Denied without explanation
I was looking for hosted SMTP with DKIM and was recommended SendGrid.
I created an account, but soon got an automated email from Twilio support that said after a thorough review, they didn't want to activate my account. I responded that I wanted to use their email services and asked to activate my account. Customer support responded with
"... your account will not be activated.
For more information on how we reached this decision, please review the following documents:
Acceptable Use Policy
Email Policy"
I reviewed the documents and still didn't understand why my account wasn't activated. I told the support this and asked him to elaborate.
He replied
"For security reasons, we cannot provide any additional details regarding this decision."

I first considered giving 2 stars here, because I quickly got in touch with a human, but after reading a couple other reviews where paying customers are locked out I decided to only give one star.
I understand that you don't want noncompliant or malicious users on your site, but not explaining what I did wrong, doesn't help me improve. And it doesn't get you any sales.
So secure it's useless
They've made it so secure for themselves, it's useless for anyone else. Don't waste your time. You'll just get angry. They block your account if you sneeze - if you want to run a business, it can't be with sendgrid.
awful customer service
Their support is down for days / weeks and they are uncontactable. Avoid at all costs.
High Effort, Low Reward
The Customer Service Reps are always nice, but very little gets accomplished. My account got hacked, and I'm going on day six without anything being resolved about cancelling my account. I have expressed that I believe the matter is urgent, to no avail. I was able to cancel two other accounts with other vendors that were affected within a few minutes. Because of this I don't recommend them.
you are on the wrong side of history
I have an account with them which I hadn't used in about 6 months. I tried logging in and wham bam, the 2fa did not work - as in, I did not receive any text.
I assumed I had used my old business number and I tried changing it but it does not find it (what on earth?!) so in the end, I tried opening a new account with my personal email address and my website and I was banned as an unsafe user.
Seriously, WHAT is WRONG with your algorithm?!? Did it even crawl my website? I offer marketing services and the revenue supports charitable causes.
Block me before use it on registering…
Block me before use it on registering ... not recommend it
This is why SendGrid is the worst…
This is why SendGrid is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
I had a problem logging into my SendGrid which was due to their mandatory 2FA, I reached out to support on September 6th and it is now October 2nd with no resolve.
The funny thing is it is quite a simple fix on their end, yet they keep passing me on to someone new and the process starts again.
I have now been passed on to 7 different people with still no resolve...
This highlights the incompetence of their customer service team and their product.
Some of the valuable lessons here are:
1) Don't use SendGrid.
2) A valuable lesson on how not to do customer service.
3) You don't need large incompetent customer service teams.
Tried to sign up but their website prevented me...
I signed up and tried to pay for a plan but there's a bug that doesn't let you pay for any plan. I tried to contact both their customer service and support teams. Both failed, because I don't have a "business email" - apparently the gmail account I've used as my business email for years isn't good enough for these snobs. That probably gives a good preview of how their customer support would be. I guess I'll go with someone else.

account restricted for no reason at all. because It was inactive?

Denied access with no explanation. Happy to take all my details though. Essentially a fishing website
Do not use this company ever if you wanna have any credibility over your business
This company cancelled my account after 10 years for a policy violation that I’ve never done and I’ve been using the same used case for 10 years. After seven days, they reactivated my account saying it was a routine check. During that seven days, I’ve tried to contact them multiple times without any replies. Meanwhile my entire business went down the drain. My customers are asking for refunds because they couldn’t get a single email from my platform and it was the worst decision to go with send grid. Do not use this company ever if you wanna have any credibility over your business.
Scam and Spam favorite
Scam and Spam favorite! Of course you ill have your service grouped with other entities "doing bad things". Whois for sendgrid.net, .com, .org yields Markmonitor ownership with a Las Vegas location, but an Idaho phone number. Markmonitor.com is blacklisted. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Please be warned, terrible support
My account was canceled without any warning, and I’ve been trying for a week to get in touch with SendGrid’s support team to resolve this. It takes ages to get a response, and when I finally hear back, the replies are completely useless and don’t address my questions at all.
Now I’m forced to switch to another system, which will likely cost me thousands of euros. The service is unreliable, and the support is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. Definitely not recommended if you need a service that can solve problems quickly and efficiently. 👎
I would prefer to give zero stars
I would prefer to give zero stars.
I was supposed to be a new user as part of the organisation I work for. Had some trouble with the verification on the internet. Instead of assisting, you just keep getting Zen desk emails which are useless. So, bottom line is, I'm blocked and am not allowed to set up an account. Pathetic.
Disappointing Experience with SendGrid Support and Service
I've been using SendGrid for transactional emails, expecting reliable service and responsive support given its reputation. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
We encountered a technical issue where our emails, despite being correctly encoded as UTF-8, were being altered by SendGrid's system and delivered with ISO-8859-1 encoding headers. This resulted in character rendering issues and, even more concerning, some emails being flagged as spam.
Over the past week, I've tried to resolve this with SendGrid's support team, providing detailed explanations, numerous test emails to help diagnose the problem. However, it became clear that the support team either lacks the technical expertise or simply does not take customer concerns seriously.
Despite our best efforts, the issue remains unresolved, and the responses from the support team have been repetitive and unhelpful, often suggesting steps that we had already taken.
As a result, we've had to consider alternative solutions to ensure the reliability of our email communications.
If you're considering SendGrid for your business, be aware that while the platform may work fine when things go smoothly, you might face significant challenges when dealing with their support team if issues arise.
Overall, I'm deeply disappointed with both the service and support, and I would caution others about relying on SendGrid for mission-critical email delivery.
Login difficulties and finally account deactivated
Login difficulties and finally account deactivated without notice, though i rarely use it. this problematic company should go down.
Can't even open an account
I literally cant even open an account with these people because you can't edit autofill information in the account registration. Worthless.
Seriously incompetend support
Seriously, Sendgrid has the most incompetend support I ever experienced!
Trying to pay my bill and they are incapable to provide access to my account because my dedicated IP has changed!
Also provided them with my drivers license, mobile number (which was used for 2FA) and credit card details (including expiry date)
5 different level1 support guys have dealt with this and after 6 weeks still no resolve.
They are scammer
They are scammer, they provide me wrong smtp server and charged me extra money.
SendGrid is absolutely the worst email…
SendGrid is absolutely the worst email marketing provider you can sign up for.
They locked my account without any reason (never actually used their services before, I just had an account sitting there for years for some reasons) and they first told me to create another account, then they blocked the other account as well.
SendGrid is tightly integrated in Bubble.io so now I can't send password reset emails to my users.
This is an absolute tragedy and SendGrid support is not helpful at all.
I have no idea how can they still be in business.
Avoid at all costs.
