Such great detail and constant updates added on genetic information. Great to be aware of health risks to to try lower the risk by implementing the recommendation thats comes with reports.

I'm a picky scientist (PhD genetics, molecular biology, biochem) who's been searching for best, most accurate genetic test for my health consulting clients for a long time. Among many competitors, SelfDecode came out on top (by a wide margin) in terms of 1. quality and depth of data analysis, 2. up-to-date and thorough scientific backing, and 3. wide array of useful online tools and customizable downloads (client reports, recommendations, lab analyzer, etc). Absolutely mind-blowing!!
Plus, their support is equally excellent: they're very responsive, helpful and polite.
Highly recommend!

Among my everyday apps. Can’t say enough great things about this company.

I have been trying to contact support (by email) for 11 days now about a test kit not received and they do not even respond.
I could not find any telephone numbers I can call.
Should I just conclude this company is too incompetent to serve its customers and get my credit card company to charge back?

MOST OF THE GOOD REVIEWS LOOK FAKE… here’s an honest one.
I bout in a few years ago and it’s still blah.
The platform is really basic and takes forever to load each report, if it loads at all.
Most of the analysis and recommendations are as basic as any elementary school health book; limit alcohol, eat vegetables, don’t smoke etc,.
None of your data is analyzed as a whole (each is just auto plugged) so one tab will say your a high risk for depression and the next will say your a low risk a likely a very happy person… so recommendations conflict.
Most of the important SNPSare behind a paywall, even if you buy the lifetime package.
Many of the other important SNPS aren’t actually tested, ie, your dna report is incomplete.
They will spam you to death and if you open the app there is a video that pops up over every single tab.
Finally it’s just kinda clunky.
So if you want to fork over a bunch of money for a slow app, an incomplete report, and conflicting analysis just to be told to eat your veggies, then this is it; if you want something in depth that you can use keep looking.

A wealth of personal information. I especially, like the lab analyzer. It really helps to get a better understanding of what your results mean. I deal with chronic illness. This was definitely worth the purchase.

SelfDecode is the best company out there for genetic feedback. I love their overview analysis of my gene SNPs that I uploaded from 23&Me. I got several key insights that have helped me figure out a better supplement to take based on a couple of my genes. I am a scientist so I am comfortable with a certain level of unknown in the scientific community about how many of our genes work. Science hasn't figured out what many of our genes do yet, but SelfDecode is continually updating their database with new knowledge. I have been using them since 2017 and have seen a huge progression over that time. They continue to get better and add more information. I can't wait to see where they will be in 10 years.

SelfDecode is great! I love the ability to dive deep into my genes, and get actionable recommendations on how to address heath issues based on my genetic profile.

Made some research on the market before choosing SelfDecode, I believe they offer the best you can have on DNA sequencing on a very good price.
Although we are not our genes, understanding your genetics can be the key to your health improvement.
At the time I purchased the service, this was not available for my country but the kind personnel from SelfDecode made that possible for me, for which I am very grateful.
I also appreciate the continuous research using AI tools and periodical issue of new articles.

I seldom write reviews, except when a service truly exceeds my expectations. In this case, a company and, especially, a fantastic team member led me to summarize my experience.
I have been using the genetic testing and analysis services provided by SelfDecode for over a year now, and I am very satisfied with the quality of their services. Their personalized recommendations and actionable insights have been very helpful.
In particular, I have found their coaching program to be exceptional, thanks to the outstanding care provided by Dr. Greg Nacarelli. Dr. Nacarelli is an extraordinarily competent and caring doctor, who is a great listener and analyst, and always does the utmost to support and help. He shows deep and fundamental knowledge with a holistic approach, searching the roots of the health problems and guiding me on how to improve step by step. His contribution to the coaching program and to my health and well-being cannot be overstated. I’m truly grateful I crossed paths with Dr. Nacarelli.
The level of customer support provided by SelfDecode has also been good. Their team has always been responsive and helpful in addressing any questions or concerns that I have had.
Overall, I would highly recommend SelfDecode to anyone who is interested in learning more about their genetic health risks and optimizing their health. To harvest the real benefits, the coaching program is a strong recommendation; otherwise, it is easy to be lost in information overload and the big number of reports.

Selfdecode offers a great panorama about your Dna.

It's a great starting point but not entirely comprehensive. For example - for Vitamin E, it recommends I supplement BUT I have a gene that makes Vitamin E supplementation inflammatory (GSTP1). Yes my absorption of Vitamin E is impaired so I may need more from food to get an adequate amount, but blindly recommending to add in a supplement can make someone feel a lot worse. Other than that, it's a really great tool for learning about the various genes you have and getting a baseline sense, just be careful when going with supplement recommendations - often they aren't nuanced enough OR are actually dosed way too low and will not have any therapeutic effect. Better to work with a practitioner who can tailor a program to you.

I understand this company looks awesome if you just see the impressive 5 star rating, but I really wish I'd seen the negative reviews before signing up to their service, so I hope my review will help someone. Yes, they do bombard you with spam so at some point you stop paying attention to their emails. Their "payment reminder" email says something like "Congratulations on your Health Anniversary", so you'll have no idea that your credit card is about to be charged. You tell them to cancel the subscription moments after the payment goes through and their customer service will send you lengthy emails (just like all these replies to the reviews you see here) pretending they are "addressing the issue". Say goodbye to your $100.

It is an amazing insightful tool to help understand and improve your health, vitality and biology further!

This is an incredible service where you can combine all your genetic and lifestyle factors into one place and use them to tailor your behaviours to the best longevity outcome.
There are thousands of genetic SNPs that can predispose you to certain conditions. However there are very few that are truly deterministic. In other words, having a particular SNP does not mean you are GUARANTEED to get whatever condition or disease it relates to. This means you can take control of your own biological destiny and implement behaviours to mitigate the risk.
And now, by getting regular bloodwork done and adding those results to SelfDecode, you can track how well you're doing with those lifestyle changes.
Example: I discovered (via SelfDecode) that I have one copy of the APOE4 SNP that makes me significantly more likely to develop Alzheimers later in life. A whole host of metabolic factors are also correlated with Alzheimers: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol (APOB), omega 3 index, VO2 max and many more. I have now incorporated more VO2 max training into my training regime, as well as sauna, cold exposure, a good quality omega 3 supplement and I already eat a low carb diet. In a few months, I'll be able to upload some new bloods to SelfDecode and hopefully see that my APOB and HbA1c have reduced.
In other words, I've been able to take steps to hopefully prevent it from ever happening, instead of waiting for a diagnosis in my 60s, as conventional medicine would have me do, by which time it will be too late.
It's not an exaggeration to say that this service could help you add decades to your life.
