Bought a pair of Scarpa spin st direct from Scarpa
Tried them on and they are far too narrow and hurt my feet
I've sent them back but they've refused to refund my money as I've wore the shoes
Surely you have to try them before you know how the are going to feel
Buyers beware.

I have several pairs of scarpa hiking,walking and mountaineering shoes and they are without doubt an excellent make, I cannot believe the negative reviews!!

I wish I could post a photo. When hiking in Dolomites, I caught a heel on a rock and the whole sole detached from the shoe. This meant I had a very tricky decent with no grip on one boot, and I was lucky to make it down without injury.

I have tried to contact their customer services several times, but no one ever responds.

Really poor form a so-called premium brand.

Scarpa Rush Trx right shoe leaked on a few days walking the West Highland Way in Aug 24 (my shoes were only few months old).

Scarpa didn't reply to my warranty email and online forms. So, I went back to Go Outdoors, who exchanged for some Meindl's.

Very poor on Scarpa, but excellent GO Outdoors customer service sorted me out.

I have a pair of Scarpa Mescalito's, hopefully these will last longer, but Scarpa not bothering to reply to any emails means I won't be buying their products anytime soon, based on my recent experience.

Let’s start with the positives, I had a pair of Scarpa GTX boots that i wore daily walking the dog. They got wet daily and dried in a warm location. The leather dried and cracked. Naturally I assumed this was my fault so I purchased another pair. They are very comfortable and give good grip and ankle protection so a good boot on that basis. After each walk I left the boots in a cool place to dry and I waxed weekly to maintain the leather. 2 years later and they have cracked and the leather has broken and the gortex no longer stops my feet from getting wet. These aren’t cheap boots and I certainly won’t be getting another pair as you expect a quality boot to last a lot longer - my friends cheap boots are 5 years and still going strong. Have just switched to Meindl (similar price / slightly more than Scarpa) which appear superior, even more comfortable and so far more versatile although too soon to see if the suffer the same as these Scarpa GTX boots

Received my third pair of Scarpa Cyrus GTX yesterday and they will be going straight back. The quality of these shoes has declined so much, that I thought I had been sent a pair of knock offs. The soles are plastic and too hard, the leather looks cheap and nasty and there are puckers on the instep where they have been poorly stitched together. I still have my first pair after ten years, a little shabby now, but still worn in the garden. The new ones are simply cheap tat. Very disappointing Scarpa.

Whilst on a through hike in Spain, my Scarpa walking shoes began to fail where the sole meets the toe box. Fortunately they survived the journey over the following three weeks. On return I returned my shoes to Scarpa, who without hesitation replaced the shoes. My experience is that they honoured their commitment as a quality brand, their customer service along with Cotswolds Outdoor was excellent.

Purchased Scarpa Cyrus mid GTX in July 2023, the stitching split by March the following year, the retailer replaced them FOC, the stitching has just gone again , 5 months. The retailer after some discussion replaced them again, but at £160/180 you would expect better, not good value.

Scarpa walking boots that are not fit for purpose as the heals have come away on both boots after a relatively short time. Have sent the boots back through Cotswold Outdoors where they were purchased and there response was very unsatisfactory. I have taken them today to have them repaired and the cobbler explained that they are not repairable as the rubber used in the heel is so perishables that it is falling to apart. After approx 250 miles walking in them I expected better.

I bought a pair of Scarpa boots and the soles literaly fell off after about 200 miles worth of walking. As they were out of warranty they told me there was nothing they could do and a proffesional boot repair company said the soles had deteriorated so badly they couldn't repair them. Worse boots I've ever had.

I contacted Scarpa as I had some walking boots that I loved but had them less than 2 years and they were no longer waterproof as the stitching had come loose. They arranged for me to send them to them for testing and within 2 weeks I received a brand new pair. I’m very impressed with the customer service and turnaround. Would definitely continue to buy all my walking boots from them in the future now too

I have had my Scarpa walking boots for 9 years and one of the clips failed. Scarps arranged for free collection and repair and returned them to me as good as new. I cannot express how delighted I am with their product or service. I would recommend 100%. Thank you Scarpa. You have restored my faith in excellent customer service!

I have used Scarpa boots for many years and have rarely had any problems. When I had any issues, I have found their after care to be very good. They respond speedily and do their utmost to sort out the problem which they usually do in good time.

Bought pair of scarpa spirit-advertised as an urban shoe? Used them for casual wear and dog walking.
The sole worn out within 7 months-but the rest of the trainer was fine-
Contacted Scarpa UK and was told I bought the wrong shoe and I’m not intended for the pavement.

Scarpa Mens Cyrus Mid GTX. I’m sure most Scarpa boots are good these are comfortable but in my case simply are not waterproof despite regular cleaning & treating with the recommended waterproofer. My first pair was returned after a few weeks as my left foot was getting wet. They were exchanged but after even less time the replacement pair let in water & both feet were getting wet. The company examined them but said there was no fault, however water was still getting in . I can only assume it’s the stitching.

Possibly the most comfortable boots I've ever had. Unfortunately the stitching started to fray so I contacted them and very quickly they sent me a pre-paid means of returning them and yesterday I got a brand new pair of boots in the post. Great customer service.

Bought a pair of Scarpa Moraine GTX shoes, thinking expensive means comfortable. They are basically the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought for walking. A size larger than I would normally buy, I have stretched them both lengthways and widthways. A slight improvement. There is virtually no cushioning for the soles of your feet.
I had a pair of shoes half the price, and they were more comfortable. So basically don't waste your money. I have had the shoes for a year or so, so plenty of time to wear in. But no, still painfull. Some may say a wonderful shoe, not for me. I was taken in by the good reviews. Will look for a pair of mid price shoes in future.
They are now in the bin.

Over the years I have had around 6 pairs of Scarpa SL's . The first four were excellent and lasted years. Then I bought a new pair, still expensive but the quality was abysmal. The padding on the heel just came away providing no support. Then the inside seemed to start digging in to my heel .Very painful. I took them back and was given a new pair at the local shop but it has not taken too long for this pair to turn out exactly the same. What a shame. The originals were great. Avoid at all costs now!

B/S expensive Italian walking boots.

Bought a pair of Scarpa walking boots in Blacks in Brighton, £150. Worn for maybe 12 months and the soles were worn smooth, totally dangerous. Obviously I would not recommend buying these B/S expensive Italian walking boots. Shocking really.

(Boots bought before these were cheap Contour hiking boots and they lasted 12 years. I still have them, soles are great but the uppers cracked because I never polished or oiled them.)
