beautiful symmetrical shape, very green and fresh. Hardly any needle drop when removing the netting and wrapping. A great experience from ordering to delivery. Will be back again next year.

Dead tree after a few days

This was my first time buying a Christmas tree from this company and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience.
The tree looked fine at first, but within few days it started losing an extreme amount of needles. Despite following all care instructions, including regular watering and even trying the boiling water method suggested by the company, the tree completely died. It stopped absorbing water, the needles became totally dry, and simply touching the branches caused large amounts to fall off.
I sent videos as proof and was offered a 25% refund (£25.50 on an £85 tree) and a 20% discount for next year, or a replacement. I chose the partial refund only because I didn’t have the time or energy to remove all the decorations and set up another tree. I was shocked to still have paid £59.50 for a tree that became unusable after few days.
Today is the 19th and I will need to take the tree down soon. Not sure if I will get to Christmas day. I am extremely sad, I have guests coming for New Year and I won’t have a tree at all. This caused unnecessary stress and disappointment during what should be a festive time.
I won’t be purchasing from this company again and wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

Thank you for your review, we were sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the tree this year and responded promptly when you got in touch with us about it.

We do ask customers to send over an image or video of the tree just so that we can diagnose the problem and see what we can do about it. Upon seeing your video this didn't look to be hugely abnormal needle drop at that stage, and my colleague asked a number of questions just to better understand the conditions that the tree was living in.

From your responses, we agreed that it seemed like you were doing everything right in the care for the tree and offered to send you a replacement tree or provide a partial refund. We much prefer to send customers a replacement tree as we want them to have a tree that they are happy with from us and that will improve their overall experience, however in this case you did opt for the partial refund saying that this would be 'ideal' for you at that stage.

We fully understand that the thought of undressing the tree and redressing the tree can be overwhelming for people during this time, however we find that most people are happy to do this at the time as it means they get a brand new tree that they are much more pleased with.

Once we processed this for you, we didn't hear anything further until Saturday morning when you got in touch to say that you were unhappy with the resolution offered and that your tree had declined further. Instead of processing the 20% code for next year I applied this to your order this year to further refund you for the tree.

I'm sorry that you didn't have the best experience with us this year and we of course hope you give us another chance to improve it next year but we understand if not.

happy customer

We have been ordering from Send Me a Christmas Tree for the past five years, and we absolutely love them. Their trees look like something straight out of a fairytale and last for months. We usually order our tree for November delivery, and honestly, I wish I could keep it up all year long!

Their customer service is always amazing. This year, we experienced a small disappointment as the tree we initially received wasn’t in the best condition. However, after exchanging a few emails and sharing photos, everything was resolved immediately. The replacement tree we received is probably the best one we’ve had in all these years.

I truly believe you can judge a company by how they handle a problem, even a small one, and Send Me a Christmas Tree excels at this. Their customer service is outstanding, and their communication and problem-solving are second to none.

We can’t wait to continue using them for many years to come. Once again, thank you so much for your amazing service, your excellent communication, and for simply being the best.
