I had some reservations about a purchase like this, but Nicole reached out to me early and was consistently available for questions over the course of a week while I did my research. If there was some... See more

Great experience dealing with a company who stands behind their product and warranty.
ORDER #42330
The steam unit broke 1.5 months ago and despite 6 emails to customer service, no update on replacement unit.
No phone number available, just an unanswered email box.
UPDATED to include order number as there's no way to contact directly through phone (there's no saunabox service line) or reply to request via trustpilot.
2ND UPDATE
They have now sent out a replacement unit (months after the initial request was made) and asking us to pay the 30$ customs fee.
I'm unclear as to why, on top of the inconvenience of having a brand new unit break and be unusable for 3 months, I'm now charged to make the product I paid for (which is well under warranty) usable again.
When I brought this to their attention, they replied saying it's customs and not shipping, so it's on me.
Be warned. Buy elsewhere.
Based on other reviews I'm expecting the steam unit to break again, and for them to either run out the clock on replying while it's sill under warranty, or again having to shell out another 30$ for a shoddy product.
I wish I had purchased elsewhere.

Received my chiller box and opened it up and to start, water came out of one of the outtake valves. This concern me, but I continue to hook it up and follow the directions. Nothing worked, and I went through all of the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting advice that the website had given. Even went above and beyond, but cannot get the motor working. The fan will not turn on and it will not cool and it appears that the motor is seized up. it has been nearly 4 days and have reached out with two different phone calls and three different emails without anybody reaching back out. I am a business owner who was hoping to utilize this as part of my business. Minimally, I am not able to do my cold plunge. Very disappointed in the customer service and possibly in the machines that are being sent out. Also, the directions and program that was sent out with was put together poorly and served no help at all.

Bought it last week. Set it up and wow! However, after only using 5x the steam generator stopped totally. Customer service is less than a joke. Overpriced and no better than $125-$159 similar boxes from Home Depot, Walmart, etc. Make sure it is returnable because the steamers break very often.

SaunaBox steamer broke within 30 days of normal use. It has been over 2 months, and I still have no replacement steamer. I honestly don't expect this company to be around much longer, and I have come to terms with the fact that I will not be receiving my replacement shipment, which has apparently been shipped over a month ago. I live in the U.S., if that helps. Just avoid this company. The most critical component is poorly manufactured in China. Just look at the markings on the internal wiring. SaunaBox cares more about money than delivering quality products and replacement parts. I see I am not alone.
EDIT: Funny enough, the replacement steamer arrived the day I posted this. However, none of the promised items for my troubles were delivered at this time. One star still stands, and this company's reputation is beyond saving, in my opinion. I will not be recommending this product to anyone.
EDIT 2: I respectfully decline and will not be providing you my email address, Saunabox. Thank you.

I would not recommend Sauna Box. The product is defective, and the company is poorly managed.
Like many others have noted, the steamer unit is prone to failure. Mine stopped working just 11 days after I received it. I submitted a warranty claim three weeks ago, and as of now, a replacement still hasn’t shipped. It's unacceptable to pay for a product you can't use, especially when the company knows this is a recurring issue.
What’s more concerning is the company’s broader operations. It appears overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the volume of defective units. Rather than pausing to address quality control, they continue aggressively marketing the product on social media, seemingly prioritizing growth over customer satisfaction. This creates a self-perpetuating problem: more units sold, more defects, more replacement requests and longer delays for everyone.
There are also signs of questionable business practices. The warranty was quietly reduced from two years to one, which raises red flags. Customer service is extremely difficult to reach, after navigating through an AI chatbot, you're lucky to get a sporadic response from a human representative. Additionally, their website manipulates the reviews and appears to only post reviews they accept. The lack of transparency and accountability is troubling.
At this point, the company's actions, or lack thereof, warrant further scrutiny. Founders Sean Morrissey and Nolan Kahal are scaling a business without delivering a reliable product or support. That’s not just bad customer service; it’s unethical.
Until they address the fundamental flaws in their product and operations, I cannot in good conscience recommend Sauna Box to anyone.
Do not buy this product.

