I could not recommend Sekanka enough for a safari tour in Botswana. We originally planned to book the Maun to Kasane tour, but also really wanted to see the meerkats, and the team were incredibly accommodating in helping us bundle everything into one package.

Throughout the safari, our guides were fantastic. Macha was with us the whole time and was an absolute wealth of knowledge. He took the time to explain everything we saw and was determined to make sure we experienced all the hard-to-spot animals (including lions and cheetahs)!

A big shout out as well to Monpati, Creature and Mr Booga for helping with transport, camp setup and the amazing food throughout the trip. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

We booked a Victoria Falls – Zambia Rhino Tour – Chobe River and National Park – Okavango Delta (Moremi) private tour!

It was perfectly organized and tailored to all our wishes. It was so easy to turn our “dreams” into reality. The lodges met our expectations—small, family-run businesses, exactly as we wanted! Great food and, above all, friendly people. Everywhere we had excellent private safaris and very well-trained guides. And every stay was optimized exactly as we wanted it.

At Victoria Falls there was an organized helicopter tour. In Chobe we had a private boat safari and great game drives. In Moremi we stayed in a tented camp—amazing! And every night there was a concert of the wilderness!

Organizing the trip was incredibly easy! Even when the road to Maun was closed following some heavy rain showers, a flight was arranged on short notice. We recommend Sekanka without reservation—local professionals who know Botswana inside out.

My wife and I traveled for our honeymoon in April 2026, and we arranged everything through Anna at Sekanka Safaris. From the very beginning, she was an absolute pleasure to work with—thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly attentive to what we were looking for. She crafted a wonderful itinerary that suited us perfectly, all at a very reasonable price.

Our guide, Thalo, was outstanding throughout the trip, seamlessly taking care of all our transfers and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Anna also selected fantastic accommodations and experiences at every stop, which truly elevated our journey.

We later learned there had been some challenges behind the scenes due to flooding in Botswana, but everything was handled so professionally that we were completely unaware at the time. In fact, the alternative stay at Xaoo Camp turned out to be exceptional, and the private safaris with our guide Joe were a real highlight of the trip.

It took a bit of research to find Sekanka Safaris, but it was absolutely worth it. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Our safari took us over 13 days from Maun to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. After two days, we continued to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. From there, three days later, we went back to Maun for an overnight stay. From there, we drove to the Okavango Delta to the Moremi Game Reserve, and from there via Khwai and Savuti to the Chobe River Front and Kasan, where our safari ended after 13 days. I had planned the course of the safari myself and discussed its implementation with Sekanka Safari Tours (especially with Anna and Tepo) by email. Sekanka Safari Tours perfectly realized my ideas. Everything worked out wonderfully, and we (four participants) together with the Sekanka team (five people; one guide, one cook, and three camp attendants) had a marvelous time on this extraordinary safari. The costs for this custom safari were reasonable compared to other safari tours.
All four participants were of the opinion that they would go on a safari tour with Sekanka again.

Our 8 day Northern Botswana Safari was the trip of a lifetime. Our first Safari we were a little apprehensive but we needn't have worried Anna at Sekanka answered all our questions and offered valuable advice. We chose to do four days camping in the Okavango delta to start, our pick ups were always on time.

I would certainly recommend 'roughing' it a little if you are able, the lack of plumbing is more than made up for by the experience of living amongst the wildlife.

The game drives were phenomenal, Ben, our guide, was so knowledgeable and with more than 20 years experience he could read the tracks and had an uncanny ability to seek out all the best sightings. We couldn't have asked for better with Kathy the cook and the camp staff all doing fine work in the 'bush'. We saw 4 Leopards, a pride of lions stalking a buffalo herd, elephants, giraffes, hippos and countless other birds and animals.

After we left Ben in the Delta a short flight took us to the Chobe River, from here on we stayed in guest houses and hotels, all were clean and comfortable. A boat safari on the Chobe river was a highlight seeing hundreds of elephants, hippos in and out of the water, crockodiles and a lot more.
From there it was on to two nights in Victoria falls to see a natural wonder of the world, and a Zambezi boat cruise all perfectly organised by Sekanka. Give them a call , you won't regret it.

Our family of four (kids 11 and 9) opted for a nine-day tour of Botswana/Zimbabwe, starting in Maun and ending at Victoria falls, including four unforgettable nights camping. From the outset, communication with Anna was prompt, informative, and reassuring, giving us the confidence to travel as a young family to such a remote and wild location.

The camping, although a little daunting, was immersive and truly memorable. We’ll never forget falling asleep and waking during the night to the sounds of the wild.

