We have been using Saxoprint for many years now. They are, quite simply, the best. Very low cost, lightning turnaround, superb customer service. Brilliant. Wouldn't use anyone else.

It is too soon to ask me if I am satisfied, before I have received my order. Anyway from past experience with Saxoprint, the quality is good 70% of the time and not good (wrong colours, too dark or too light, blurred) 30% of the time

Sort out your courier DHL or I am leaving.

I am very disappointed in Saxoprint. I have been using this printing company for over 3 years. I have rated this company highly, see my previous reviews. Then rated mediocre. Today it saddens me I will have to rate them 1 star as I simply cannot trust a company that uses an appalling courier company like DHL. I feel the print quality from Saxoprint is really good quality but their choice of express courier is dragging this company down. Sadly I will have to request a refund.

UPDATE: Sadly nothing got sorted, no apology. I have since moved my contract to a different printing company. Been using them for 6 months and there is nothing to complain about.

I am surprised by the amount of bad reviews on Trustpilot. I have used for several years and had no issues. They cannot be touched on price, and as long as your artwork is good, then you will get a good product. I use Corel Draw X8 for my artwork. I'm no expert, but I have had excellent results with them.

Wish I read the other reviews before I ordered

Wow - what an awful experience.

First of all, my artwork was not to their exact size specifications, so rather than shrink it slightly they ask for another copy. Fine, redesigned it and sent it in. At least they check the artwork before they print it... or so I thought,

The second copy that I sent was apparently okay for printing, however when I received my order they had managed to cut off content on all sides, as well as some of the leaflets being curled up or creased due to the apparently- 130gsm paper being of absolutely awful quality.

Clearly there is no quality control process in place - how they thought it was acceptable to send out is beyond me.

I phoned customer service, to be told that I must email the complaints department in Germany who don't deal with people over the phone (apparently neither did the surly bloke I spoke to either).

They email back to offer a free reprint as it's my first order. No thanks, not after this experience I'll just have my money back, chuck the leaflets in the bin and call it a day.

They even have the audacity to say my artwork wasn't within their guidelines, with a 3mm bleed - they can't even be consistent in their advice to a decent print....

No such luck! They don't want to refund me. Luckily I paid via PayPal so I will go down this route to get my money back. But seriously, awful company -- wish I saw these revews before I ordered!

I'm sure that in a few days time there will be a response from the company below the review explaining that this is all my fault and their artwork guidelines are clear etc etc.... yet I've never had these issues with any UK based printing company. Normally I associate German companies with quality and efficency... but Saxoprint offer neither.

EDIT: As predicted, Saxoprint have replied below saying how this is my fault for not ordering their 'advanced artwork check'... i.e the service that every other printer offers for free, that they charge £14 for, and arguably forms an essential part of any printing service. Their "customer service" and "complaints" department (yes, they have a dedicated department to mishandling customer complaints) continue to be an absolute brick wall. I just asked for a simple refund as clearly they have no interest in doing things right so why would I trust them again?

Reply from SAXOPRINT

Dear Ash,
Thank you four your comment. First of all we do apologise for inconveniences caused. We have received and reviewed your complaint. After checking your data we realized that the text is placed too close to the edge. As you chose a standard artwork check, it does not include the check of this parameter. That is the reason why your complaint has been rejected. However, as it was your first order with us we offered you a goodwill reprint with a new, correct data. If you do not need the reprint we are happy to offer you a voucher code for your next order with us. Next time, we truly recommend you to go for a superior artwork check instead of standard one to make sure your artwork looks perfectly fine. Best regards, your team at SAXOPRINT

Avoid at all cost

Their customer service is non existent. After failing to supply correct artwork (they wouldn't help at all with advice) I cancelled my order only to find that cancellation fee was a third of what I originally paid for the order. Apparently this is the cost of artwork checking. They say artwork is wrong but never help you with advice to get it right. No wonder they have so many bad reviews. I wish I red these reviews before I placed an order.

Absolutely shocking!

Absolutely shocking! After the first time they cocked up an order and left our own company with nothing to distribute at a business expo, I vowed never to use Saxoprint again.

Three months on and due to a very tight deadline with one of our customers print jobs, I found myself with no option other than to try again... hey presto, yet another "production delay" leaving our client in the same predicament! Customer service have been less than confidence inspiring, offering, only on my demands to "see if it's possible to get the delivery upgraded to a 9am next day", but not confirming one way or the other. Two phone calls later and I'm still none the wiser as to if or when the order will arrive?

Never again!

UPDATE: Needless to say, the customer service rep at Saxoprint lied through his teeth, pandering to tell me what I wanted to hear rather than what I needed to hear. At 3am on the delayed delivery date, my parcel was still tracking in Germany, arriving at East Midlands airport later that morning. I contacted DHL who confirmed they had received no updates or upgrades to the delivery, but agreed to hold the package for me at their Liverpool depot. So began the 120 mile round trip to pick up & deliver the printing to my client at his exhibition.

On the plus side, Saxoprint accepted responsibility for the delay and offered me a "very special offer" which will be emailed to me in due course... looking at other reviews this will most likely be a 20% discount off my next order! .... Err, I don't think so thanks all the same!

I have made it clear in no uncertain terms, the invoice for this order will not be paid for!

