You can never talk to anybody in…
You can never talk to anybody in Customer service. They only tell you to go read their policies. After purchasing $295 worth of flooring and needing to return it. It cost me $95 to return and then they charged me $210 to restock it. And refunded me $25 I could’ve almost kept the flooring for cheaper than what it was to send it back. Don’t ever buy from this company. They’re an absolute joke.
My Seadek is less than 6 months old and…
My Seadek is less than 6 months old and its shrinking and becoming un attached from the boats deck. This was a brand new boat that it was applied to and the warranty department says its due to light amplification but cannot prove that and cannot prove that the product was defective as well. If it was due to light amplification like they say, they should only sell their products in cold places!
Two vessels…never again!
I have had two vessels that I had Sea Dek (Castaway Customs) install full deck covering. The first was a 50’ Sea Ray Sundancer, and the second was a 60 Hatteras MY. The Sea Ray was problem free, very happy over the four years we had the boat. When we bought the Hatteras we had a $20K+ installation. After a couple years, we had a full replacement under warranty. Still no problem with anything. Now a year later, I cannot get anyone to send me a 6” round piece to complete the installation. And over the last year they have sent (4) 8” pieces to correct the 6” that’s is missing. You will never be able to speak to a manager, supervisor, or anyone who can solve a problem. The corporate office had women answering the phones to insulate the management. (Hiding behind the phone answering people) Bottom line customer service is a joke. They want to put everything on the installation companies. Sea Dek owns Castaway Customs. I remember when they bought the company, they fired all of the good installers and people I had great relationships with. From what I heard, they were fired without any concerns for their wellbeing. That’s not how you run a good company. I will NEVER use their products again. Too many other good alternatives.
I purchased Seadek for my 27-foot boat…
I purchased Seadek for my 27-foot boat on 8/8/22. Today is 8/1/25. We just took the boat out and 80% of the shit is flying around the boat. It is obvious the glue has given way. While it has been 3 years, this boat is sheltered inside and has 105 hours on it. In other words, we have VERY LITTLE usage.
So I called John Prosceno who installed it for me in Brunswick GA. This is where the BS starts with this product and company.
John is a very nice guy. He obviously screwed up my installation but he is a nice guy. Or does this shit only stay down for 36 months????? Good question!
I told him about my problem and he told me to bring it to him and he would warranty it. Sounds good, right? The problem is, the boat is in Destin, FL, I'm in Atlanta and John is in Brunswick. In other words, it would be a 2000-mile trip for me to get a few ounces of glue. I ain't doing that and neither would you.
So I figured, I'll call Seadek headquarters and SURELY, there is someone in Destin/FT Walton that can glue this shit back down for me??????????? NOPE. Here is the REAL DEAL and how Seadek screws us.
Don't do what I did. I bought my Seadek where I bought my boat thinkiing they were a National company. They are not and they don't tell you that. If you have a problem, you are stuck with your INDEPENDENT installer. Seadek won't do shit to help you! So if you are going to move your boat from where you have this shit installed, wait. Wait until you get it where you are going to keep it.
Honestly, I will never buy Seadek again. Their Florida headquarters literally told me I am SOL unless I want to trailer the boat 2000 miles. We are talking about a can of glue and a few hours labor. The deck is already cut already cut?????????? It would take 1/3 day to fix this. They will not do it.
There are a lot of other products out there. I thought Seadek was the best, they are not!!!!!
Buyer beware!!!!!!!!
I would like to give zero stars
I would like to give zero stars! For 2 months now they have my money and I have NOT received my order! I have called three times and I am told the order will ship end of the week or beginning of next! They will never let you speak to a “manager”. Never again! They are POS!
Very slow shipping
Very slow shipping. After waiting 2 weeks, I received an incorrect order, 3 items correct, 3 items incorrect. Went through warranty process with photos and sales confirmation. I will return the incorrect items but now have to wait another 2 weeks for the ones I ordered.
They need to use packing lists.
Order hasn't shipped
I was told by a friend that this is the brand to go with for padded decking. I wouldn't know though. I placed my order about three weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped. I emailed customer service to see what was going on. They did get back to me within a day to let me know they had reached out to the retail sales team and would get back to me when they had an update. No word yet. I guess I won't hear back if they don't get an update? Web site now says orders may be delayed because of a high volume of sales. This seems excessive though. I only ordered three blank sheets of material. There are a lot of reviews sharing similar difficulties.
Update. Received an email saying there was no known fulfillment date. I canceled my order online and received a full refund about a week later. Two stars for timely responses.
Lousy service from seadek
Lousy service from seadek. After installation 2 pieces bubbled and were replaced and now multiple pieces have failed. Applied for warranty and they say it’s caused by light amplification. So you make a product for boats that doesn’t perform when exposed to light - what a joke !!!!
Seadek adhesive issue
Purchased boat new with SeaDek already installed on transom. Within 2 years, 1 piece lost adhesion and peeled up. SeaDek said they would not cover any adhesive issues.
DISASTER!DATE RAPE DRUGS SERVED!!!!

