They deducted money from my bank account without informing me long after I was using their service. Beware they are robbers. I thought it was a good service when I was using it.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I pay monthly for filters that I never received, yet they keep charging me. Their customer service is horrible and they are very rude. They’ve refused to ship out my filters to me but are also refusing to refund me. They won’t cancel their subscription even though they’re either unable or unwilling to fulfill the order. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the BBB and plan to do so with the attorney general because they are refusing to respond to me and have not fulfilled the order. Be aware!! This is a fraudulent company.

I am currently doing this waste of time…

I am currently doing this waste of time it is unrealistic in most of everything it portrays the recipes are totally out of most people’s reaches and I’ve never heard of most of these vegetables pulses etc and I work in a supermarket!! If I had realised it was just an app I would have saved the nhs at least 1 registration . I’ve actually gained weight as it’s made me feel so much worse about myself . One size does not fit all . It goes on about exercise and pushing yourself but what it didn’t take in to consideration is people’s difficulties with health and the fact that some people work full time !! If I had to pay for this myself I would be asking for my money back!!

My experience with Second Nature…Far below market compensation / Stay away from joining the CS Team

My experience with Second Nature (formerly FilterEasy) was far from positive. While the company positions itself as a fast-growing, employee-focused organization, the reality doesn’t match the messaging—especially when it comes to compensation.

The salary is significantly below market, even for entry- to mid-level roles. Despite offering responsibilities comparable to better-paying companies, Second Nature does not compensate employees in a way that reflects their workload or industry standards. There’s a noticeable disconnect between what they expect from employees and what they provide in return.

Professional growth feels limited, and the low pay makes it hard to view the role as a long-term career move. If you’re looking for a company that values its people, rewards performance fairly, or provides competitive compensation, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Renters Insurance Incompetence

We opt to use our own renters insurance, but our Property Management Company Home River pushes renters into a plan with their partner-scammers Second Nature. In order to opt out we must submit our alternate renters insurance certificate (fine) but they WON'T PROCESS it.
They asked for proof in September - I submitted it and they said it was approved.
Then they asked again two months later in November since that was when my policy was renewing. Fine, but WHY did you ask for it back in September?
They won't process it. I have submitted it twice and I am still being charged for their renters which I don't want, and have proof of alternate (better) coverage with USAA. And they LIED about receiving the correct certificate, which honestly infuriates me more than anything. I HAVE proof in an email. Admit you dropped the ball, but don't LIE. Not ok, even my child knows better.

It is a SCAM

This is a scam designed to separate renters from their money while providing no benefit. It is a SCAM. If any landlord attempts to force you to renew or sign a lease with this company, DO NOT DO IT. They will charge you 4x the price of filters, they will charge you for services you've already long had, they will charge you for services that you actively DO NOT WANT. Pitchforks are too good for these people

Reply from Second Nature

Hello Kendra,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Just to clarify—Second Nature partners directly with property managers, not residents, so we don’t manage billing, lease terms, or service decisions for tenants.

That said, we take insurance compliance seriously because it protects both residents and property managers in the event of an emergency. In your case, we did receive a submission in November, but it couldn’t be processed because it wasn’t sent in the correct format as requested. A follow-up email was sent asking for a corrected version, but no further documents were received.

While we don’t make decisions on lease terms, we do work hard to support a smooth process. If your property manager has any questions about your coverage or setup, our team is always happy to work with them directly.

The website for this apartment building…

The website for this apartment building is absolutely terrible. It’s all automated, with no access to actual customer support or real people. Every time I’ve needed help or clarification, I get stuck with endless robot responses that don’t solve anything. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with, especially when something important like my insurance keeps getting rejected, and I can’t get a real person to assist me.

If you’re dealing with anything urgent or need personalized help, don’t expect any support. The system is completely impersonal and adds a lot of unnecessary stress. I’ve been a long-time resident, but I can’t believe how unhelpful this website is. It’s like you’re just another number in their system.

Completely unprofessional and frustrating.

Overcharged and wont help me!

Forced to pay for this "resident's benefits package" through my lease. Second Nature insurance is a SCAM. Provided my own renters insurance and provided them with necessary documents. I have email proof that my policy was "verified and approved" and that the charge was removed from the package yet they continued charging me! I had to do the whole process again and have proof that their company made a mistake yet they wont correct help me or fix it. I get their system made a mistake, yet they refuse to help me get my money back. Not to mention they only communicate through email and not over telephone. AVOID AVOID AVOID IF POSSIBLE.

Didn't send filters or set up utilities effectively

I had to set up some utilities myself after finding that they hadn't been set up after several days after requesting them. The promised filter service didn't bother asking what size filter my rental uses until I asked why my filter was late. They had two months to reach out while taking money from me through my landlord. Even then, they took another week to send it, even though they knew it was overdue. I asked why they never reached out to me or my landlord, and they didn't bother to reply. They got a second star for getting me a better deal for my Internet than I had had previously.

Well this is now the third time getting…

Well this is now the third time getting damaged air filters. I had them switch to DHL delivery but now I'm back to Fedex. A simple fix would be to have FRAGILE or HANDLE WITH CARE on their boxes and I received my email notice for tracking on July 24th and just received my DAMAGED air filters on August 12th. So 19 days later and now I'm waiting again for replacement air filters. Who knows how long that will take and I'm so allergic to dust. Responsive but poorly run company. USE THE WORDS FRAGILE or HANDLE WITH CARE on your air filter boxes!!

Ordered April 1,2024 never received my item or an update confirming my item have me worried. It’s been 3 weeks and I can’t even contact anyone. When I click the contact us link the page is always down. I don’t know what’s going on but I’ll just go to the store and buy one because I need it and they’re taking too long. This isn’t how I want to start off with a delivery company so I’ll cancel this asap this weekend. Thanks for nothing
