I was selling my old iPhone (apple confirmed they would give me £130) then saw this website and with the same quote they would give me £180 so I decided to go for them.
I received a message saying my phone was average and £45 worth!
I was so shocked that I dropped my phone and accidentally pressed accept offer. I am furious as they are a total scam. I have sold my old phones for the last 5 years and NOBODY has offered that little! Scam scam scam. I wish I had read reviews before hand .
I got offer of £631.00 from them and…
I got offer of £631.00 from them and when I posted my phone to them they revalued with new price of £500.00 stating that the price of the phone has dropped in 2 days after I posted it to them. Definitely avoid them and won’t be coming back to them.
Knocked off £137 due to ‘market crash’ overnight
I was quoted £687 just yesterday for my phone. It arrived today and they said that the market value had dropped so only offered me £550. Even though another company was willing to pay £692. I’m not stupid the market didn’t drop £137 overnight.
Dishonest company who, like others say, knock down your offer for no reason and hope you take it.
Would avoid trading in your phone with this company. Wish I read the reviews

I previously had a poor experience with this company a while back but decided to give them another go. I spoke with Adam via WhatsApp from start to finish with the processing of my phone. I find communication this way is far easier than through emails. Everything went smoothly and I received payment the same day. Big thank you to Adam

Please believe all the negative reviews…
Please believe all the negative reviews everyone has been sending. This company are all scammers. I sent a good conditioned iPhone 16 pro which I videoed before I sent it to them and they offered £606 on comparemyphone as soon as they receive it apparently it significantly scratched which is a lie. I have evidence before it was posted from start to putting it in the box now they’re offering £350. Absolute scam. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!
Fast experience
Fast experience, sold for a good price. Highly recommend.
Quoted High, Offered Low After Inspection
Very disappointing experience.
I sent my phone in excellent condition with no marks or scratches on the screen. I was originally quoted £544, but after they received the device they claimed there was a mark and reduced the offer to £270 — almost half the original quote.
When I rejected the revised offer, they told me I would need to pay £10–£15 just to have my own phone returned.
This feels extremely unfair and misleading. If the phone truly had damage, clear evidence should be provided. Customers should not be pressured into accepting a much lower price or paying extra to get their own device back.
Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about using this service.
Stay away! You won’t get what you’re quoted
Initial process was quick and efficient however the problems started when the phone got to them. I was quoted 544 for a good condition iPhone 15 pro max before sending it and by the time they did their evaluation it had dropped to £270 on the basis of imaginary scratches and dents (it had a screen protector and case since day one so how’s that possible?) and battery cycle counts, though for most people that keep a phone 2 years would that not exceed their 500 cycle requirement, that is stated nowhere in the selling process (mine had 729 cycles and 85% health which is very reasonable) even CeX require at least 80% and that’s based on Apples guidelines of 70% before needing replacement.
TL:DR Don’t bother, they’ll offer high prices to get you through the door and then slash them on evaluation by 50-80% and hope you take the loss instead of paying to have It returned and hope they don’t destroy your property along the way.
AVOID if you're selling a phone.
PLEASE AVOID if you are selling your phone.
If I could rate minus I would. I sent my iPhone 16 pro to them selecting good condition - it has had a genuine apple screen replacement due to a black dot that appeared at the edge of the screen, which Apple replaced free under warranty. Otherwise it is in perfectly good condition.
First they tell me there's a delay due to system errors, then they tell me that they have revalued the phone to £320 from £568 because their diagnostic test picked up a repair that and that is unusual if the repair is genuine. I called apple and they assured me that the repair was genuine, it also clearly says so in the settings. This company we're convinced that this must mean it has had second, ungenuine repair which is not the case at all and conveniently for them something I cannot physically prove.
I told them I am absolutely not accepting that price and they can send it back to me at their cost because there is zero mention of screen repairs affecting their condition ratings in their T's&C's. After a ridiculous amount of back and forth (them trying to get me to accept small increases rather than them sending my phone back), they agred to send it back to me free of charge and I received it. That was the one positive.
If you read the reviews before initiating a sale with them, consider them for your own sake because from reading the other reviews it seems like they just lure you in with an amount they are never actually willing to pay and then make up an issue to knock a few hundred pounds off for their own benefit.
They have been urging me to take my review down, when they first asked I would consider it once I received my phone back. I did consider it and decided against it because the whole experience was incredibly stressful for me and I dont think they should get away with it untarnished.