Our crew were outstanding. Name was a master at preparing delicious meals over the campfire. DT and Buka always had the camp perfectly set up for our arrival, complete with a warm fire waiting. But a special mention must go to our guide, Chief. His deep respect, knowledge, and love for the wildlife were evident in everything he did. He constantly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible.

The mokoro ride was surreal – at one point we had to hop out and navigate around a stubborn elephant feeding in the middle of the river! The boat cruises on the Delta, Chobe, Zambezi rivers were equally stunning. And finishing at the mighty Victoria Falls was the perfect finale.

Over the course of our tour, we saw over forty different animal species. Highlights included leopards (including a cub), lions, hyenas nursing their pups, painted dogs with eight pups, warthogs, hippos, crocs, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and of course, the ever-majestic elephants.

Unforgettable Safari Trip – May 2025

Our journey took us from Maun, Botswana, through breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife experiences, all the way to the Victoria Falls, with a perfect ending in Cape Town. It was truly unforgettable! Every day brought a new adventure and a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The all-inclusive package was exceptionally well planned. The recommendation to camp brought us amazingly close to nature and the animals – a truly immersive and unforgettable experience. At the same time, the selection of accommodations throughout the trip was excellent – each place thoughtfully chosen, offering comfort, character, and a strong connection to the surrounding environment.

The organization was flawless from start to finish. We had a fantastic team and a knowledgeable, warm-hearted guide who made the journey even more special with his passion and expertise.

We also enjoyed varied and delicious meals, often prepared over an open fire, which added to the adventure and made every meal feel unique.

The itinerary was diverse, well-paced, and full of highlights. We felt safe, cared for, and well supported at all times. The local partner companies were also professional, friendly, and fully committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Ending our journey in Cape Town was the perfect conclusion – a vibrant, stunning city that offered a refreshing contrast to the safari.

At the end of June and the begining of July 2025 our family had the first safari. We decided to have safari in the Okavango Delta, and used Sekanka Travel and Tours from Maun to organise our trip. We also wanted to see the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We had an excellent email communication with Sekanka Travel and Tours, aimed at helping us prepare an itinerary for our stay in Botswana and Zimbabwe. They provided a comprehensive set of information essential for properly packing for a safari, including guidance for traveling with children (ages 10 and 14). Every arrangement made nearly a year in advance was carried out 100% as agreed.

We had a wonderful guide during our safari in the Okavango Delta – Monika Kealegoga. Monika is an exceptionally experienced guide: professional, cheerful, and highly knowledgeable about the trails, flora, and fauna of the Okavango Delta. She also drove the Toyota LandCruiser with great skill. We were very well supported by the rest of the team as well, including Name – the cook, who was excellent. We saw an incredible number of animals. A fantastic safari experience.

Sekanka Travel and Tours also organized our stays in Kasane and at Victoria Falls. Both the waterfall itself and the river cruises on the Zambezi and Chobe were truly unforgettable experiences.

Simply AMAZING!!! From the very beginning, Anna was so incredibly helpful with the whole planning process and was there to answer any questions at any time. Going into our trip, I felt very confident that everything would be planned and taken care of for us. Our guide, Salani, was the absolute best. We could not have asked for a better guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the land and wildlife and seemed to know almost everyone throughout the entire country of Botswana. We could tell we were in good hands from the very first day. He always seemed to know right where to go to get us in the right places at the right time to get the best views of the wildlife. And I definitely cannot go without complimenting our entire team: MP, KT and our bush chef, Nem. Some of the kindest and most helpful folks you could ever meet. And even after having to pack up camp, drive several hours on rough roads, and reset our camp in another location, they were there with a smile on their faces; ready to help with anything we could ask for. And Nem's cooking.. WOW!!! So yummy and exactly what we needed after long days on game drives. The animal sightings we had were out of this world and beyond what we thought we would see. The itinerary was perfect, from the locations, to the experiences (game drives, boat tours), and ending with a lovely lodge stay in Victoria Falls. It was all exactly what we wanted and expertly and carefully crafted by the wonderful people at Sekanka. I would not change a single thing about our tour and we all even said we would need to request our same team for the next time because they truly made everything so wonderful. In Salan, we trust! We would recommend this company to anyone looking to journey into the Okavango Delta and tell them, with 100% confidence, that they will have an amazing time!!

Having compared numerous agencies, we chose Sekanka.It was an excellent decision - a very reasonable price (Botswana is not cheap!), reliable answers to all my questions and more game drives than expected. All information on their homepage is correct, nothing is exaggerated. Strong recommendation!