Wrong order

Wrong order
A couple of weeks before Christmas I contacted Saxoprint to get some greetings cards printed. Unlike with any other company I have used, I had to go through discussions about what I wanted before they would print my order. When I received the delivery, I found they had sent me postcards instead of the greetings cards I was expecting. Since it was only about a week before Christmas, I had to go to the expense of getting another company to do the job (which they completed with no problem within 12 hours). I complained to Saxoprint, only to be told that they had fulfilled the order correctly. I requested a refund, but heard nothing more.

Terrible cards.

Terrible cards.

First thing i noticed, their website is a little questionable to navigate, due to this I had to call and ask a question.. The guy WAS nice on the phone and informed me their website is going to be redesigned in two weeks time (he is the reason I gave two stars). I can forgive a poorly designed website. What I can't forgive were the cheap business cards and terrible finish.

Most of the cards at the top and bottom were bent on arrival, peeling in the corner and creased. The cards are so bendy they could join a gymnastics team and perform in the Olympics.
I have photos of the damaged cards but I'm unable to post any.
and to top it off, the cards were suppose to be 400gsm, this wasn't the case. Very disappointing, I designed the cards for my friend and he chose the printers, he is now buying cards somewhere else.

It's really time-consuming process

It's really time-consuming process to get my flyers printed. There was no clarity on how I should layout my documents, really frustrating when you can't see a preview of how it would look like once it's printed. Booked my order once, paid for it and went to see the preview page (once I managed to find it) turns out the borders were not properly placed. If I had known this before I could have made a change to my document. Had to get a refund, didn't receive a full refund either. Very bad exprience.

i have tried to order printed envelopes

i have tried to order printed envelopes, please note I'm not an expert graphic designer, I was only looking for some text to be printed onto envelopes.
Saxoprint, gave me a temple size to fit in my design (250mm x 238mm)
My initial design (using powerpoint, as they have a DL size print template), once submitted my sizes were 241mm x 104mm, within the template sizes given, as is my understanding, rightly or wrongly, I'm not an expert, I thought is was contacting the experts.
I called them to get a better understanding of where I was going wrong and asked if they could help as this is not my area of expertise.
All that was repeated to me was you need to submit you artwork 250mm x 238mm, as I kept explaining my size was within there required sizes, can you help me understand why there is a problem, it was such a frustrating phone call, that I ended up just hanging up.
I stupidly then resubmitted my design, but this time it was too big......I just cancelled the order, the people on the phone are so unhelpful you wouldn't believe it....I will not use them again......awful company to deal with, oh yes and they charge you £9.60 for the privilege of you cancelling your order, even if your not satisfied with their service.

Excellent Service

We have been using SaxoPrint for about 6 years now and have always been happy with the quality of their products and the speed of print and delivery.
We would have no reservations to recommend them to other businesses.

shame you dont have a no star option

shame you dont have a no star option, as even 1 star is too much for this company

I placed an order with Saxoprint, for a client of mine that I designed some CD covers for. my client needed the quite urgently and Saxoprints website stated that the order placed will be delivered within 48 HRs, we paid an extra £40 for the speedy delivery, and selected a Gloss finish which was suitable for this work.
I received confirmation of everything and we were now waiting for the delivery of the order.
Monday 27th Ocober was when the order was to be delivered, nothing arrived by midday and i got in touch with saxoprint asking them for tracking information, they were unable to provided this as they stated that its not available and that I'm to just wait until end of day.i explained to them that i paid extra for a speedy delivery, to which the call operator basically rudely told me for the first time the order was coming from Germany and that i have to just wait and that was it.
I was also told once the order arrived i could claim back the additional i paid for the express delivery
in the meantime I had my client threatening to cancel the order at my end, because they had a deadline for this order.
The order finally arrived late on Tuesday afternoon. when we saw the work we were very disappointed with the quality and immediately complained by email, asking for a refund for the full order and we would send the work back.
They replied, asking for photo evidence, which we sent, but they fobbed us of with a 20% print voucher and no mention of the refund for the delivery

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Very cheap but terrible quality and not a user-friendly process at all. Uploading images for greetings cards took about ten attempts before they were accepted despite fitting perfectly with their provided templates. Orders took much longer to arrive than stated times. First order arrived with serious printing errors (wonky white lines at the edges of the front of the greetings cards! Looked horrendous!) but when I gave them a second chance the order arrived VERY pixelated (the images uploaded were good quality so this was unexpected) and in the wrong order!! There is also no way of changing images once they have been uploaded unless they get rejected by Saxoprint; the £2 PDF proof doesn't give any indication of size or colour or print quality so isn't worth doing; the website is not user-friendly at all - and the customer service is possibly the worst I've ever come across. KEEP AWAY.

All went well until …

All went well until the day the calendars arrived. It was a fairly smooth process up until that point. I ordered 250, and yet I opened the box to find 241 calendars. 241? Hmmm.

Well, I was quick to cast my concerns via email to the team at Saxoprint. Possibly naively, expecting them to replace the missing 9 at no extra cost to myself. Sadly not. They offered a refund of the 9 but because I had promised MY customers 250 calendars, I needed the full amount. Their excuse? In the T&Cs it apparently stated they find it acceptable if 10% of the order doesn't materialise. I do not.

So I'm out of pocket. If I ordered 9 more, I would pay a much higher rate per calendar because it's such a small order.

The 3 stars are for receiving good quality calendars but experiencing an average customer service.
