AVOID at all cost!
Day one my wife was taken to Select, the communication problems started. I was not told she had arrived until after I had to call and ask. They had no notes on her previous stay at a local hospital and seemed confused. The first week, I needed to find doctors, nurses and adminstrators just to find out what was being done throughout the day. No one seemed to care too much about any updates - verbal, writern or otherwise. One night I arrived and found my wife, who is on a ventator, gasping for breath. I could not locate a nurse, doctor or the respiratory therapist. After five minutes, the respiratory therapist came by and said 'What is the problem?' He non-caring attitude spoke volumes on the care she was receiving by him and others. I brought this to the attention of the admins who seemed to listened but nothing changed after promises of improved verbal and written communications. The final straw occurred when she was transported to a local hospital and I was not told until I inquried (four hours after she arrived at the local hospital). The doctor's response was "Oh, I forgot to tell you". If you care about your loved ones, don't even consider this as an option for healthcare because it is not a viable option. There is another review, written by Angela, which is very accurate based on our experience.
