Spot the difference? I did some research and the seiko 5 range of watches (one on the lhs) are of equal quality to the Rolex datejust? Can’t believe it myself- but I got a 5 in early Jan and it’s great (can’t fault it) - been wearing it everyday- I am also more comfortable wearing it as it’s only an entry level watch! Working on my nice (but value) quality watch collection- and this is one of them! 5*

SO FAR SEIKO HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL I PURCHASED A SEIKO MONSTER ITS A BEAUTIFUL WATCH BUT I AM UNFAMILIAR WITH THEIR PIN AND COLLAR SYSTEM AND LOST MY COLLARS I CONTACTED SEIKO AND THEY ARE GOING TO SEND ME SOME MORE WHICH IS A GREAT HELP OTHERWISE I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE I WILL TRY NOT TO GET ANYMORE ON BRACELETS.

Purchased a Seiko sumo divers watch in August 22. It cost £750, have had nothing but trouble,firstly it was gaining 5 mins so sent it back for remedial work to put it right. It was returned in October,but by December was losing 3 minutes. Seiko have phoned me today and told me that this is normal. (Normal for a watch not to tell the right time). They also said it had been nocked which I know to be untrue as I’m unable to walk and spend the days sat down or on my mobility scooter. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I am and. have been. Don’t Buy Seiko

My father has a seiko for 10 years. They deserved this positive review!

A very simple issue with my watch that I think should not be more than days to sort out is taking month. The colour on the face of my watch is fading off after using the watch about five times because I love and have more watches. Got a reply requesting me to select any of their model for replacement on a discounted price. I replied to send me the pics of those model so as to choose but got another reply that the company can not send selected models. I wonder how and what I would select from

I bought a Seiko Presage Sharp edge last year. I paid a bit more than 800£. From the beginning, i had timekeeping problems, after two weeks it was 4 minutes plus. I've waited till now when i decided to send to Seiko Uk to be repaired under the warranty, surprise surprise, just got a bill of 225£ because the balance spring is knocked out of the position and Seiko believe is my fault and won't repair it under the warranty. I am looking for legal ways to sort this out, i literally had my watch at work and different events, no damage, no dropping i took care of it.
Avoid Seiko it doesn't look a powerful brand for mechanical watches

Had the watch a year always lost a couple of minutes a week then the face started spinning around!
I'm an A/C engineer so the watch doesn't look brand new!!
As already stated below...Oh your watch has been dropped so here's the cost of repair!!
Watch and guarantee not worth a light

Having a problem with another retailer.Seiko got back confirming they are not a Seiko dealer. I should now be able to get my money back on the credit card through charge back. Many thanks Seiko. Excellent customer service.

My Seiko watch was bought for me as a retirement present last year(2021). It was a self wind watch retailing at around £350. I returned the watch via the jewellers, as the time keeping was a little erratic. It was still within warranty. I had accidentally scratched the watch glass and bezel, however the watch had had no rough treatment at all.
Seiko considered the watch had been dropped and required £130 to repair, (estimate only, not a firm price) plus £30 to replace the glass. (I acknowledge that payment for the glass was required).
I consider that the watch is not fit for purpose, as it would seem incapable of supporting the day to day activities of an active person. I am not repairing the watch, as I will forever be concerned that the slightest knock will cause repeat failure. I will revert to my 30 year old Tissot watch which has given no problems, other than the need to replace a scraped glass.
My advice is that a Seiko auto wind watch should only be considered for purchase if it will be treated with kid gloves. Oh, it also took Seiko over 10 weeks to come to this conclusion.
