Read before you buy. Awful.

I purchased a Scanomat TopBrewer and discovered that Scanomat refuses to supply parts or perform repairs unless you sign up for an expensive annual contract. They are the only company capable of fixing their own machines — which leaves customers trapped.

When we asked for a simple one-off paid repair or to buy a replacement part, we were told “no” unless we joined their plan. That’s not customer service — it’s a monopoly over their own products.

The machine itself looks great, but the after-sales experience has been frustrating, controlling, and anti-consumer. If you’re considering Scanomat, think very carefully about what happens when something goes wrong — you might find yourself locked out of any reasonable repair options.

Never Buy TopBrew by Scanomat

We've now had the TopBrew by Scanomat for about a year and a half. It has had constant problems from the beginning. Error codes: Missing Beans, Lower Piston Error, Water flow issue, grinder issue. If there was any way to get our money back and buy a reliable machine I would be over the moon. Have called for service, but our rep is "at a show" and will get to us in the morning.

TopBrewer: terrible

Have had these at my work for about two years now - rarely work and poor quality (tea is always tepid). Wouldn’t recommend.

Costly Coffee Machine: Broken Promises and Poor Support

This coffee machine looked really fancy and promised great coffee, but it's been nothing but trouble. We shelled out a whopping 100k for it, expecting it to work perfectly. But within just two months, it broke down twice!

When I called customer support for help, they couldn't care less. They wouldn't give me a clear idea of when a technician would come to fix it. They just said someone would show up "sometime in the next 2 days" between 8 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Talk about vague!

Two days later, when nobody had shown up, I called again. But they had nothing to say except that all their technicians were busy. It's pretty clear that lots of other people must be having trouble with their coffee machines too.

If I could turn back time, I'd never buy one of these fancy coffee machines again. Don't be fooled by how good it looks—it's just not worth it.

To sum it up, I'd warn anyone thinking of buying this machine to think twice and look for something else.

Terrible machine, not worth it.

Terrible machine. We have used two of these machines and they've been so problematic. Not worth the price. We are all always calling in the engineer to fix it. The design must be poor.

Beware of buying coffeemachines from…

Beware of buying coffeemachines from this company!!!!
They don’t care to return their crappy machines when they once got your money. 6 months with this crappy machine. Always wants to try new funktions to prove the machine is working, but always with the same results: just new problems turns out.
Their ”premium” coffe tastes like crap. Hope they go bankruptsy soon before more companys buys this peace of crap!!!

Absolutely atrocious customer service…

Absolutely atrocious customer service ... High end coffee machine with very very low end customer service, and i mean very very low end , My machine and all its other components will be scrapped , and ive not even used it yet ... and for the price you pay for this stuff that tells you how bad it is. I shall video it being scrapped and put it on line, These machines are worthless if you don't get the customer service

Bad coffee and unfair maintenance contract

Machine (controlled via iPad) looks very sophisticated but coffee quality is terrible. Their maintenance contract ties you in for parts - even for something as simple as water filters, for which they charge around 200-300% above real retail prices - and coffee, which is not good and which they also sell at a premium.
Avoid.
