# About Scoopies At Scoopies, we believe dessert should leave you smiling long after the last spoonful. We're a family-owned frozen yoghurt and dessert bar in Hervey Bay, built on the idea that great businesses can make a real difference to the people around them. Like many family businesses, Scoopies wasn't created from a business plan. It was created from a deeply personal goal. As a proudly neuro-spicy family, we know that everyone's strengths look different. When we started thinking about our son's future, we wanted more than somewhere for him to work. We wanted him to have purpose, confidence, independence and a place where he felt valued for who he is. When we couldn't find the kind of workplace we hoped for, we decided to create one. That decision became Scoopies. From day one, our goal has been to build more than a frozen yoghurt shop. We wanted to create a welcoming space where kindness comes first, individuality is celebrated and every team member has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Today, Scoopies has become so much more than we ever imagined. It's where families celebrate milestones, friends catch up over dessert, kids create their dream frozen yoghurt, and our team builds confidence and valuable life skills in a supportive environment. Every swirl, topping and smile across the counter represents the values we started with: community, inclusion, respect and genuine hospitality.
