Very poor administrative service. They will not refund you because of automatic payment even if you cancel on the very day they charge you. For me, this is a red flag. They are the only company I know, who will not work with their customers regardless of how unhappy they are with the services they provide. And they are the only company I know who will not do refunds because a customer forgot to cancel the subscription the day before.
All the negative comments below me are true.
- translations, video and audio are of poor quality
- process are not shown in most courses
- more talking than demonstrations
- and yes YOU CANNOT DELETE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION on the billing section like they said on the comment below me, because I tried. So yes, they are keeping your data because if not, you will be able remove your credit card information on the billing section like they claimed.
On the good note:
- they have a stellar cast of chefs
I tried reaching out to them but like I said, they will not work with you regardless of reasons. There goes my $100 down the drain. It sucks, but this is my experience with them. Very shady…

It is a great experience because it has different types of recipes given by professional chefs and the results are always like the ones in the video. I also liked the idea of the certificate it’s really great.

There are way too many mistakes in the english translation. The automatic voice dub is horrible also. The quizes are pointless.
The content is very good though.

The material is currrent and interesting, and I was able to use it for my projects

Easy to follow, great options to download recipes. Bite size lessons, some a little too basic but generally good. The actual hands on videos are excellent

Yes this company is doing well by spreading knowledge and molding new chefs for the industry.

The contents, the lessons, are pretty good, I've tried several of them and keep being interested. However my opinion is that you have several things to improve:
- The renewal process is not streamlined. You must query your customer first and if they agree to renew, start the process
- I don't understand how can you not supply a functionality to erase credit card. As per GDPR you must provide a means to change and erase personal data. To this day I haven't figured out how to do it except asking someone by e-mail.
- Related to the above, there seems to be 2 different sites one for Spain and another one for international customers, with different customer information, credit cards, and even courses.
- I started doing some courses in the Spanish site that have gone missing, it seems, and I also can't find them in scoolinary.net
- Do courses expire and are removed from your sites? Why are there different courses in .net and .com? If I want to see a course that only exists in .com why do I have to subscribe (again) to this site? Aren't you the same company?
- The english legends in .net courses are terrible, the translation is poor.

The course shows mainly process but details and skills are lacking. Also the video cut into small pieces which is not convenient to watch. If that is one video with break point titles would be much better, i don't have to keep pressing the button for continuing watching
I like the courses with creative title

Gave this as a gift but it is registered under my email and I am getting all the information. Not seeing how to change it to my husband's email as he is the user

The way is presented it seems there will be a lot of content per class but each segment is super short, so when it say a class has 14 lesson, the lessons will range from 1 to 6 minutes max.

The photos on the website are extremely visually appealing and it's what made me pay $59.90 subscription fee.
The robotic translation to English, the separation into chapters and the music used was a huge disappointment. It's too annoying to use the platform. There are so many culinary videos made by nice engaging humans available on youtube for free.

Reply from Scoolinary
Some of the content is good, but there are also recipes like the ones you can find for free online. Definitely not worth the annual subscription fee in my opinion.
Also, the renewal charge is being done automatically to your card, without prior notice in my case and with no chance of refund, so be extra careful to cancel your subscription as soon as you pay the first time, otherwise you risk to be billed heavily (around 100 euros) and upfront, for something that you haven't used for months and not going to use in the future…

Content isn’t homogeneous: some videos are really properly made, others aren’t.
The format is a bit annoying too. Having three videos for one recipe really breaks the dynamic. Maybe it would be interesting for the schools art team to review what Cheflix or YesChef do with their videos in terms of filming and duration of the videos because honestly the chefs on scoolinary are great and deserve to have their content to be broadcasted in a more professional + agréable way.