The Saunabox was great while it worked, relaxing and easy to use. Unfortunately, the steam unit broke within three months. It took two months and many emails to finally get a replacement.
Customer service said the delay was due to logistics issues. They also promised a replacement mat and eucalyptus cleaning kit, but never sent them.
Great concept, but poor quality and unreliable service. I wouldn’t recommend it!
Idea is great, but based on my own experience, and the hundreds of other posts I've read, the steamer units are clearly defective and WILL break within months.
I'd generally read good things about prompt replacements of the units under warranty, but unfortunately, I've also read that the replacements die out as quickly as the originals, and in our case, it's been well over a month since the last time anyone has provided an update on our replacement.
Sadly, I'd honestly advise anyone to avoid doing business with Saunabox - just not worth the trouble, especially given the cost. Especially unfortunate, as the whole idea is to destress and relax, when they're directly to blame for the exact opposite effect.
Saunabox works great so far. First shipment was lost in the mail even though the plungebox was received in a reasonable amount of time. Saunabox did send a replacement Saunabox but it took a couple months and many emails back and forth to figure things out, I just wanted contact with an actual person but kept getting AI responses.
Be aware that customs charge about $120 CAD for the saunabox when delivering to Canada...I had to pay this twice because of the first lost shipment.
I should have went with recover, contacted customer service about see through window issues and haven’t heard back from them
I'm seeing a very common theme in the reviews as my steamer unit also stopped heating after several months. After contacting their customer service they are refusing to offer a refund and are unable to provide a replacement via the warranty as of yet. I have reached out continuously since January 14th, 2025 to begin the process for a warranty replacement and they continually delay the shipping every 3 weeks. They now have resorted to completely ignoring my email follow-ups for any update regarding this and it is currently been over 3 MONTHS since I've reached out regarding the defective steamer.
After ordering the sauna and the ice plummet bucket the only thing, I have received was the sauna. Its been ridiculous trying to get through to an actual person to fix this issue. I have sent multiple emails and still no response

After initially buying (and LOVING) our new Saunabox, our honeymoon is officially over.
We simply have had an issue with a steamer lid that has cracked, and its been over 2 months of communication with "Evelyn" their AI customer service agent.
Nothing is getting done. We cannot get through to them - an actual human. They have stopped being helpful, AFTER promising that our new lid is "being processed and should ship within 5-7 business days." Literal WEEKS have been going by and no further updates.
I get the same response every time I ask.
Take my advice and do not burn your cash on a Saunabox (or simply buy one knowing you'll never get support when you need it.)
I will shout from rooftops to NOT buy this product, nor will I recommend to anyone I know.
I purchased a sauna box for my wife’s birthday last year. We absolutely love it! However, the heater stopped working after seven months of infrequent use. I contacted Saunabox and gave them all the necessary information to fulfill my two year warranty. After over a month of getting the runaround by an AI bot, and not receiving a new heater I went ahead and purchased a new one on Amazon for less than 50 bucks. Great product, but not the level of customer service I would expect!

Similar to customer service experience by others. Heat unit broke after 2 weeks of use, and we have not received any help despite reaching out and sending videos and pictures over the last 3 weeks. Hopefully someone will help resolve the issue, but I feel like we just lit over $400 on fire. Based on the responses, I highly suspect that an AI bot is running the initial customer service response. Gives a clue about how much Saunabox cares about the customer.

We ordered our SaunaBox in December of 2024. We received it, only to find that when opening the package, the sauna shield was torn. They immediately responded to ship a new one. Well, 3 weeks later it shipped and 4 weeks later we got it. After receiving it, we then realized our lid was broken. The three prongs to seal the lid, one snapped causing steam to escape. We again, put in a request for a new lid. After 6 separate emails, asking where is it, they finally responded and scheduled one to ship. Well, here we are March 1st and it still has not shipped. I have emailed them over 15 times requesting a refund for this faulty product and probably the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They have an automated response and then say they will send the ticket to someone who can help. Yeah, no one helps, nor responds. Beware of this TERRIBLE product, but even worse the customer service or lack there of. We would NEVER suggest this company. A mistake was made, and we will be taking this to the next level.
Steam generator broke 8 months into use. They did warranty (took 2 months to replace).
Overall product is great.
Customer service is a hot mess. Extremely unorganized and that’s if you even get a response.
Experience will be good if you don’t have to use customer service.

I am loving my Saunabox bundle. Both the sauna and plunge add great value to my everyday health journey. I never thought I would look forward to sitting in frigid water. But here I am ….
Fast shipping, great quality and super easy to assemble. I'm obsessed and use mine daily! I HIGHLY recommend this company and their products!! A+++++
The first one broke after 50 days, but they replaced it. Now the new one works well, stays hot and feels great. I hope this one lasts for months.