From day one, the communication with Anna was fantastic: friendly, efficient and extremely helpful! She really went the extra mile to tailor the trip to what we wanted to do. She also helped out when we had a problem with our flight at the end of the trip.

The activities throughout the trip were excellent and provided a great range of experiences, from game drives to a scenic flight, canoe ride and meeting the meerkats!

The accommodation along the way was lovely, food was good and we were well taken care of. The transfers provided were safe and comfortable and the driver was helpful.

My 9 year old daughter and I just got back from a 5 Night Mobile Safari and absolutely loved it! 5 Lion Sightings, our Lion Count was 24! We also loved the boat trips. We had no rain (despite traveling end of the rainy season), hardly seen any other cars. Its been raw and wild and wonderful! We miss our bucket shower! We had one issue while traveling - which was immediately sorted out. Communication in general has been amazing.
The guide was great. The chef fantastic.
Thanks to the whole team that made this journey unforgettable! Vic Falls were also amazing! Just the perfect end to our travels. We will come back with the rest of the family!

Anna & Tepo turned our trip to Victoria Falls into an absolute dream holiday. From accommodation to activities, everything was perfectly organized. We got to experience the stunning waterfalls, enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise on the Zambezi, and take a day trip to Chobe National Park – including both a boat safari and a traditional game drive. Everything went smoothly and stress-free, allowing us to fully relax and soak in every moment. Two fascinating countries, breathtaking nature experiences, and a trip that was planned down to the last detail. We can wholeheartedly recommend this team!

Travelling with Sekanka Safaris has been a absolutely fantastic experience for us, a family of five with children aged 12, 15 and 17. 10 days so full of exciting wild life experiences, fantastic nature and wonderful people, this journey will stay in our hearts forever. Some nights we stayed in pleasant lodges, but the best for us was by far the days and nights we spent camping in the wilderness. So many exciting encounters with wild animals, and still we felt completely safe and secure. This was thanks to our amazing guide, Lenti, and the rest of the team that followed us on our camping days. They all made us feel comfortable and at home in the wilderness, always polite and nice and smiling. And Lenti... Our children said they missed him in the moment he left us after the last morning drive in Chobe National Park, and we parents totally agreed. What a resourceful and knowledgeable and good person! We could ask him anything - about any animal, landscape, climate, culture, people, Botswana politics... And he told us everything we needed to know, at any time. His knowledge about the animals around us seemed limitless. We couldn´t be happier with our guide!
Some parts of the trip we had game drives and activities with other companies that Sekanka cooperate with. But the experiences with Sekanka's own crew was by far the best. Thank you for making our dream come true.

We absolutely loved our trip to Botswana and Victoria Falks Zimbabwe particularly the time we spent out in the bush camping. We were so well looked after by the camp staff and our guide, Lenty was fantastic. He went out of his way to ensure that we had the best time and his calm and knowledgeable manner ensured we felt safe and secure at the same time as we were thrilled by the proximity of all the many animals we saw.
We also enjoyed our stay at the Chobi Bush Lodge and at Shearwater Lodge in Victoria Falls.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Sekanka Safaris as we found everything to be well organised and suited to our individual needs.

Excellent organization. Very committed and competent guides. Worth the money. Guide team consisting of chef, cook, camp manager and experienced game observer/tracker. Best conditions for excellent sightings, culminating in a family of 10 lions and a leopard while hunting. Mobile tent accommodation is a real adventure for "standard Europeans". Schicki Micki is definitely out of place here.

The safari was amazing. All accommodations exceeded our expectations; the one time it didn’t they organised a change of houses immediately. We saw so many animals and did incredible activities (such as sleeping under the stars and boat cruises).

We chose Sekanka as the package offered touched exactly all locations we wanted to visit and booked the trip one year prior. We always received very quick and detailed replies for all our questions and really appreciated Sekanka's flexibility and attention to meet our needs. We travelled two weeks through Botswana and Zimbabwe with combined experience Camping and Lodges. Everything was perfect. Lodges well all nice, clean, well organized and also camping in the bush has been an amazing experience: we were spoilt with delicious meals (thank you Kabelo and Number) and felt such a friendly atmosphere!. The Game drives have been amazing (thank you Cief for being our excellent guide and driver) and exciting and totally went over expectations (we saw so many lions!!!!). Also transfer to Zimbabwe was well organized and our stay memorable, also thanks to exciting optional activities organized for us (boat trip, helicopter flight over Vic Falls, walking with the lions). We will never forget this incredible adventure.

We took a 9 night lodge safari from Victoria Falls to the Okavango delta. We had a fantastic time and saw lots of amazing wildlife and landscapes. Sekanka Safaris provided excellent service from the first enquiry until we got on our flight home.