The worst new year eve I have ever had , avoid this company , they have drugged my husband because I have complained about drinks being mixed and put back into the bottles …NYE party I they will squeeze you in like a sardines, you will chase the food all night because they serve mostly vip tables … YOU WII HAVE TO STAND FOR 6 HOURS! No place to seat ! What a nightmare it was … worse of all they say you get glass of Moët…. What a joke they have glasses saying it’s a Moët but they poor the cheapest sparkling wine the have … not to mention you are going to be served drinks that have been collected before from the tables and put back onto the bottle… don’t waste your money … I would rather queue from 6am to stay in best possible place ! What a waste of money and time , they have ruined my dream of spending NYE IN Sydne, the staff is very rude grumpy … guess because the have to work on that day!!!!!
I have had SeaDek on 4 different boats…
I have had SeaDek on 4 different boats (up to 38') over the last 15 years. It has been a great product with great service up until recently. I had a 17' Sterling done last year and on my last fishing trip I lost a large floor section and poling platform piece going down the highway. I recovered the floor piece, but could not locate the platform piece, however the floor piece will no longer adhere to the floor. I put in a claim with SeaDek (3 year warranty) and they denied it. This used to be a wonderful privately owned company with great product and service. After changing hands a few time, I guess it is now just another profit driven corporation. Disappointing....used to be such a great company.
Safe and Stylish
The kids used to slip getting in and out of the water, but now they have great traction. The soft padding makes it a lot more comfortable for sitting or standing after swimming. I feel much better knowing we have a safer surface for everyone to use.
Transformed My Boat
I decided to replace my boat’s old flooring, and I couldn’t be happier. The boat looks completely different—more modern and clean. The comfort underfoot is incredible, especially when we’re out all day. It’s also easy to clean. The custom design I chose really adds a personal touch to the boat, and everyone who comes onboard notices how great it looks. Their flooring has totally transformed my boat.
SeaDek warranty failings
Did you know that SeaDek only warranties the closed cell foam and not the adhesive. When the
adhesive comes up and the SeaDek material flaps
around, they do not consider it a failure of their product and do not warranty it within the three year timeframe that they promise. I used a SeaDek approved installer and only used SeaDek approved cleaning products. My adhesive failed in less than two years. This product is way too expensive to only last a year and a half
I would like to share my experience…
I would like to share my experience with SeaDek and the companies that get your boat prepared for SeaDek like blueseas fabrication. I had my boat worked on in Pittsburgh California, where they are a representative also of SeaDek. The book was there for 4 1/2 months when they told me it was gonna be done within a month so basically all summer we had lot of issues with this company getting the boat prepared, and there was always an excuse after excuse on why the boat wasn’t done yet. The problem is every time I went there. Nobody was working on my boat. Then the representative for SeaDek kept giving me excuses why it’s not done yet. Going back-and-forth for 4 1/2 months is a joke. I still paid top dollar for a horrible job. I even got in contact with SeaDek and spoke to who he said was the CEO, explain to him my frustration and Went nowhere. I got my boat back with pieces of the flooring still missing and a box of missing bolts that were not installed back on my boat as well as brackets that they said they don’t know where it goes to. SeaDek is a company that does not stand behind their product. It doesn’t seem that they’re worried about their customer feedback as well. I would never recommend this company to anybody or the people that they have working for them to set up a boat for SeaDek. I am still waiting for some of my SeaDek material to be measured the right way, since the first time I got my SeaDek material it was measured to about 75/80% of the true measurement which is too small. Again, what a joke. If you need foam flooring, go try gator step I also heard they have better customer service way better than SeaDek. I’m really in shock that this company is still around.
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service!! I called them, I called their dealers, I emailed them just to get a quote and spend some money with them. Couldn’t get a call back or anyone to answer their phone. It’s ridiculous stay away from this joke of a company!!
Customer service is a ghost town.
Ordered $265 worth of IN STOCK accessories. Cooler pads, hook retainers, roll of raw material, etc. nothing custom made.
Order was placed on 6/28. It is currently 7/11, and order status is still processing. Emails have been ignored, custom service is non existent. Multiple attempts have been made to contact a representative and I have even been “disconnected” over the phone. Avoid this company.
Sea Dec Company a huge disappointment
I had Sea Dec installed, by them, on my boat a year ago. It looked really good and I was told if you have any problem at all call us, we stand by our product.
Recently I noticed that in a couple of places the edges were pulling up and in one spot there was a small piece broken off where it was coming up.
So I called, representative took all the info and said someone will be in touch. 3 weeks goes by and I call again, and told "Oh that warranty request was denied". I was given a weak reason and asked for a supervisor. She spouted off a similar response, which no sense. She said she would bring the issue back to the management team and see if they wanted to do something to remedy the situation.
10 days no call, rep says he will get a message to the person I spoke to and said she would call within 24 hours. # days no call.
If you thinking Sea Dec, think alternative.
Peeling and bubbling!
If I could give this product a negative rating I would and the company does not stand by their product. I have been warned prior to submitting my warranty claim that there is an adhesive problem with their product. This is obvious and I wish I could submit pictures. I bought my Seadek 14 months ago and it is already peeling/bubbling in multiple locations. they told me it doesn't appear to be covered under warranty. Apparently, its an installation issue, not covered under warranty. The only problem with this is Seadek installed the product. Honestly, stay away from the product. Its going to cost over $15k to have this product professionally removed and new decking installed.
terrible product and worse customer service. Buyer beware do not use.

When you look at the 5* reviews they are from people who just had it installed. I would have also given a 5* review THAT DAY. look at 12 months later. All those reviews are negative. Don’t waste your money. Terrible product.
