I purchased the 5-Piece Japanese Master Chef Knife Set and overall the set looks great, feels solid, and cuts really well right out of the box. It’s definitely a big upgrade from your average kitchen knives — sharp, well-balanced, and nice enough to leave out on display. The handles feel comfortable and the blades have that premium look everyone likes.
That said, it’s not a super high-end Japanese set, so you’ll need to hone and care for the knives to keep them performing their best. For the price though, it’s honestly a really good deal — stylish, sharp, and perfect for everyday cooking.

The chef’s knife I purchased is absolutely amazing. Holds its sharpness and glides through the component with ease Wonderful product.

Sharpest knife in the business. The look and feel of knife while cutting is in a class of its own. I will definitely purchase again

I got the 17 piece set for my mom who's been a sort of cook for decades and she is just over the moon for them. They even gave out freebies which was nice. Not too bad at all for the price it feels like a steal - about 3 months in and lookin' good! will update this review in a few months just to see if the knvies hold up

I bought the 17 piece Damascus wood block set. Description says high quality Damascus steel. Nope. It's lazer etched. Second in the description is razor sharp. Wrong again. The only way to talk to someone is through email. They did offer to let me return. Is was going to cost over $100 to return item. I paid someone to sharpen the knives and he told me I was wasting my time sharpening them.

I love this company never had to deal with customer service with them until now and it’s sad.
Paid:150 for a cleaver I am not the proud owner of 2 defective cleavers and they issued me a 20 dollar refund. I unfortunately now don’t feel safe ordering with them ever again
Everyone understand both the replacement and the original were equally trash. So them saying “ we made it right” they in fact did not and told me to that the clear defects were part of the “pattern” they are just lucky that don’t let me post photos.

My daughter , while playing with my phone ordered a bunch of knives. Later on , i got an email confirming the order. After the initial shock , I immediately contacted them and explained what had occurred and they refunded my card and stopped the shipment. On interesting note, i had been on their website and found their knives to be extremely fairly priced and of excellent quality. Apparently , my 5 year old agreed too! lol.

Often you get one or the other—here you get both. Gorgeous and effective.

Bought the Epokishi Gyuto knife as a birthday gift for my husband. He’s a serious foodie and was in awe of the craftsmanship. The layered steel and green carbon handle are just... wow. He uses it daily, and I’m secretly planning to get the rest of the set.

Advertised as a Canadian company. Bought a set of knives but it ships from L Vegas so I get charged import duties of >$200. Why, as a Canadian, I purchase from a "Canadian" company but get charged import duites?
Unless it's hidden in the small print somewhere inconspicuous, it is unfair to have this extra charge sprung on customers.
Upon requesting a refund, this is their answer: "We completely understand your concern. Customer service is horrible. If you want a refund you'll have to pay for shipping, and on top loose 20% restocking fee. Never again will I buy from them. There are other companies that are way better in that regard. Shop around!

Worst knives for price EVER!!
I ordered 2 cleaver knives, they mentioned they are "the sharpest knives ever". After receiving, they were the dullest knives I've ever had, and they said I needed to sharpen them myself and it's a safety issue to send sharp knives LOL. Don't shop here, reviews on the website seem like all made up!

I never understood why people spend money on premium knives until now. This has completely changed how I prep and cook.

The awabi knife is stunning, but more importantly. it performs. The balance is perfect, and it slices through everything effortlessly.

Purchase two sets of the Damascus steak knives last summer. They look beautiful. We purchase these for special occasions and not daily use. I recently discovered that. 3/8 of the knives have a crack in the exact same spot at the front of the handle where it is the thinnest.
I reached out to customer service as two of these knives have never been used and they told me that basically there’s nothing they can do since warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. And that damages have to be reported within the first 30 days. I am extremely disappointed as these knives were very expensive. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Half my knives have cracked handles and I’m now forced to try and superglue them together because the company refuses to acknowledge a poorly manufactured product.

I have been saving up for several months to order these knives. I have had my eyes on for quite a while, and I was very excited when I finally got a chance to place my order. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment on my knives finally arrived. I don’t know about you but when you’re paying several hundred dollars for knives you’re expecting quality craftsmanship or at least I do. The blades themselves are flawless. Whoever is in charge of the woodworking side of things is either a rookie or doesn’t care about their job. Half of my handles are scratched up with what looks like sandpaper that was too corse and a couple of them have spots of cross scratching where they ran the paper against the grain and that is very upsetting to the eye. The butcher block isn’t even sanded down in some spots and looks like it was damaged. They just threw in some wood filler, then stained over it, hoping nobody would notice. When I brought up this issue with the company, I suggested just replacing the damaged products as it wasn’t the entire set. It was maybe only half of the pieces. Instead, they put me in a corner and gave me two options. Option one I can return the entire product at full cost to myself meaning after everything is said and done I have no product and I am over $100 in the hole (with a 20% restocking fee for the damaged product!!!) Second option is if I wish to keep the knives they could offer me $100 credit for the inconvenience. I decided to keep the knives not very happy about it, but it just seemed like the better option of the two because at least I have something to show for my money even if it looks awful. Please think twice about using this company because it is clear to me that all they offer is frustration and headaches.

Sorry. After reading numerous complaints about
customer service and warranty, I will not buy the
damascus knife set, nor do business with the company
Past business with complaints concerning customer service are red flags. Sorry, I'm out

Company does not warranty their products. Had the knives less than 90 days and one of the tips broke off. Only used once to slice smoked brisket. Company refuses to warranty a clearly faulty products. Buyer beware.