Quick response rate, great service and incredibly helpful team. Highly recommend.

Do not recommend!
I sent my phone to this company and was quoted £531 beforehand, they then quoted me £280 after receiving the phone and said that there was an issue with the rear microphone and the battery health. I obviously wasn’t happy with this so asked for my phone back. They then offered me £290, I declined and told them I could probably get more elsewhere and to send it back, they explained to me reasons why I wouldn’t get more than their ‘reasonable’ offer. A few messages later they offer me £330 because I still wasn’t happy and again I ask for the phone back but now I’m getting no communication. I am being asked to pay £10/£15 to return a phone to me that I don’t believe has these faults.
I’ve recycled all my previous phones and never had this issue. After reading the reviews today I can see I’m not the only one with this issue which makes me wonder if the ‘evidence’ they sent me is even of my phone. Would not recommend using this company.
Great company, did what they said
This company came out top on a comparison site. I used them to sell my iPhone 15 pro max They were easy to deal with and paid the advertised price. I simply shipped my phone on the Monday…. All was paid the following day and had good comms throughout (via WhatsApp). Fair price paid, seamless transaction - would recommend.
Great customer service
Great customer service! Sold my phone here and they were great with everything!
AVOID
AVOID! Was quoted £570 for my device, received message from sellyourfone to try to get me to accept £430 quoting absolute nonsense about a "Samsung market crash". Basically tried to scam me out of £140 thinking I'm stupid. Eventually paid the quoted £570 after 10 messages of rubbish about speaking to the "manager" so they didn't have to send me the device back. Save yourself hassle and use a more reputable company.
Scam
Business model.
-Quote a price to buy phone which they will never pay.
-‘Tech expert’ checks phone and finds ‘marks’ and device fault.
-Offer vastly reduced price
- they wait and delay while you ask for phone returned and ask what you want
- give an offer which makes you not want to go through hassle of re-valuing or selling phone privately.
I was quoted £440 reduced to £200. I accepted £300. Phone had a screen protector and case since minute 1 of owning. ‘Marks’ identified were petty and probably removed with a bit of a polish.
DO NOT TRUST THESE JOKERS WITH A CUP AND STRING PHONE
Avoid these scammers
I arranged to sell my phone through Compare and Recycle and was quoted £561 for a device in “good” condition.
Sell Your Fone (FB Phones LTD) later contacted me to say that, following inspection, they had identified faults — marks on the casing and an issue with the rear microphone — and reduced their offer to £270.
Their message stated that if I declined the revised offer, my phone would be returned free of charge (waiving their usual £10 return fee). I therefore requested its return. They were noticeably reluctant.
After checking with other recyclers, I received quotes of around £470, even accounting for the cosmetic marks. When I asked them to match this, they initially refused, so I again requested my phone back.
They then offered £470 — but only on the condition that I removed my negative review.
During this process, I discovered that Sell Your Fone sell devices on Back Market under FB Phones LTD, and a phone matching mine was listed there in “excellent” condition for £841. They denied it was my device.
I counter-offered £500 in exchange for the phone and removal of my review. After further pressure and guilt-tripping about them “making a loss”, they agreed — which raised obvious questions.
Ultimately, I declined and requested my phone’s return again. They eventually sent it back, and interestingly, the Back Market listing disappeared shortly afterwards.
Since returning my phone, they have contacted me again asking me to remove my review.
The persistence in trying to retain my device, despite claiming it would cause them a significant financial loss was concerning.
